We like the Papa's in the galleria and this one Holly up just as well!
From the initial booking of the reservation all the way through everything was on point! The manager was amazing and treated our birthday guests from out of town with the best hospitality. Our table is amazing the food was for the most part over the top. The corn chowder and the turtle soup were not favorites among our group but everything else was amazing!
It’s one of our favorite Houston restaurants ! Love the food love the atmosphere love the service! Richard the manager always comes by and checks on everything making sure you are completely satisfied and means it ! He makes you feel you are a part of their family! We love this restaurant!
Just what you’d expect from a classic, high end steak house. The food was excellent. The service was great for an extremely busy night.
Celebrating my wife’s birthday- really loud which made table conversation almost impossible. The service and food was great and since it was HRW it was a remarkable value too! Several of us had doggie bags. We were not a fan of the valet...we had to walk a weird roundabout route thru the restaurant at the end of the meal because they had closed the street, and then our car was dropped at the corner...not even brought up to us. For $10 I expect better...needless to say they didn’t get a tip since my entire group had to schlep half a city block to the car after walking throttle whole restaurant/back door.
Service and food are outstanding!
Devin was such an outstanding server. We were entertaining a business guest, and everything went so smoothly. I will definitely make Pappas Bros. Steakhouse our "go to" meeting place.
A most pleasant dining experience; highlighted by top notch service and excellent food. However, what made the experience was was the exceptional customer service prompted by the waiter and delivered by the sommelier. Allow me to explain, I mentioned to the waiter how a wine pairing would compliment the extraordinary menu choices. Without further ado, the sommelier was summoned and we discussed menu choices so the sommelier could plan the pairing. A different wine was presented with each of the three courses and a detailed explanation was given for each selection. The topper to this experience was the charge for the wines was maintained in a very reasonable range. I will remember that meal for a long time.
Outstanding filet mignon that was cooked exactly as requested. Truly one of he best filets that I have eaten in years. Our server, Jason, was excellent. First, everything we ordered was served correctly. Second, he was very friendly.
The server busted a glass across our table soaking a member of our party.

Food quality has gone down, steak grisly, served only moderately warm, dry mashed potatoes. disappointing, used to be fantastic but last two visits similarly poor.
Steaks were not as good as they have been.
Fantastic experience. Loved every minute of it from the salad dressing to the amazing steaks to the delightful key lime pie. Service staff was amazing!
Superb steaks as usual! Brussels sprouts were also outstanding! A great experience overall.

Visited during restaurant week for dinner. So the value was amazing, the filet and ny strip were cooked to perfection and were delicious! We were very glad to be seated in kind of an enclosed area of the restaurant, as the main dining room was quite loud.
The waiter started out friendly . Once he realized we were ordering from the “Houston Restaurant Week “ Menu , all the friendliness and good service disappeared .
Jason was/is fantastic!! He made our experience very unforgettable and recommended all the right dishes, we will be back!
The waiter didn't come around very often and waiting for a refill and drinks to long. Waiting on other people faster than our table of four. Waiter was not that great..Made the experience not good.
We came to experience Pappas Steakhouse as part of Restaurant Weeks. Travis was on top of our orders and made us feel very special for the event. After the delicious meal, we also got to take a tour of the rest of the restaurant include the beef aging room. It was a delightful experience. We will definitely come again on other occasions.
Food was excellent, wine and liquor choices great. The server was very helpful, knowledgeable and prompt. Overall, it was a very positive dining experience!

The quality of food and service is always great at Pappas. Its a little dark so its a little hard to read the menu; however its a great place for a nice dinner!
Was seated @ 8:15pm for a 7:30pm dinner reservation. Was not expecting to wait that long if I had a reservation.
Went for Houston Restaurant Week, they treated us like regular clients (unlike some other restaurants that particpate in HRW) and the service was fantastic.
We are frequent visitors to Pappa's but this past weekend with restaurant week and an event downtown our visit was horrible. Service was the worst, 25 minute wait with a reservation a waiter who did not want to be at work and it showed and food that was well below the standards of Pappas
Went for HRW. We had to wait in the bar as they were running 10-15 min behind. Not horrible but it was only 6:45. It took forever to get waited on at the bar, so long that the bottle of wine did not come before we were seated. It was far too loud in the bar. Fortunately in the dining area it was better but still loud. Service was very good in the restaurant and the steak was outstanding. The lobster was good, just not as phenomenal as the filet.
It sometimes seems that restaurants go a little cheap, lower quality, smaller size, for HRW. That was not the case. I can not describe how perfect the steak was!
Cheesecake was very good but it would have been fine with me if it had been half the size.
Restaurant was fantastic, bar was a negative. It would behoove them to be ready on time for reservations to avoid starting on a negative feeling.
Exceptional overall experience. The only negative, and it was of minimal consequence, was the lighting. I found it to be a bit dark for my liking. The food and service was remarkable.
The steaks were cooked perfectly and the brussels sprouts were excellent.
Also enjoyed the Ridge Geyersville Zinfandel.
Absolutely amazing experience! We had a awesome meal and our server/s were extremely personable and professional! I loved the location.
