They have the best crab cakes. The bar drinks aren't great but if you're not a drinker the food is amazing.
One of the best seafood restaurants in the Baltimore area.
Great food. Service was good. Inside is a little dated.
Great food!
I've never been disappointed n Pappas, the food is always good and the servers are extremely nice. Prices are a bit high, but the specials are very nice.
Staff was very kind even though it took a little while just to put our order in. Otherwise the food was delicious. Definitely will be back soon. 🙂
The dirty dishes (soup cups) were not cleared when main meal served. Had to request beverage refills.
Great crab cakes
Went for the highly rated crab cakes and wasn't disappointed.
We we seated right away. It took a really long time to receive our food. The was ok. The fried oysters were to breaded. The crab soup, the crabcakes, and the crab imperial were good.
They did not remember my reservation for my moms birthday
I made a reservation on New Years Eve for 10 people at 4 pm. When we arrived a party of 17 were just getting seated. I thought, oh no, I bet we will need to wait for our table. Not so, our table was ready and waiting for us. Our server, Amy, was wonderful. She was very attentive and quickly refilled our beverages when needed. The food, as always was great; especially the crab cakes. My husband especially liked his scallops. Everyone in our party raved about their food and the outstanding service. This might be our go to choice for holiday dinners.
I used the online reservation and this is the first time I actually had my reservation right. My only suggestion would be to have the option for tables or a booth. Lucky for us we could get a table.
We had a large group and the service was great on time and perfect. The food is always wonderful and large portions.
We used reserve a table in advance. When we arrived there were a lot of people waiting. We were shown right to our table. Perfect system !
The crab cakes were underdone. we pointed this out to the waitress, who said, "Sometimes they look like that, but I will ask them to cook them more."
Inexcusable remark and the food should have been prepared from the start to the correct doneness, without gooey in the middle, not taken back to the kitchen for a redo. The person with me was from out of state and I took her for the crab cakes. She said, "the waitress was even nicer to those at the table behind us." Our sister is a waitress, so we know what "good" looks like.
Will not come back
The crab cakes are excellent the prime rib special also very good. Bar service always spot on. My only complaint is the mandatory 20% tip added to my bill when I sit at the bar regardless of what i eat or drink. I travel for business and eat out 4/5 times a week. Just an example i have 2 beers during happy hour $4.00 i would generally give 5 bucks keep the change but with mandatory 20% tipping 80 cents is all they get and I'll keep the 20 cents. Makes no sense to me as the bill grows so does the tip. I thought tipping was for good service if everyone has to tip 20% what is the incentive for a waitress to give you excellent service. The bill has a line for additional tip as if 20% isn't enough.
Absolutely the BEST crab cake ever. I had the 10 oz version and it was pure crab meat - very little filler. It was my first time at Pappas while in Baltimore on business.
It was a sensational meal. The crab soup was great the crab cake was even better. The salad was huge and baked potato was cooked perfectly. And the price was amazingly low. Thank you Pappas.
Seated on time according to our reserved time. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Noise level was wonderful and able to carry a conversation with everyone in our party. All tables were nicely spaced for comfort of all in the area. Wait staff was helpful, attentive to our needs and friendly.
The crab cakes are as good as folks tell you. We also enjoyed the prime rib which was very good. We are definitely going back!
My Wife and I have yet to have anything less than good here. My New York Christopher (N.Y. Strip and crab imperial) was cooked exactly as the medium rare I requested. My Wife's crabcake was a good sized lump with just about no filler and quite tasty. We brought home portions as they were quite large. Our Server, Kellie, was excellent and very timely on our requests.
My one suggestion is on making sure your hostess knows if you made your reservation thru Open Table. Our Hostess was too busy trying to seat us a walk in traffic despite my telling her we booked thru Open Table. She also missed my Open Table request to sit us near an entry or exit door. I had to to get that table on my own. I had also tried to explain to her how I would get a notice from Open Door - which I did - should it appear that I did not show up for my reservation.
Great crabcakes, slow service. And it's in Glen Burnie.

King Pappas has give us another mouth full of those thick tasteful crab cakes along with some hot delightful cream crab soup to warm up your soul on any given day. Our daughter enjoyed her hot pizza with a large side of hot french fries! King Pappas show our military family with some love but we had expected that their cheesecakes would have been fresh so we thought we would getting the same flavor as well as your cold-slaw but we didn't. We shall be coming back for those crab cake, cream of crab soup, french fries, russet potato, pizza & sweet tea but as long you have that fishy warm cold-slaw & stale cheesecakes we wouldn't be ordering any of those items. Here is a suggestion, order from Coveted Cakes for cakes because that strawberry cheesecake was unacceptable!!
Our third visit. This time food took much longer and was unfortunately not hot
The crab cakes are still amazing, though.
Of the three Pappas restaurants this one is our favorite. Casual atmosphere and great food. What else could you ask for?
We have become big fans of Pappas. Usually eat there at least once every two weeks. Love the prime rib and also crab cakes and shrimp salad. We really have to try more of your menu!
I definitely would return to try more dishes. The baby back ribs were delicious 😋, tender the meat was falling off the bone.
Each of our group enjoyed the luncheon special. Of course the crab cakes were tasty but also the sides & soups were equally as good. We were truly impressed with our waitress. She was quick & efficient. Worth a 22% tip.
The service was spot on,the waitress was very helpful with the menu. I will be back, next time I will try the lasagna..
best crab cake in Baltimore varied menu daily specials especially WED Crab Cakes
The waiter had too many tables to serve causing him to forget things we ordered
The food was excellent. We ordered two crabcake platters and the portion size was spot on. The old bay wings were fried and seasoned to perfection. My husband said that the Pappas paleale was delicious. It had hints of citrus with no after taste and paired well with his meal. Are server was very polite and we could tell she had plenty experience providing customer service. It is definitely a sports bar setting so if you are looking for great food, plenty of laughs and good beer we would recommend a visit.
The crab cake was very large and had the most crab meat I've ever seen!
I had an excellent, well priced meal at Pappas. I am not a fan of their crab cakes so I tried the rainbow trout. I didn't want it blackened and after some hiccups with the server, I got a lovely, boned trout that was cook perfectly.
I try it again.
Our waitress was excellent. I wish I knew her name. On the younger side. Crab cake was delicious.
This was my second time there and it was Great. Our waitress was awesome and the food was great. Would go back in a second.
A party of 3, ages 21; 61 & 88, all got the crab cake platter & loved it! Fast & good service made it a perfect evening.
Excellent ambiance for a night with family and great food.
Crab cake as good as G&M. Environment more like a restaurant than a bid eating hall.
