This was my first experience with Pappas. Over all my experience was very good. Arrived twenty minutes early and was immediately seated. The service was excellent, but it was a little too dark inside the restaurant. The food was good, but the steak was overcooked. Had a couple of charred spots on it, but was still good. The mixed drinks form the bar were made very well.
I will definitely visit Pappas in the future.
Evening was perfect, wait staff great, and sommelier was spot on in selecting a wine for us based on our preferences!
Will definitely be back.
We have been going to the Houston galleria location for years and have had a wonderful experience each time. We went to the Dallas location and did not enjoy it at all. The waiter was arrogant and not very attentive. I guess we were just spoiled. We will go back to the Houston location- but will not return to the Dallas location.
Fabulous dinner with my wife on date night. Alex the bartender is great. Wonderful steak.
It lives up to it's reputation of being a top 25 steakhouse in the country.
Service: Excellent Food: Excellent The Foie Gras appetizer was amazing. Can't get this in California. Shrimp Remoulade was huge, you get 8 huge shrimp and loved the remoulade sauce. Sourdough Bread was huge and hot !!
Would definitely go back again. Prices were on the high side but the quality of Food and Service is top notch. Wish we had Pappa Brothers in California. Much better than Morton's or Ruth Chris Steak house !!
Service started a little shaky but improved as the evening went on. Food was spot on. The patrons on the other hand lacked a bit of class. Starting from the near full parking lot where someone parked their truck so crooked I had to let my wife out before pulling in (and my wife is a petite lady). We also sat next to what seemed to be 3 male's on a business meeting. One of them was using profanity really loudly which took away from the ambiance. A suggestion would be that the security guard that manned the lot could have reported it to management to find out who the truck belonged to or help us find another spot. For the other profanity situation the hostess could be more attentive to where they place a group such as a business dinner as opposed to an anniversary dinner date (yes we let them know ahead of time it was our anniversary).
My wife’s birthday
Always exceptional. Love this place.
Everything was amazing as always!
Had a very enjoyable dinner at Pappas steakhouse the other evening. Steak was very good, sea bass tasty, as were the sides and appetizers. Very busy for a Tuesday night....mostly business dinners. Ambience and service were excellent, steaks average for a steakhouse of this quality. Will go back again when in Dallas!
The fillet was amazing! The manager Tina was so sweet! I would definitely recommend eating here.
I normally don't write reviews, but I'm making an exception. We got together with friends to celebrate two 60th birthdays. We typically go to Bob's for steaks, but thought since Pappas received such outstanding reviews we would give it another try. We have been there several times in the past but believed the value/service to price just wasn't there.
I requested a good table since it was a double celebration. We were seated in the small room behind the bar. Not much ambiance or energy. The fireplace was blazing and it was a 100 degree day, needless to say, it was warm in there. I walked through the main dining room, was nice and cool with an amazing ambiance. Service was challenging, we waited about 10 minutes before they took our wine order (there was confusion between the Sommelier and our server as to who was taking the order) and our server spoke in such "hushed tones" that it became comical that we couldn't hear her. The steaks were good, as were the sides, but no better than Bob's, 3 Forks or Nick & Sam's.
For me, key factors in choosing a restaurant is service, food, value (associated with the price) and ambiance. Pappas Brothers just didn't meet any of those expectations.
We were placed into an area formerly used as the cigar bar area. The air conditioning was ridiculous - the plant near us was blowing and the air was freezing. We asked them at least 6 times to please turn the air conditioning down and each time they did....for about 10 minutes. Then we were right back to a miserable temperature. I came prepared with a jacket and scarf. I lent my scarf to my dining companion and I used my jacket. The steak was overcooked. The prices are high, which I don't mind if the food and service are good. Unfortunately, it was a miserable experience and I will never return. The only bright spot was a drink at the bar before dinner.
Perfection! From the ambiance to our bone-in filets, to our service. Absolutely perfect! We took the advice of other reviews and tried the Poached Lobster deviled eggs. My husband and I are somewhat egg fans but we both LOVED these eggs! Must try! Of coarse the potatoes au gratin, midnight chocolate cake or creme’ Brûlée are staples. We look forward to our visits here! Truly a treat!
Pricey, but so worth it!! My family of four ordered 3 different varieties of steaks and each of us thought it was the BEST steak we have ever eaten!! Highly recommend if your looking for fabulous food!
We have been going to Pappas to celebrate our anniversary for the last 6 years. Not once would I say it was less than outstanding. This was our 48th here are to many more celebrations to come.
Food was phenomenal! The steak was perfect as well as the dessert.
Martini was fabulous! Steaks were Amazing! Dessert was incredible! But the Lobster Bisque was worth it all!!
Too notch steak as always!
Always the best steak I’ve had. 16oz ribeye is fantastic.
Scallops are a great choice for the appetizer. The crab Mac-n-cheese it great.
Impeccable service every time. Great place for a special occasion. Our son had just returned from the Navy.
Excellent food and Service. Quality in every aspect. Love the large wine selection and knowledge that is provided before selecting. They took the time to educate us so that we chose the perfect bottle. Love this place!
Steaks as good as they come, portions for giants, so share
Awesome as always, they do a great job making special occasions memorable
Absolutely wonderful service and delicious cuisine. Pappas Bros. never disappoints.
Fantastic across the board. Expensive, but worth it.
Excellent service and great food. Just what we would expect from Pappas.
Great food and service - as always!
Love the turtle gumbo!
Always exceptional. My husband and I love this restaurant. Always a good experience.
WE ahve been to Papa bros many time and they are walways consisntently excellent on their steak.. never disappointed.
My girlfriend and I went to Pappas Bros. to celebrate her birthday and our new found jobs. Zach was an excellent server who helped us find the right wine for our budget and always made sure that our experience was top notch. Pappas is definitely at the top of my list of places to go for a special occasion.
We love going here. The food and service are always top notch!
10 oz filets were excellent and grilled perfectly. Sides were great and waiter very knowledgeable and attentive.
Great experience altogether especially from SOMMELIER Rachel Van Til who took the time to decant our wine, notwithstanding the price range . She also took us on a tour of he extensive wine cellar. The service and attention was greatly appreciated. The Wagyu was out of this world.
Great and consistent as always.
THE place for an absolutely perfectly prepared, amazing steak. Worth the trip every time. Thank you!
Our server, Tyrel, was one of the best servers I have ever had. Very knowledgeable staff and the food was impeccable. Their wine list is like a book. Not pushy on upselling, but did recommend more expensive bottles of wine. The steaks were arguably the best I ever had and cooked to perfection.
The service was nothing short of excellent but the ribeye had very little flavor, especially for the price. My business partner had the NY Strip and said it was excellent! I am not a fan of au gratin potatoes with onions added so it was a but of a waste. The lobster bisque was great as always. The Lychee martini was amazing!
Excellent, excellent, excellent! First time dining here and it did not disappoint. The staff was great and the food was wonderful.
