Food was excellent service was good
Great crab cakes for 2 people,
and 2 good fried shrimp dishes
for 2, and great spaghetti and
meatballs for another. Also had
4 great Shrimp bisque. Overall
was a fabulous lunch.
Sat next to table with fussy small infant. Not aware water glass empty needed refill. Little on expensive side. Not offered soup choice til after I mentioned it myself. Also, had made reservations told to have a seat but other couples came in without reservations and were seated before us. Wasn’t told at front desk that we could be seated immediately. So disappointed about that.
The meal was excellent as always- best crab cakes we’ve ever had!
Good fresh seafood. Surcharge on crab dishes is reasonable compared to some other restaurants. Only one concern which has nothing to do with food, toilet seat in bathroom is wobbly.
Very large and delicious crab cakes.
My son had the shrimp bisque and
it was very good.
My wife and I had the broiled salmon and the jumbo shrimp stuffed with Crab Imperial. WOW! The salmon is always great. We brought half the shrimp w/ crab imperial home. Absolutely delicious with many huge lumps of crap in a delicious sauce. Another great meal.
Dined with my mom and had a wonderful time. Mom had a delicious fried shrimp platter and I ordered a perfectly cooked strip steak.
The portions were huge. Our server, Boris, was amazing.
First time dining there that we didn’t order their signature crab cake.
Up charge for crab but understand due to shortage.
As always our dinner’s were delicious. My only complaint is this. I made a reservation for four, high top, in bar area. The reservation site on Open Table specifically asked if a high top was preferred, which I selected. When we got to the restaurant we were told they do not reserve high tops. I know this may not sound like a big deal, however one of my friends has back issues and is much more comfortable when sitting in the higher chairs. If the restaurant cannot accommodate this request it should be taken off reservation site as an option. Thank you
Great crab cake and crab cake sandwich! Great service but a bit pricey.
Pappas is always a great choice for a meal. Best crabcakes and soup, lots of specials, good drinks and great service makes Pappas a true gem.
This is an amazing restaurant! First, the service is top notch. My server (Mike) was attentive, fast, knowledgeable and very personable.
Second, the food was incredible. I ordered the crab soup and crab cake dinner, both dishes were extremely flavorful. The restaurant seafood seasoning enhanced the entrees and would be good on any dish (the seasoning is better than Old Bay in my opinion). I highly recommend this restaurant.
Thanks to Ethan, our server. He was excellent and added to our experience.
Decided to go to Pappas's in Cockeysville instead of Parkville for a change. It was so much better. Didn't feel as cramped or like I was sitting on another table's laps. I do wish they could make the noise level a bit lower, but I realize it is hard to keep people from talking so loudly. Thanks for a nice meal and will definitely come back.
The crab cakes are delicious. My friend got the red snapper which was excellent.
We sat in the bar area for the first time since it was Happy Hour! Loved it! Oysters were delish as were entrees!
Crab cake was superb!! Service was lacking bc half the time we couldn’t find our waitress.
Loved this place!! Crab cakes were excellent!!! Met my Dad here for his birthday....I was nervous because I had never been. Could not be happier!!! Great experience!
Excellent enough I order delivery and this be day shipping to Colorado
Nice quiet with great service
Always good food. Like everywhere else they need to add an extra charge for their crab cakes, but were worth it.
Enjoyable 51st Anniversary Dinner,,,food was delish!
Whenever we come to Baltimore we try to get our fill of Maryland crab cakes, and know that Pappas is the place to go!
Service was impeccable and the food was its traditional very good. Maybe its just the cost of crabmeat, but our overall meal was pricey and portions were only modest for the cost. I recall larger crab cakes in the past.
Outstanding crab cakes as usual but almost had to take out a second mortgage! Crab meat is ridiculous! $30 for one crab cake with two sides! What the heck is going on?!
I was disappointed that one of our entrees, a NY Strip steak, came to the table well done when it was ordered med-rare. It took over 10 minutes to replace, and the two other entrees were just sitting on our table. We either had to eat them and leave one person out, or sit there waiting while they got cold. No monetary apology was made. I expected a glass of wine or dessert on the house as possible appropriate choices, but it didn't happen. The steamed shrimp we ordered for an appetizer were very overcooked. Aside from these two things, we had a very nice dinner and enjoyed ourselves. Go try the crabcakes!
A group of 5 of us had a very enjoyable meal. 4 had the Chilean Sea Bass and loved it. I had the Pork Chops and they were also very good. The only disappointment was Happy Hour items were always available in the restaurant but that has been discontinued. I guess we will sit in the bar area going forward.
I hadn’t been to Pappas, formally Patrick’s, in 18+ years. I returned to the area for business and chose Pappas in hopes that it was the same place that I was thinking. As I was driving there, I recognized landmarks! I ordered the cream of crab soup and the crab cake dinner. It was as delicious as I remembered it from years back! Great restaurant!
We went for a Birthday celebration for my husband, and everything was delicious.
Not the restaurant it used to be. Crab cakes got smaller and way more expensive
Food is always outstanding. Service is great. My only issue now is that reservations for high top tables in the bar are no longer available. Would love to still have that as an option. Now just try and show up early and hope for the best.
The service and the food was excellent. The waitress was very attentive.
Pricey but, excellent food, "best crab cake in town." Great service with friendly wait staff. Unlike many "post pandemic" restaurants Pappas has not compromise portion size nor quality of food.
Our server, Anna, was great. However, rhe kitchen screwed up both of our orders, mine multiple times. When we finally got the correct food it was delicious - hot & tasted really good. Unless screwing up orders is the norm for the kitchen, a visit from a manager should have happened. Anna was very apologetic but it really is not her responsibility to address lapses of the kitchen with the customer.
Our wait staff (Amanda) was very good and attentive
One of my favorite places to dine. The best Crab cake in town. I sat in the bar area for the first time, and I loved it. Everything was awesome.
Had a great dinner, will return
The staff was truly awesome! They treated us like we were VIPs the entire time.
Had made a reservation for a high top in the bar, but now that places have opened back up the restaurant is no longer honoring reservations in the bar. Fortunately we were able to find a couple seats at the bar itself.
