First time dining at Pao. Our server Jad was very knowledgeable in both food and drink aspects, he guided us through the menu very well. Food was outstanding. As a fellow Filipino myself it’s great to see our cuisine be elevated in such level. Highly recommend it and will definitely come back again.

Birthday and anniversary
Loved everything about this restaurant! It's in the funkiest hotel on Miami Beach, the atmosphere is beautiful, the service outstanding and every single item of food was exceptional. Loved the lumpia, the pork belly, fried chicken, and the whole roasted fish was simply delicious - that sauce!
Fabulous! Wonderful Judd was our Waiter! All the dishes were unique...our fav was Mushrooms Bistek! Sake was beautiful & wines lovely!

It’s pricey for amount of food you get, but it’s delicious. The service is very slow, but I think they try to make it an experience for the diner.
Chris was our server and was outstanding at guiding us through the menu and making recommendations. The food was delicious, especially the fried chicken. We will definitely go back if/when we are back in town.
That was our second time dining at Pao and we couldn’t be happier with the place - a true gem in the Miami restaurant scene. The food is phenomenal, but the service is even better, which is quite rare in Miami, especially in South Beach. Chris took such good care of us and even organized a little after dinner treat for us, since it was our anniversary. So thank you again 😃 We‘ll be back!

We were late because of traffic and the hostess could not have been nicer. This is one of the best restaurants in Miami. The ambience, food, service & drinks are all incredible. The short rib is a must & we enjoyed some of the newer additions to the menu as well!
Hamachi was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve been to a lot of high end restaurants) our server was great also and his recs were spot on!
Delicious and exciting food in a stylish and energetic setting with top class service all whilst not being intimidating at all. Would recommend Pao at The Faena to anyone looking for a special occasion. You won't be disappointed.
Had the Anniversary Dinner . Everything was good . The portions were kinda small for the price so I recommend ordering a lot of plates we had 4 small and one large . Definitely worth going , we will be back .
Service is outstanding
Food is good; not amazing. The roasted fish entree is disappointing as it is over salted on the skin. I do not understand the hype.

The food was terrific, but the service and overall experience was very disappointing for a restaurant with such high pretensions. The waiter fundamentally blew the order of the serving of the dishes in a way that defied logic and destroyed the natural order of the meal. He, Bismarck, talked endlessly but failed to listen to the most important part of the order, the order of serving dishes. He, the assistant manager, and the manager all failed to understand the gravity of the mistake, offering measly tokens in return for poor service. They seem accustomed to serving trust fund babies, nouveau riches, and tourists without discerning tastes and demand for proper service. And the manager seemed more sympathetic to their insults about my legitimate complaints than the actual poor service my wife and I received. One of them suggested that if I have complaints, then I cannot afford to eat there. Seriously?? I never raised my voice in this dialogue, and insults from next table sharpened while the manager did nothing to admonish them for their rudeness to me but proceeded to threaten bringing security on me if I did not pay my bill, which I did and walked out. So bottom line, there is real attitude problem amongst serving staff and management coupled with attitudinal regular customers who believe their wealth affords them free passes to rude behavior. Not going back there! And can’t we rescind this imposed 18% service charge in Florida restaurants?

Chris was amazing and really took the time to explain the menu and the Chef’s background. Chris also have great recommendations and was very professional and warm throughout. Excellent service and also got to meet the Manager Leticia who was super nice! Food was superb cannot wait to go back! Fave were the kinilaw, short ribs and fish entree
