Best steak I have had in years, a wow! Service was great, a little noisy
This was the absolutely beat Birthday maybe I’ve ever had, and I just turned 65 today! Perfection!
One stake was undercooked an the other one was overcook, side dishes where just ok and there was a$10 up charge for a substitution.
Incredible food and service!!
Great dining experience
Joshua our waiter performed very well, in absence of our regular, Luis. The food was delicious, the wine even better. Customers for life, thank you Pappas!
Loved the atmosphere. It was really busy so our waiter wasn’t as attentive as I would have liked but still an overall good time. I didn’t enjoy my food at all so I didn’t eat but a couple of bites. I ordered lamb chops (they’re small) and the lobster mac and cheese. My friend enjoyed her food. She had steak and potato. I’m not sure who it was that came to the table but our waiter told someone I didn’t like my food and when the bill came he apologized and removed them from my bill without me asking. I was going to pay for it but I really appreciated it and for that I will be back but will be trying something different on the menu.
Excellent food and service as usual
Casey was awesome! She treats us like family and royalty!
Best steak in town. Never disappointed. Service is spot on. Love the ambiance you feel you are in a steak house
Best place in Texas
I have food allergies and I appreciate that the manager comes over and ensures that my food will not contain the allergens. The staff is very attentive and makes sure your experience is outstanding. The food is delicious and the wine list is extensive.
Vanessa was our server and she was great. Excellent service and her recommendations were greet!
Best ribeye that I’ve ever had. Service was great. Food was great!
Only things that need improvement would be to; serve ice with the water and provide a little better lighting for those of us with old and tired eyes
Outstanding service and food as usual
Service from bar very slow. Was billed for a $20 drink we did not order. Food excellent, service very average.
Best RibEye in town.
Serena style "potatoes au gratin with fresh jalapeños" recommendation was a new twist to our Pappas visit. Loved them.
Food, service, ambiance, everything was perfect!
The steaks were awesome. Potatoes Augratin were too soupy. Great special Old Fashioned and good Spinach.
We celebrated the OU Texas game at Pappas Brothers for the 14th time.. Food was outstanding. Steak, perfect. Gooey pecan pie, life changing. We all had a wonderful time. Thanks Pappas!
I enjoyed my dinner at Pappa Bros. My only disappointment is the size of the double lamb chops are smaller than usual.
Food and service was amazing. We went for our anniversary and both got steaks along with the Caesar salad and au gratin potatoes. My boyfriend loves the peppercorn steak but honestly my favorite was the salad. Server was very personable and polite. My only complaint is that the lack of a dress code. People are there in flip flops and a tee. Sort of puts a dent in the ambiance. Also the prices have really skyrocketed over the past year.
It was my daughters 21st Bday. I had a wine saved for this special occasion for years. I flew out to meet her from California was excited to finally open it and cherish it with her. However, this restaurant doesn’t allow you to bring in your own bottles. I’m like what are you talking about. This policy is so old they need to catch up with the times. I highly doubt it’s a policy related to their liquor license as fellow Texans in our group say they have never heard of such a thing. They do however have an impressive wine list. The waitress, Somm, and all the rest of the service tram were incredible. I would definitely go back for the service and food; however not for a special occasion that you have a special wine that you brought….as they won’t allow it. :((
Wonderful food and service, but everything is very expensive.
Really nice waiter. The food came out in decent timing and it tasted well. Will go back.
We had an amazing dinner! The filet was outstanding! The ribeye was a little more tough than I was expecting, however, the flavor was delicious! The salad with the bacon and avocado ranch knocked it out of the park. The wine list was very expansive, but still very approachable (especially with the help of their sommelier). We ended up selecting a old vine zinfandel that blew our socks off. At the end of the meal, I usually pass on deserts. Not this time, and wow I am so glad I didn't the gooey pecan pie and the cheese cake were show stoppers. The reason for the 4 star review was really just because of the timing of the meal. Our server was very nice, but the timing was just off. The bread came late, the main course came when while we were still mid salad course and this lead to the steaks being on the more done side of our desired temp. That all said, the service was still very nice, the food was exceptional, and the ambience was wonderful. I would highly recommend Pappa Bros to anyone looking for the best steak in Dallas.
Food and service is impeccable as usual. I’ll ask for a quieter table next time. The main room is quite load.
Awesome time Better than awesome food and the service was even better than that.
Everything was perfect and the food was very good!
Expensive but delicious. The room we were in was very loud for my taste, but to me that also means that everybody there must have been having a good time. :)
Exceptional food, service was perfect, just a little expensive.
Great dinner experience. Amazing service and food.
I hate it, but Pappas has lost a step. This was our second visit in about 6 weeks and we noticed that the restaurant isn't what it once was. This last visit they seated us in one of the side rooms and the room was extremely cold and the air was blowing straight down on the table. Who wants to eat a cold steak? My wife and I couldn't believe they were oblivious to the uncomfortable condition of the room. Much to their credit we were promptly moved when we asked for a different table. The restaurant was about 50% full, but for some reason the waitress was almost to the point of being rude in her attempt to take our order as soon as we were seated. We felt rushed - we were out of there within an hour. I still do not know what the rush was. There wasn't any issue between us and the waiter - she was just in a hurry, almost as if she wanted to turn the table quickly in hopes of seating another group merely to squeeze in another turn of the table for a tip. We had a similar feeling the previous visit. The wait staff is not what it use to be. It's unfortunate that one of Dallas' premier steakhouses is slipping. The steak was good - not remarkable, but good. Hopefully Pappas will turn things around. Given their performance prior to the last two visits I will not suggest that you shouldn't give Pappas a try, but they need to step up their game.
189 pages of wine to choose from, expertly cooked protein, fabulous service, knowledgeable sommelier (Heather). Fantastic experience.
Great as always! Perfect for my wife’s birthday!
The experience was very nice. The ambiance and room were dark and comfortable. The quality of the meats served were very good as were the side dishes. Everything was done nicely but no one item was really above or beyond. I’ve had the opportunity to visit numerous steakhouses in the Dallas area and around the US. While this meal was good I would not consider it exceptional. If I had a lot of guests or was hosting a business meal I don’t think it would meet the mark at the prices charged.
Steak was cooked perfectly and piano player in the bar area was a nice touch.
The booth we where seated in was too cramped for four people. Noise level was very high. Service was slow to bring drinks, appetizers and food. Once food and drinks where served the over all service was rushed to clear table before people were finished. No table awareness. Waitress only aske two of the four guest about dessert and then walked away from table. We had to ask another waiter to send her back to complete desert order.
