Papa Razzi Metro - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
This place has gone downhill. Here's why: At least two items on the menu weren't available. Our waitress made a substitution on one of our dishes and didn't tell us until we asked her about it. Lastly, I ordered the Chicken Scaloppini. The chicken breast was dry & hard.
I'm sorry to report that this location is closing at the end of the month. We learned this while dining here and we're very disappointed. The food, service, ambiance and (especially) the management were always outstanding. Good luck to all of the employees and managers from the Burlington location. We hope to see you in another Papa Razzi soon!
Great place for great food at fantastic value . Management was kind enough to offer us free apps since our table was not ready at the designated time.Service was prompt and friendly. The Lamb shank was wonderful and fell off the bone . We will definitely be back soon.
My brother, sister, and I attended a family wake in Wilmington and decided to grab a bite to eat at Papa Razzi in Burlington afterwards. We made a reservation for 6:15 through Open Table and arrived a couple of minutes early. Since the restaurant hadn't started to fill up yet, we were quickly seated at a nice table by the window. Our server, David, greeted us, got us drinks, announced the specials, and was attentive to us through our entire visit. The three of us were busy talking about our family, our careers, and of course, politics and were enjoying our cocktails while waiting for our dinner choices to arrive. At one point the manager approached us to apologize that our dinners were delayed, explained that there had been a problem and that the meals would be served shortly. In his apology he told us that we would not have to pay for the meals due to this mistake. We were taken aback, while completely appreciative, by this proactive service. While we were lost in our conversations, we really hadn't noticed the delay. We thanked David, our server, and the manager for taking such good care of us. We are frequent visitors to this restaurant and will continue to go there and share our experience with others. Kudos to the Papa Razzi staff. Nice work.
PS. I sent this same message to Papa Razzi the day following our recent visit.
A quiet midweek evening.Enjoyed the back covered deck. Enjoyed garlic bread and the mussels. Pasta with clams had too much oil. Not the best. Even though not busy, service was very slow. Friendly but slow. It was a two hour dinner. Can't imagine what it would be like when busy. Won't be going back for a bit.
Too start asked to be seated outside but wasn't. There was no mention from hostess ,then saw others seated outside after we were seated. Our server was terrible - no one came to table for almost 10 minutes. Server was off taking pics with other tables and we didn't get food till we were thre 1 hour. Been here many times never like this almost left, as after drink order server went missing then too.
I was a bit disappointed with the orichiette dish as I don't believe the menu indicated a pesto sauce. Little heavy on the pesto but otherwise pretty good. My date loved his chicken piccata and had one of the best martinis he'd ever had. The dessert of tiramisu was lovely. Service was very friendly.
Amazing Italian food. The antipasto and small plates are delicious. We got a bunch to share and then shared a few pasta dishes. The fried olives were tasty, the Brussels sprouts salad was different abs delicious. The cauliflower was gorgeous and succulent. Such a great place, we must come again! I hear their pizza is top rated so next time we try that :)
What a wonderful restaurant! Fine dining at a reasonable price with amazing service. The manager was very attentive to us too. He wanted to know all about our opinion of the restaurant, the service, and meal. He gave us a complimentary taste of the figcello, since we had ordered a lemoncello martini previously. This was a truly amazing restaurant experience for us. We will go back often! The server couldn't be more attentive too. She had a great personality. Definitely a great field for her to be in. Try this place out. You won't be sorry
Dinner was great as always but the service was not. our waitress was nice and pleasant and engaging when she came to us but just did not pay us enough attention. Waited a bit for drinks, then we had to ask for bread about 45 minutes into our time. We were in no rush but just really didnt' check in at all...our dinner order was taken 1 hour and 20 minutes after we sat. We did have a couple appetizers so as I said, no rush but at least check in, check our drinks, water etc. We never even saw her check over to us. Cooincidentally, my sister and her friends were sitting in the same area and actually made a comment to us on their bad service before we even said anything. Not a bad waitress just needs to be taught how to stay in touch with her customers.
I do not think people want to be jammed into a setting for dinner, everyone that passed by had to either bang into the chair or squeeze against it, so annoying and the noise level was terrible. I could not hear the person across from me. Sorry this is not for me, I cannot believe they can jam so many people in not a comfortable situation and not a relaxed dining experience.
Management and wait staff very nice and generous. Would highly recommend them. The hostesses need work/training.
This is the second time I've been to this location in 4 weeks, the host staff needs to approve and pay attention to what is going on.
First time made a res with open table and they had us stand there for 10 minutes and took other people walking in off the street before seating us... When asked why we hadn't been seated... The young girl just sat there like a deer in headlights not knowing what to say until a manager came over, apologized and sat us.
This second time I made a reservation on opentable then called to change the qty of people... At the restaurant the two hostesses did not know what to do since we had an extra person to seat with us... Walked us to the table then left and couldn't be found. I decided to take a seat and place setting from another table and make it work ourselves.
Not the end of the world but come on... Another table even commented on the cluster and the poor hostess service.
Other than that A+
