One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.
Been to Pappas a few times, as we are recent transplants to Keller. Always a good meal. Dined at Pappas Saturday and food was simply outstanding. Filet and Ribeye cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. Service was superb and I mean superb. Will return very soon and it will be one of our regular fine dining steakhouses along with Bob’s and Perry’s.
Fabulous place to enjoy my husbands 45th birthday.
An excellent dinner, from start to finish. Service was perfect! A wonderful place to dine, celebrate or just enjoy!
We had a wonderful time. We did have a funny moment when I fell walking into the dining area (but I’m good). Food was amazing, cheesecake was delicious.
We really enjoyed our dining experience. The service, the food, and the ambiance were all what we’ve come to expect from a higher end steakhouse.
You will never be disappointed at Pappas Bros Steakhouse. Food and service are always spot on! Best restaurant in Dallas!
My wife and I decided to do a “tour de steakhouses” and Pappas was second on our list but feels like it could be our last. The sides were great, the steak was crisp and juicy, and our waitress Melissa was knowledgeable and witty. It was a bit loud but we were seated next to a party of about 12 and they seemed to be having an excellent time. We will definitely be returning and we hope our next experience is as fulfilling as our first!!
To much pepper on all the food from appetizer to stakes and slow service
Girl Friend’s Birthday
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Papas. The ambience was great and our waiter Nate was phenomenal. The issue was with my husbands steak that had to be sent back twice because it was not cooked the way he requested it. The management did notice this and made some accommodations for us without us having to ask so that was greatly appreciated. Otherwise, it was a pleasant evening.
The service was very nice. We started with appetizers of bacon wrapped scallops and an octopus tentacle. Both were excellent and an ample amount to share. Our steaks and sides were perfectly cooked. The bread was lackluster. A round loaf cut into large quarters. They need a knife in the kitchen or on the plate. Awkward!
We compared the evening with an evening at KNIFE, and KNIFE won.partially due to ambiance. Pappas had TVs on in the charming Fireplace Lounge. They turned one off but left the other on. It is a “Fine dining Steakhouse” not a sports bar.
We will give them a return visit
While pricey, food was excellent quality. Especially the shrimp cocktail. Just feel that salads could be smaller and less in price as well as desserts. Steaks were excellent and cooked just right.
Excellent steakhouse. The wine list is extensive. Steaks were very tasty, but initially served underdone. My colleague and I each ordered dry-aged bone-in New York Strips medium-rare - both came out with cool red centers which I identify with rare. Sent back and came out with perfect warm red centers. Meat was flavorful and tender. Waiter was attentive and accommodating. Would pass on the scalloped potatoes in the future. The potatoes themselves were cooked perfectly with a nice amount of firmness, but not too firm. But, they were swimming in the cream and cheese sauce which overwhelmed them completely.
dinner was fine. We have generally loved the restaurant in the past. Met there on our first date 15 years ago and came this day for our 15th Wedding anniversary.
The steak was undercooked. The $19 mushrooms were not good. We asked for two glasses of house cabernet and the waiter recommended "smoking gun". It was excellent. Had another glass and then found it was $30 per glass on the bill. Restaurant was busy, so I guess it's working for you. I'm not worried about spending $300 on a bill for two people, but it better be excellent and I don't want the waiter padding the bill. He did give us a free desert.
Typically, Pappas Bros. earns rave reviews from me. However, on this occasion are waitress was spacey and mostly invisible. Drinks weren't refilled (even water glasses went empty), food delivery was uneven, and we had to get up and go find a manager to pay the check. I splurged on the Wagyu ($25/oz, 6 oz minimum). Last time, it was amazing. This time, it was pre-sliced which probably would have been ok if our table of 5 had had their food delivered on time. As it was, my husband's dish came out about 5 minutes after the rest of the table. Being polite, I waited. Big mistake as that allowed the meat to cool.
I know that this isn't typical and I generally love PB. However, one constant for the main dining room is the noise level. It was so hard to have a conversation that it became truly annoying. I will be back but will request sitting in the smaller dining area behind the bar.
A very nice experience. Good food with attentive and courteous service. Very good menu selections which are prepared very well. Good for business meals as well as couples.
for my taste it was too loud, but other would call it vivid so was not a bad thing.
I also like the restaurants to be more bright (I'am European) But I found a lot of restaurants in Dallas have not so bright light and more dark. again no bad thing.
Food was great! I would recommend especially the seafood tower. was really fresh and tasty! very good quality!
Always a great place to take customers and colleagues. Service is always top notch and food is great.
Very high quality of Meat, overpriced though( 300 Dollar s 2 Pax), exzellent Service!
Too cold inside!
The entire experience was absolutely outstanding.
There are a few great steakhouses in Dallas that are all very comparable at that high-end. But if I had to pick one, I think I'd choose Pappas. Lousy location (in my opinion) but everything else about the experience is terrific.
Will was our server tonight, and he was excellent.
Jonathan was great! He took really good care of us. We usually come for our anniversary but we may start coming more than once a year!
If I die tomorrow, I had a fitting last meal! Bluepoints and martinis, filet and Silver Oak, all beautifully prepared and served. Perfection!
There are a number of great steakhouses in the Dallas area, but to me this one is the best. Was given a gift certificate to try Pappas the first month it opened in Dallas in 1989. It was fantastic then and remains so today. Always a great spot to take clients, friends and those special people in your life!!
Salads- Very good
Wine person Excellent
Felt very rushed.......
Family group-needed to visit...
Love, Love Love this place! Decor looks like Hollywood in it's heyday and ambiance is warm and inviting. Service was impeccable and food to die for. The lobster stuffed deviled eggs were out of this world. We both had the filet duo and loved it. Gave us an opportunity to try steak 2 ways. One steak had a wine/mushroom reduction and a big fat grilled shrimp on top. The other steak was prepared Oscar style. We also had Lobster Bisque which wasn't on the menu and I haven't ever had better. Also received a complimentary dessert (for my birthday) that finished off the meal perfectly. This is always my go-to place for special occasions, just wish I had more of them!
Henry was incredible! The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Overall we had a fabulous time and would definitely go back!
From the minute we got there we felt rushed. The service was unpolished - we had to ask to order a cocktail. My medium rare steak was gray - no sear at all. And it must have been sitting under a heat lamp because one person was delivering the steak while another cleared my salad plate. We've been there before, but we won't go back.
As Always the food is as good as anywhere you would ever eat. Steaks and seafood and it is all premium. You will it get a better steak anywhere. Service is always first class
Food is terrific. Our table had apps and varied entrees, and each one was excellent!
So many amazing restaurants in Dallas, Texas; but this remains one of my all time favorites. They could write the script for a total experience that exceeds expectations! Can't wait until next time.
We have been to the restaurant many times and have always enjoyed it. But the service was average at best on this trip.
Steaks were good and cooked as ordered. Waitress
Went tonight for my girlfriend’s birthday and everything was great. Samantha was so knowledgeable, personable, and made the overall experience top notch. I recommend the bacon wrapped scallops and the prime bone in NY Strip!
Great food, Great service, great evening. We moved away from Dallas 6 years ago and were back for a visit and Pappas was on the the top of the list of must do’s. Just as fantastic as we remember! The chocolate mousse is my favorite thing on the menu.
Amazing food!! Great Service. Be prepared as it runs over $100 a person without alcohol. but well worth it
