About Paolo's Italian Restaurant
For more than 20 years, Paolo’s has been bringing the taste of Italy to Kent. Paul Raftis founded the restaurant after growing up learning to cook along side his mother, Darlene Raftis. He enjoys the open kitchen he can chat with guests as he works. He never tires of hearing "It smells so good in here!" As a marathoner, he is living proof that that you can eat Italian and be healthy. In fact, one of his signature dishes, "Fettucine Paolo" was featured in Runner's World magazine. "It's one of the dishes I developed, it has no cream in it, no butter." It's a delicious pasta dish that utilizes olive oil, garlic, chicken stock, garlic, balsamic vinegar, sundried tomatoes, artichokes, and chicken. So whether it's bruschetta, cioppino, pizza, or spaghetti and meatballs, Paul thanks each of you for choosing to dine here.

Paolo's Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food overall was excellent.
The server was attentive and very good in taking our order and serving it to us at one time while the food was hot.
It was end of shift for the server and the only complaint we had was that we were not asked if anyone would like a desert.
The guys ordered the lasagna, and they loved it. I had the combo seafood pasta. Three scallops, (gritty) and the crab and salmon were just little shreds. Could really taste it. Overall, great place with awesome customer service. I’ll try something else on the menu next time.
Perfectly acceptable. We brought our own wine which made it a good value. They had a well thought out gluten free menu. Nice. The chicken Gorgonzola was tasty but the chicken was dry and rubbery ( for the second time.) The after 8 pm four courses for $21.00 is a very good value. We will return and try different dishes. A fine dining kind of place but a much better price. Go at 8 pm. And bring your own wine.
Clean and friendly. Had a very nice fun and knowledgable waitress who made the visit. I had the cioppino, which was a bit expensive but ultimately exactly right for a rainy November afternoon. My dining partner had a lovely butternut squash soup and a caesar. Once again...just right.
The service was slow and the assistants to our server seemed to be untrained and or confused. Our service was attentive at first, but later not so much. We, at one point waited, with empty cups, for coffee refills for approximately 20 minutes. My wife and I were very disappointed, as were my son and his wife..... We had different combinations of the four entree special. We were all O.K. with the meals, but the food did not meet their typical high standard and the service was sub-standard!
We went to Paolo's because of the fall menu. I look forward to the seasonal corn chowder soup, and pumpkin ravioli each year. It says fall to me. My meal did not disappoint me. My husband had a new special of the week. It was meatloaf. This was not your mothers meatloaf. It was amazing. He hopes they make this a menu item, or special more often.
We left before ordering. Seriously understaffed. Menu not appealing. They had a special menu in the lobby area featuring Osso Bucco and other amazing sounding dishes, but were not offering this menu on the night we arrived. Their standard menu does not include many original dishes without pasta or pizza. I am gf and don't like gf pasta or bread. I just want delicious meat dishes other than the typical Marsala and parmigiana.
