Papa Razzi-Concord Ratings and Reviews
Our server Jennifer is just fantastic! This is the second time we've had her, and will definitely be requesting her every time we eat at Pap Razzi from here on out. I tried the Tortelloni de zucca from the fall special menu and it was delicious, as was the butternut, apple & leek soup. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's one of the few I return to again and again.
I love the food and drink at Papa Razzi. Great preparations of classic Italian dishes and great specials. The Concord location is nice and rustic compared to Framingham that is more chic with metal and glass. We go there often...maybe every 2 months. I wish the prices were a few dollars lower. We'd go more often. Bene points program is very generous. Don't miss it.
Superb dinner, as usual. Our party ordered Panzanella Salad and grilled skewered shrimp as appetizers, and Lobster Tortelloni, Pan Seared Scallops, and broiled Swordfish as entrees. Enjoyed two bottless of Pinot Grigio, and splurged on a single Tiramisu split 3 ways for dessert.
Our server, Veneta, was awesome, very knowledgable about Monday's menu, and excellent in every way.
Thank you, Chef Victor and team, for another wonderful dinner!
Had the pumpkin tortellini and it was excellent. Another diner had the steak and it was delicious. We had to go very early because we were travelling with a child and no reservation was available until 7:45 pm. The server was great. We made a reservation for 7 for the next night for a birthday dinner and it didn't disappoint.
We'd all been there before. The food is not excellent, but it's better than average. I didn't find myself full after half a salad and my special of the night risotto. The server described all three specials of the evening--but NOT the prices, which should be done--as specials are often more expensive. I didn't want to seem cheap (even though I'd told everyone I was taking everyone out to dinner)--but the price of verbal specials should ALWAYS be given!! The dipping olive oil isn't that great--in taste or quality--and other local chain restaurants do a better version. The chicken picatta was quite good. Apple crisp dessert--mediocre.
Dined on Saturday evening with a friend. My friend had a pasta dish which she said was as good as Boston's North End (she's Italian and a good cook.) I had the twin filet mignon with roasted vegetables and a balsamic reduction. My only criticism of this was there were only roasted potatoes and very few chopped veggies almost diced. The balsamic reduction I didn't enjoy. It just didn't seem to pair well with the steak. I expected to see a variety of roasted vegetables in
bite-sized pieces. Not! Wouldn't order this again. Other than the steak, we had a very satisfying meal. Our server, Jennifer, was excellent. Would return again.
We love the gluten-free fried mozzarella! My gluten free raviolis were still cold in the center though. I know they are very fragile and easily overcooked so it was not surprising to find them undercooked but I enjoyed them regardless. The rest of our gluten free meals were great - pizza and veal parm. Thank you for having such a variety of choices for us celiacs!
we often eat there and this is a great place. The food is good, staff are kind and this is not expensive. You can park easily and you can talk without yelling.
Cons : This is full on Friday evening and even if you book a table online, you could wait 30 minutes to have a table available. If you book, you shouldn't wait and they should work on that.
We love Mangia Monday and our server Venetta! Jonathan's choice again, grilled Salmon. For me, Pollo Piccatta, so light and lemony with a side of Asparagus Risotto. We started with our favorite salad to share: Panzanella. Love the bite of the dressing and the tangy goat cheese. We were seated at one of the smaller tables near the bar -- it was cozy and quiet, plus we had a great view of the kitchen and watched the staff in action. Bravi tutti!
We are returning patrons from New Hampshire. We very enjoy the authentic meals very much. On this occasion the pasta in the lobster ravioli was slightly under cooked but it's very rare we ever have a complaint. Service was excellent and will be returning for another meal.
Week after week, we go back to Papa Razzi in Concord for their Mangia Monday specials. The service is impeccable and the food delicious! This week my husband chose grilled salmon, and I had the lobster tortelloni.
What can I say -- we loved every bite, and for good reason.
Karen, our server this week, was outstanding and had a great sense of humor. Thank you!
We've had many good dinners at Papa Raiz, so we were surprised by the generally poor quality of the food. My Chicken Caesar salad, normally excellent, was missing croutons, the chicken, normally warm, was cold and stringy, and the dressing was flavorless. Foccacia, breadsticks, and Desserts were very good.
