My food was excellent!!
The food and waitstaff was fantastic but the hostess was incredibly rude and unapologetic for our 20 min wait past our reservation time. Seemed very overbooked. What’s the point of making a reservation?
This was my first time out to dinner with my girlfriend. I was prepared to spend some money. Was actually surprised at how inexpensive the food was. Had a blast! Food was good!
I took my grandson out to dinner. Looking around I saw all different types of people. It is a really pretty place. We had a very nice time.
Little loud but was great date night. Food was delicious and wine options were as well
Wonderful dinner, great service, great location, good for large parties.
Veal Milanese, excellent, as always, and the panzanella was fantastic. Thank you Michael!
Cavatappi!! Excellent service by Michael.
The best veal parm. They should bring back their bread sticks!
Great gluten-free Italian options! I can’t remember the last time I had GF ravioli, let alone ones so fresh and tasty.
Decent too expensive for the quality of food. Waitress was pushy to buy more drinks
As it was busy felt rushed to choose food and eat it. Poor couple next to us got their bill before finishing desert even though they hadn’t asked for it. My meal and the children’s was good but my wife’s was a bit watery, again I think this was due to the fact they were busy and rushed.
A delicious pre-theater dinner! We've been here before and will return. The only thing lacking was some kind of handicapped access to the second floor - my wife is using a cane and it was slow going up the stairs. But once we got there we were fine!
One of my favorite restaurants. I was sad when the one near me closed (in Rhode Island) but this location was even better than i can remember mine being. The food was delicious, the dessert was incredible, and it was just a great night all around.
Excellent food, quiet, great service, superb ambience
Got seated promptly. Food was outstanding.
We had a great first experience at Papa Razzi. Very friendly and attentive staff.
We had dinner at Papa Razzi for Valentine's day. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, the food was great, and so was the service. There was a mix up where the waiter gave me a $26 glass of wine when I'd tried to order a $9 one, but they just charged me for the one I thought I'd ordered, no questions asked. I would definitely go back!
Food and service were very good overall. Our server was very nice and friendly, although we had to ask for napkins and bread, instead of it being automatic. In any event, cramming a middle-aged couple out on a date-night in a corner seat, shared with a large group of 8 with young children was a bad idea. Noisy and not the romantic date night experience we were looking for. Every time one of the kids got up to use the bathroom they had to slide out on our side of the long cushion seat that we shared with the group. It was very Applebee's-ish. The poor seating choice took away from the experience.
It was a cold night but so warm inside. Our food was delicious and our waitress attentive. Great evening.
Excellent food! The service was great. The restaurant is beautiful. A very good experience.
We always enjoy the Back Bay location. Samantha, our waiter, was outstanding and made for a wonderful mid-week dining out experience. The food here is consistently very good and reasonably priced. We will be back.
We celebrated our nephew’s 65th birthday at Papa Razzi on Newbury Street, and had a wonderful time. The menu is varied, and we all relished our choices. Luckily for us the restaurant was not very crowded when we were there, which made conversation easy to hear. I am going to try the other locations and am eager to see how they compare.
Great spot, always reliable for good Italian. Great atmosphere.
This place constantly delivers outstanding food and service.
Everything was amazing! Best Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten and the salted caramel gelato is to die for! Katie is a great server as well. We had a great time and will be back soon! :)
Food and ambiance were great. Server didn't know the menu well and couldn't help us with many of the questions we had. Kinda hard to pitch me on food from the menu when you can't butcher the pronunciation of it.
We came for a special occasion and I left simple, yet clear instructions when I booked my reservation. I talked with the manager about it after and they "just missed it". Didn't apologize or offer to make it right, which was a bummer.
Great food, meh experience.
We waited 15 minutes before our server knew we were there. It was an understandable mistake but she was very casual and did not apologize. We were trying to make a concert and had to be a bit pushy to get her keep us on time even though there were very few other customers. On the other hand, the chef was extremely accommodating of food sensitivities and the food was excellent. I will definitely try it again despite the initial service.
I will be emailing the general manager Julian the pictures I took with my camera (:
Thank you for a great dinner & all around great experience! Looking forward to coming to Boston and eating here again !
Nice place for a semi casual dinner. I have never been disappointed.
The waitress did not get our special request right, but since it was a special request, I don't hold that against her. However, she asked if everything was perfect before we realized that, then she didn't come back so she was a little over eager for her own review.
Fantastic Gluten Free menu and knowledge... highly recommended
We went on New Years Eve and not only was the food absolutely amazing, the drinks were outstanding as well. The service was quick and extremely helpful. Despite our level of inebriation I can assuredly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was reasonably priced for level of food we received! Everything was just delightful.
great service and meal was fantastic.
This restaurant was delicious with scratch made food and amazing staff. I would highly recommend.
Great food! Incredibly quick service and friendly staff. Everything I need in a restaurant. Thanks!
The occasion for dinner was my birthday celebration. We made the reservation for 7:30. We arrived on time and were seated. Drinks and dinner were fine. When we were ready to order dessert(remember, birthday celebration), our waiter informed us that the kitchen was closed and we would not be able to order an desserts.
So I ask, why weren’t we told this about early closing of the kitchen when we were seated? It seemed other tables were still getting their desserts because I guess, they had preordered their desserts.
This restaurant is off my future list.
We always enjoy coming to Papa Razzi for their Manga Mondays. All of their entrees are $16 and appetizers are $7 or so. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very professional!
Amazing. Great service. Nice and fresh, scratch kitchen plus they had a ton of gluten free options including fried mozzarella AND chicken parm! Which came out fantastic and i havent eaten in years due to allergy. They were great.
Pappa Razzi on Newbury Street consistently provides a wonderful experience. Very welcoming, great service and the food is always excellent. As suburbanites, we come into town - to the Back Bay - four or five times a year and consider other options, just for a change. In the end, though, we return to Pappa Razzi because we know we will have a relaxed, delicious meal in a warm and friendly environment. We have also found that Pappa Razzi is a great spot for a large group - the servers are well able to cheerfully attend to a celebration, and even make it more fun!
