Papaya in Buffalo is a unique Asian kitchen and bar that is both sophisticated and casual. The Southeast Asian cuisine and imaginative martini list makes for an enjoyable experience. Appetizer options include Thai calamari, crispy fried wings with Asian slaw, five spice hoisin pork belly and chicken pot stickers. The blackened fish salad using a fresh daily fish selection is a popular favorite.
Some notable entrée items at Papaya in Buffalo are takrai shrimp with Japanese eggplant, wok seared duck, bento box with scallop tempura and miso marinated butterfish. Children can enjoy chicken tempura, grilled chicken with edamame or fried rice. There is also a sushi menu. For a unique drink consider the Papaya love potion made with raspberry rum, cranberry and Redbull, a special concoction exclusive to Papaya in Buffalo.
My favorite restaurant in the City. Beautiful location, incredible cuisine and the staff is quite impressive and personable. Food is extremely consistent, I have never once had a bad meal or experience and would come everyday for the pad thai alone! With all of that being said, you add in the incredibly reasonable prices and you have quaint memorable restaurant that keeps us coming back for more and more. I refer everyone I know.
Great service and excellent food made for a nice evening.
Had great food, great drinks and a great time
Highly recommend this restaurant - excellent! Food was best we have had in a long time - steak was perfect & noodles the best.
everything was just wonderful.really crowded do the special restraunt week but serve and food were great.this is really a very nice restaurant.
We have been eating here for years & have always looked forward to a quality meal & a full stomach !!
The Butterfish was perfect- tasty and tender, along with the spicy crab roll made the dinner perfect- we almost did not have room for the bananas foster, which was outtasite!
We all went home full & contented....
Friendly, efficient service and tasty food, pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a good dining experience.
Many open tables and the service was great however the menue needs to offer more choice.
We've eaten at Papaya a number of times, always with good food, a wonderful waitstaff and no complaints. The ONLY complaint we had this time was that for the special four-course Valentine's Day menu, the food came out way too quickly. First and second course ran into each other (came out quickly-- too quickly).. then, thanks to our server, Claire, slowed down when she noted too much food on the table. Also, we always enjoy the friendliness of staff-- Chris and Joe are always pleasant, fun and professional! Great time.
Once again, our service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, our food was AWESOME and everything was perfect!!!
