Pappas Bros. Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Made my reservation several days in advance and never expected to be stuck in the back room with espn going in the corners. Would not pay 375 for a meal with this ambience. We eat steakhouse meals about once a month. Food was good and service not bad, but I won’t be back to this place for a long while
We've never had a bad experience in the past. This time it seems that the table of 11 next to ours was more important.
The salad fork that I had in my mouth was removed from the table and put into a drawer for reuse. Makes me wonder just how clean the remaining silverware is.
Love the food and service was fantastic but the noise level was unbearable. Could not have a normal conversation with the person?across because the noise mkrning evel was so loud you could not hear each other without yelling.
We have eaten here many times but this was the worst as far as noise.
Party of 4 middle of the week. The place was slammed. I am glad we made reservations. They we were ready for us. We were early and spent about 20 minutes in the bar which has a nice selection and staffed well so everyone was being served. Once at our table the real fun began, food, service ... everything was spot on. We will be going back.
I accepted an invitation to join a co-worker to 'check out' the restaurant prior to a large group dinner the following evening. Exceptional service. Food is wonderful. The company and food was the best I've had in a long time. This is a great spot to celebrate anniversary, business meal and to show appreciation to employees that would appreciate a nice dinner.
The food at Pappas is of the highest quality, but the service was lacking. Our server was nice but obviously flustered. There were long gaps when she didn't come around and a manager and bus boy filled in on a couple occasions. We waited 20 minutes between finishing dinner and being offered a dessert menu. When paying for an expensive meal, I expect decent service.
My son and myself was there for a football game and my son's food was fine he had a tenderloin but I ordered the Rib Eye and I'm not sure it was a rib eye after thinking about it. It was Not tender and I make it and it is always tender and it is not Prime meat. I sent a email on there website and NO Response so I guess they don"t care. I'll go to Nick and Sams next time they care.
One of our two steaks was excellent. The ribeye (cooked med. rare) was tough. At this price point, my expectations are high. On quality, sure. But you pay this much for consistency, which just wasnt there. The mac and cheese side was excellent. Our meal cost a total of $250 for two, with no wine. So, a very poor value.
Pappas Steak House is by far the most excellent steak house! I'd be more inclined to classify it as a classy French Steak House. Our server, Troy, was extremely attentive and personable. My water glass was never empty, nor did I once have to ask for a refill. The lighting was a slight bit dark, but that added to the ambiance. All in all a very pleasurable dinner for our wedding anniversary.
I have eaten at Pappas several times but this past saturday was a very disappointing experience. My husband and I made reservations for our 3 year wedding anniversary. We were sat 30 minutes late and our service was painfully slow. For an 8:30 reservation, we didn't get our dinner until 10:30pm which is unacceptable. My steak was also not cooked properly but at that point we had waited so long, I just ate it. They also forgot part of our order and had to go back to get it. We didnt leave the restaurant until midnight. Very disappointing for our anniversary.
Greatly enjoyed a special dinner at Pappas Bros when in Dallas for a long weekend. Our waiter and sommelier were excellent -- the former very attentive and knew the menu inside out, and the latter steered us to a very affordable but delightful red that was perfect with our steaks. Added bonus -- saw former Cowboys greats Tony Dorsett and Mark Stepnoski in the bar before the meal!
