Papa Razzi - Wellesley Ratings and Reviews
Several couples got together for New Years Eve celebration. Open Table reservation was promptly honored, though inadvertently, some of our party were initially seated apart at a different table. Appetizers of antipasto and calamari were tasty as was my veal parm. Others enjoyed their meals too. Wine was fairly priced though pour was a tad light. Waiter was friendly & competent though not as accessible once meal was served for drink refills.
We've been dining at Paparazzi for 23 years. This was our worst experience. Could not get a second drink when our first drinks were gone. Started meal without drinks until I had to go to bar myself. The waiter came to find me at the bar while I was there.. (that round of drinks WAS included on our tab..shameful). Could not order the usual hot coffee drink (Roman Coffee) that I usually have, which was always on menu and which is currently on menu for that location on their online menu. Waiter and hosts all mystified about hot coffee drinks. Paid $12.50 for samubuca and coffee separately. A coupon presented to server for free appetizer (from previous visit) was not removed from bill. Had to remind server, redo bill, etc. I completed a survey, as I have always done with positive remarks, for Paparazzi directly (per their email request). Two days later, have not heard from anyone. Service has fallen way off... cannot recommend to anyone.
We love Papa Razzi's and were very disappointed when the Hanover Ma location closed.
My husband loves and claims it is the best bolognese he has ever had.
We are also big fans of the panznella salad.
We now travel on occasion to enjoy.
We always have had a great experience.
Service was friendly and not rushed. Chicken piccata with asparagus risotto excellent. it was a birthday so we enjoyed free piece of chocolate mousse cake. Only issue was burned bread under the lovely tomatoes on the bruschetta. Plenty of scallops on the special risotto dish.
We have always enjoyed our meal whether a date night, friends or with children.

Our meal was prepared very well. The Chefs always do a great job here as do the staff who bring out the dishes. Our family has dietary restrictions, allergies and the like and this has been one of our go to places from a casual dinner to a celebration.
Our server ignored our table completely. This included the basics - bringing out bread, water refill and taking our order until we got up to request it. She clearly made us feel unwelcome. All patrons regardless of allergies/dietary needs or diverse backgrounds should be treated with respect and the same. We have never been treated or looked upon this way before. This experience was unexpected.
Excellent, attentive service from wait staff, and several gluten free options. You cannot go wrong here. As a family with food allergies, it can be very had to eat out, but Papa Razzi Wellesley is very attentive, takes food allergies seriously, and offers delicious options. It's a treat to go there.
Awful! It's the "China Buffet" of Italian chain restaurants. This was our second try in ten years. The first time there was a mouse running around, so we left. We decided to try it again, they were late sitting us, it was noisy, loud, smelled like restroom, etc. We just left.
Have been a member and fan of PR for years. I have seen the decline and our dinner Saturday was pretty awful.
Bisteca steak was over cooked & Brussel sprouts were hard as golf balls. Veal scalloping was great but potatoes were all over cooked and burnt. Their stand by pasta w sausage is always good.
Will be a while before returning. Dinner for four was $280 (with tip) I expect a whole lot more!
Took unusually long to be acknowledged by the waitstaff, approx. 15 minutes. The Pollo Scallopini arrived with barely any sauce on it, maybe a tablespoon at best. We requested some additional sauce, which did arrived quickly. Unfortunately it was too bitter to use.
As someone with Celiac disease, it can be difficult to eat out safely, but Papa Razzi in Wellesley takes food allergies very seriously. The wait staff is educated, the gluten free menu has several options, and the food was delicious. We can go there for a meal at any time, and I know they are going to properly prepare with food allergen safety taken into account, and we'll get great service from the wait staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Got together with friends for my birthday for brunch. Food and ambiance was perfect. But all of that pales in comparison to the friendly and very attentive service provided by our server: Dustin. He is an asset to Papa Razzi and made our brunch experience beyond outstanding.
We love this restaurant and often go out on the weekends with teen daughters. When we arrived this night, our table was not ready at the reserved time, highly unusual. We stood at the hostess stand for 15 minutes (20 since we arrived early). Apparently a very large group had created a bit of a time crunch. Anyway, the GM was manning the hostess stand, and he was incredibly polite and polished. What I appreciated was the way he comp'ed our first drinks as an apology. So instead of frustration, we feel more loyalty - just to be acknowledged in that way. Well done!
