   We made a reservation for six of us for Mother’s Day dinner. There were not very many other restaurants open and let alone on a holiday. I have been at Papa Joe’s and it’s always a great time. The holiday menu was very good, and everyone said their dishes were great. I ordered the crab topped cod, which was excellent.

   Prime Rib was outstanding, and the service was absolutely special. Stacey was our server, and you can't ask for anyone better. Sad news is that she's retiring in two weeks after 53 years of service. She hasn't missed a day in all those years.

   Where to start: when we arrived for our 2:30pm reservation which was booked almost a month ago I introduced myself to the young lady working the hostess desk (tall blonde girl), she looked at me like I was inconveniencing her and then acted as if there was no reservation but never communicated anything me as I stood there then another woman who I believe is one of the owners said oh there are tables in the far back just take them back there so she proceeds to head that way without even saying a word to us to follow her this way, so we follow after the girl who then drops the menus on the floor and walks away without even a enjoy your dinner, Happy mother's Day not a peep just rude! So here we are sitting in what I would believe is the over flow room even though as I stated previously that I booked my reservation a month ago and we walked past five empty tables that could have sat the five us in my party but non the less we are in this back room with a couple other large parties and they were extremely loud so we couldn't even remotely enjoy any conversation at out our table. Now we come to order g and there is special Mother's Day menu which I understand due to the business but when we ordered our meals my wife on Mother's Day asked for her pasta to be done with olive oil and garlic the server was so rude stating there is no substitutions which again I understand but olive oil and garlic which is a staple of this restaurant and has been since I have been going her for over thirty years and is a simple as can be to make so this would not have been difficult for any caliber of a culinary professional and let's not forget that we ordered green appetizers that came out ice cold. Bottom line is that we have been loyal and repeat customers for many many years and the decline of this restaurant is apparent every time we go so it will be very difficult to continue patronizing this establishment.

   The perfect Mother’s Day lunch. I do wish it was a brunch instead of lunch but it was definitely delicious!

   This place used to be amazing - the service has gone down hill sooooooo much. Waited an hour before our waitress even spoke to us. We had to put our full order in before we were even asked what we wanted to drink and then had to practically beg for a refill.

   Papa Joe's continues to be a shining star. Wonderful food and excellent service from the time we stepped in the door. It's refreshing to know that the staff takes a personal interest in delivering high quality food and service to each guest.

    Papa Joe’s has the best Italian food in the Akron area. All the menu items are phenomenal, staff is extremely friendly. Have been dining here since 2004 and, with my business travels to Akron, will continue to visit. You will not be disappointed!
