Pappas Restaurant - Glen Burnie
Of the three Pappas restaurants this one is our favorite. Casual atmosphere and great food. What else could you ask for?
We have become big fans of Pappas. Usually eat there at least once every two weeks. Love the prime rib and also crab cakes and shrimp salad. We really have to try more of your menu!
I definitely would return to try more dishes. The baby back ribs were delicious 😋, tender the meat was falling off the bone.
Each of our group enjoyed the luncheon special. Of course the crab cakes were tasty but also the sides & soups were equally as good. We were truly impressed with our waitress. She was quick & efficient. Worth a 22% tip.
The service was spot on,the waitress was very helpful with the menu. I will be back, next time I will try the lasagna..
best crab cake in Baltimore varied menu daily specials especially WED Crab Cakes
The waiter had too many tables to serve causing him to forget things we ordered
The food was excellent. We ordered two crabcake platters and the portion size was spot on. The old bay wings were fried and seasoned to perfection. My husband said that the Pappas paleale was delicious. It had hints of citrus with no after taste and paired well with his meal. Are server was very polite and we could tell she had plenty experience providing customer service. It is definitely a sports bar setting so if you are looking for great food, plenty of laughs and good beer we would recommend a visit.
The crab cake was very large and had the most crab meat I've ever seen!
I had an excellent, well priced meal at Pappas. I am not a fan of their crab cakes so I tried the rainbow trout. I didn't want it blackened and after some hiccups with the server, I got a lovely, boned trout that was cook perfectly.
I try it again.
Our waitress was excellent. I wish I knew her name. On the younger side. Crab cake was delicious.
This was my second time there and it was Great. Our waitress was awesome and the food was great. Would go back in a second.
A party of 3, ages 21; 61 & 88, all got the crab cake platter & loved it! Fast & good service made it a perfect evening.
Excellent ambiance for a night with family and great food.
Crab cake as good as G&M. Environment more like a restaurant than a bid eating hall.
Delicious crab cake platter with succotash and a salad - all in our part of 3 had the same but with different sides. Special berry colada. Olivia was a very attentive waitress!
Food was excellent. Crab cakes were full of large clumps of crab meat. Delicious!!
FLAVORFUL, fantastic, delicious, meaty, low filler crab cakes! Great friendly service! Casual atmosphere. Cold crisp and ample side salads with plenty of dressing on the side. Good selection of other sides. Stop eating big tasteless crab cakes and come to Pappas - Two (2) locations! Nice selection of other foods but I only have eaten the crab cakes. Cream of crab soup has been a little too thick at times but you can easily remedy that by thinning it down with a little cup of sherry. Yum.
Great food, great service, great prices
Great service and solid crab cake. You certainly can feel satisfied after eating there.
Not at all what I thought based on reviews I’ve read. The place wasn’t the cleanest. The bathroom was disgusting. We ordered crab nachos and calamari for an appetizer and they were both mediocre. Actually the calamari was a step below. It was a little salty and and I’ve never seen rings so small. The kids pizza looked like a Banquet frozen deep dish, and the fish and chips my son did enjoy. I had the crab cake which was good but the fries were tough and dry. However the lump crab was delicious. I could have eaten another but i could get a good crab cake elsewhere so it’s definitely not worth going back to Pappas for.
Go here once a week and never had such an experience. Ordered a bottle of wine but got the wrong one. Only one of the two of us got our meal and that was wrong. Waited ten minutes for my dinner but it never came. Finally had to cancel it. No explanation was given. Left to sit there without a meal while my companion ate theirs.
Great food, good value and quick and pleasant service
Disappointed that the rock fish special was unavailable although clearly listed on the specials menu. This was an early dinner (5:00pm), so can't understand why they would run out of the fish so early,
We enjoyed Pappas while celebrating a dear friend's birthday. It was surprisingly quiet and the noise level was pretty tolerable. I figured everyone had been there for Fathers Day the day before. Food quality was good but the rainbow trout was a bit too crispy and the rockfish portions a bit small. Salmon looked fantastic. Unfortunately our server disappeared mid meal but the rest of the wait staff stepped in. Not sure if it is your policy to recognize birthdays but if you do, it got lost in the transition of servers- so that was a bit disappointing.
Maybe next time you will get all the stars in the rating.
Pappas is committed to serving you the best way possible. Some of the best food I've ever had in the dmv area!!! There was not one impolite staff member onsite and the restaurant had a unique atmosphere.
The restaurant had trouble finding my reservation and tried to tell me I had to wait 45 min to an hour, even after showing them my confirmation on my phone. Finally another hostess came over and told the one trying to help me that she was looking at the dinner and not the lunch list. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately. The server was prompt to get our drinks and order but not available during our meal. Food was delicious. Maybe need to try again another day.
Was told the crab cakes were one of the best in Maryland. They are not. Too much filler.
It's expensive but it was worth it food are delicious...
While there was plenty of jumbo lump crab in the cake, the taste was lacking. If you want a good crab cake, go to Oregon Ridge Grill or the Severn Inn. Cream of crab soup had more flavor, but was too thick and needed sherry. Avoid wine list and cocktails. Staff was courteous and service was good, but rushed.
Mothers day reservation. Place was slammed. Food & drinks were still superb. Hats off to the kitchen & bar staff!
We had reservations and we were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and professional. The food was Great! I had the Crab Cakes! "I'll be back "
I bought a steak dinner Filet mingon and it was 1-burnt 2- the driest piece of steak I’ve ever eaten. 3- the crab dip was mushy. For paying $30 for a dry peace of steak for $30 is just horrible! Oh and I asked for fried onions and that came out literally 8 minutes after I got my dry steak
Loved it. Had a great time. We was early for our reservations and they did not make us wait. Will certainly be back
Food was delicious as always, service was wonderful and most importantly, Mom felt loved and had a full belly on Mother's Day. Thank you to the staff member who helped me modify my reservation with ease.
We had a fun evening with our friends who were visiting from out of town on a business trip. We were able to make a reservation and did not have to wait long for our table. Our server was a really sweet lady. Very friendly and polite. Our food took quite a long time to come out, which we had never experienced before. I also had to keep requesting for my glass of water to be refilled.
Best crab cakes!!! Love the restaurant.
Always bring out of town friends for crab cakes. The lunch specials are great.
I've been a resident of Glen Burnie for nearly 30 years and Pappas is my go-to place for good food. They have THE best crab cakes in the area.
the food is a bit over priced, don't you think? i totally get the seafood portion(especially the crabcakes) but everything else was plain jane ...but pay almost $30.00.
our server was kind and friendly, the food was pretty good not gonna lie but not worth the price.
over all Pappas is overly-hyped and not as cracked up to be as ppl say.
Crab cakes are still good, but my Rainbow Trout Francaise was very heavy for a supposedly light dish. The sauce overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the trout. The service was, again, a bit suspect. My wife ordered a crab cake with rice pilaf and broccoli sides, but instead got a baked potato and no broccoli. I know this occasionally happens, but this is the second visit in a row that they got our order wrong. We like this restaurant for the crab cakes, but this decline in other areas may lead us to hunt crabs elsewhere.
