   Preface: I have been to Pappas Bros. before and had wonderful experiences, each time. Because of those prior experiences, I wanted to celebrate my birthday at Pappas Bros. The table was not ready when we arrived; not a big, so we went to the bar for some drinks. The bar staff was a bit slow getting the tab ready as they were calling us to our table. Our waiter was very nice and very knowledgeable of each menu item. He was, however, very slow with everything and our party felt a bit neglected. We waited a long time for water and had to ask for bread. When we had to ask for things from the waiter, he would hear the first thing and then run off before we got to ask for other things. We ordered drinks and only one drink came and we waited for thirty minutes for the waiter to return with news that the restaurant was out of the other drinks we ordered. We then requested wine and waited another 20 or so minutes for the wine to arrive. The appetizers, food, and desserts were amazing. Altogether, the dinner was fair, at best. I’m not sure if our waiter was generally lackadaisical or if the place was understaffed. Hopefully he and the restaurant will improve.

   Another outstanding meal at Pappas Bros Steakhouse . Have not been to a Pappas steakhouse in a couple of years (usually visit the Westheimer locaton) and they still have it going on as the best steakhouse in America! Have been going to Vic & Anthony's in Lake Charles lately due to proximity to where we live but this is still a level above. Our server Patricia was outstanding. Well versed on menu, specials and we had a lot of fun with her. Will definitely be back to this location just to have Patricia help us again. Sommelier (forgot his name-sorry) had a great suggestion on an Argentinian Malbec (Paraje Altamira Luca 2019 $90) that was one of the best we've had. Found it to be a good value vs the California Cabs that seemed too overpriced on their wine list. Wife and I split the Bone-in Filet ordered Medium Rare Plus and it was perfectly cooked for the both of us-I like Medium Rare and the wife likes Medium. We were both happy with temperature of the steak not to mention it melted in our mouth. portion size was more than enough to leave us both full. Couple with us split the bone-in Ribeye and they too said it was best they've ever had and more than enough and he is a cattle rancher that eats a lot of beef! Finished off with the biggest piece of cheesecake ever that the 4 of us split and still had some leftover. perfect meal to start the evening and we finished with the Eagles in concert. Thanks Pappas Bros for a perfect evening.

   The experience was absolutely phenomenal. We celebrated our 10th anniversary here. Anita our server was on top of her game. Everyone who stopped at our table wished us a happy anniversary. Our water glasses were never empty (in fact we tried to drink our water quickly and time how long it took them to come refill… under 30 seconds if you’re wondering). Richard stopped by and spoke with us - asked about how long we were married, we talked about kids, life, etc. It felt like we were part of the family. We will be back and I can assure you that we will consider Pappas Bros Steakhouse a “must-do” for our future special events. Thanks again to the staff for making us feel welcome and celebrated.

    We arrive earlier than our reservation was, but they didn’t make us wait and directly took us to our table. DeMarcus was our waiter and gave us the best recommendations!!!! Definitely we wouldn’t have enjoyed that much if it wasn’t for him!!! The wine!! And the lobster!!! Don’t hesitate it is totally worth it !!

    We were in Houston for our honeymoon and ended our trip with dinner at Pappas. It was AMAZING. The food was fantastic. Our only concern was the noise but with a busy restaurant that’s hard to contain. The highlight were the Brussel sprouts recommended by our waiter, Jasmine. He was great. We highly recommend this restaurant for the best steak in Houston!

    What a delight it was to find this restaurant. I gave it five stars because I could not give it 10. Everything was perfect the atmosphere had a lovely old world charm. The excellent pianist plays on Thursday and Saturday apparently. The gentleman who chose my lobster chose just the perfect one. My cocktail was excellent and not overly sweetened. The service was absolutely impeccable down to the last simple detail. I was treated with old world charm and respect that I have not seen anywhere since before Covid and even then it was rare. They seem to have plenty of Staff and I was taken care of to an exceptional level.

    My wife and I went for our anniversary, although we were there a couple of months ago too. They sat us in a room that had 8 tables and so the noise level was very good. Our server was Rob, and he paid the right amount of attention to us. As always, the food was fabulous. I had the 12-ounce filet, and my wife had the New York strip. Fantabulous!!

    They are the only restaurant I go to for steak in Houston. (I usually cook my own steak at home). Had the prime ribeye 16oz and it was cooked perfectly with an amazing crust. The server accidentally spilled my wife’s drink which she almost finished, and they replaced it with a new one and subtracted it from the check! They also gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. Service was impeccable! Great ambiance, top notch service, excellent steak and sides made our night unforgettable. They are always consistent, and that is why they are my number 1 steakhouse in Houston.

    Have been at this place a couple of times on trips and the food has always been great and never disappointing. There was one waitress along with a waitress in training, where the waitress in training was great, however the main waitress had an attitude problem.

    Had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Devin was so knowledgeable about the wine and cocktail selections as well as the food. He was very attentive and so helpful. Cannot say enough good things about how delicious our meals were. The bacon wrapped scallops were amazing. We had the Brussels sprouts and sautéed mushrooms for sides and both were delicious. Steaks ( husband had the NY strip ; I had the filet duo special topped with shrimp and lump crabmeat ). Melt in your mouth - best steaks we have ever had. To top it off you are getting a true Houston experience eating at Pappas. The Pappas family has been making great food for Houstonians since the 1970’s.

    My wife & I truly enjoyed our first experience there last night. Probably the best peppercorn steak I’ve ever had. It blended perfectly with the Brussels sprouts. The waiter we had was so kind, warm & professional too.
