A big disappointment after having great expierneces in Pao previously. Service is outstanding, however the food quality was un acceptable.
Amazing! Very attentive, food came out appropriately quickly, and complimentary dessert to celebrate. Loved it! Favourite restaurant in Miami.
Excellent ambiance coupled with terrific service and exquisitely prepared food. Menu selection is limited but what's on the menu is all great.
It was wonderful as always! Delicious food and incredible service! It is one of our favorites in Miami!
Excellent. Highly recommend. Impeccable service, waiters calling you by your name at all times and were very friendly (unlike how they treat you at the jazz lounge). Fried chicken was delicious as well as the rice with pork belly and the dessert with the pear ice cream was nothing like I have ever had before.
Service (Jed) was outstanding. And that’s after 3 weeks dining in all the best places in Miami. Jed hosted us, made the experience of dining here romantic with his story telling and guidance through out the meal. There was an explosion of flavor in every dish. Loved the short rib, unicorn, and hamachi especially.
Coursing was perfect, and he closed the meal by taking us down to the Mammoth exhibition in the back of the hotel. Truly extraordinary and we can’t wait to return.
We were really looking forward to Pao. We went for my birthday dinner - wanting to explore someplace new. It was very disappointing - two dishes were good - the bamboo rice and fried chicken. The other dishes - king crab appetizer and curried vegetables were disappointing. The cookies at the END OF THE MEAL were fabulous. There are too many other great restaurants in Miami to go back to this one
Still had to wait even after having a reservation and dishes are overpriced
Loved it!!! Food was excellent
My experience with Asian food has been pretty scant due to the fact that it tends to emphasize seafood and shellfish. I had checked out the Paos' Miami Spice menu, saw a few items I liked, and decided to check it out this past weekend. The fact that when I checked in at the hostess stand, they inquired as to any food allergies so they could be careful with my plates made them a winner. They were able to customize a delicious dinner for me without inconveniencing others. Service overall was top notch; the waiter or busser describes all of the plates and ingredients and checked regularly on me.
Their Miami Spice menu, price (very) fairly proportionate portions for their regular menu, started with the fried chicken was the essence of spice with their sweet chili, jalapeno and banana ketchup. That last seasoning intrigued me at first; my waitress informed me that it's made from mashed banana, sugar, vinegar, and jalapeno. Next up was the sisig (basically Filipino style fried rice.) These fond culinary memories of my San Fran trip was a not-overly-greasy garlic rice, Chili for moar spice, black vinegar, pork belly and a fried egg.
In addition to the complementary green matcha cookie, my sweet closing was their Buttermilk panna cotta with (real) Green Apple -Cru, Fennel Seed Crumble, and a pear apple sorbet. I nursed my meal with (more than one) of their Horned God drink, a deliciously potent rum punch with Bacardi 8, Hamilton 151, Maraschino liqueur and a burning lime.
Enjoy the art in the lobby outside, or take a stroll by the beach behind the hotel to check out the golden woolly mammoth sculpture!
Food was amazing and service was excellent!
We really enjoyed dining at Pao. It was a culinary adventure with many interesting and new flavors. Every plate was amazing! The cocktails were really delicious as well.
Thank you, had a great birthday! Thank you, had a great birthday!
Went here for Miami Spice and loved it! Will def be back!!
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the drinks were great (get the Faena Spritz). The food was underwhelming though. Didn't like most of the dishes from their Spice Menu. The fried chicken and crudo were really good, other than that, the rest of the dishes were sort of blah. Expected more, to be honest.
Great, attentive service and tasty meal. Good options on Miami Spice menu, albeit smaller sized.
We were so excited about sea urchin/unicorn dish - no sea urchins just creamy corn ...very disappointed 😞
Presentation on every dish was excellent
Dessert was Delicious 😋
Adobo fried rice was very tasty...everyone of us like it
Cocktails drinks🍷 🍹🍸 Were extremely expensive and not that great taste👎🏻
Vermentino GREAT wine👏🏻
My friend and I had dinner and the atmosphere was amazing along with the interior design. We had the Myth cocktail which was great and the Miami Spice Menu, with the vegtables dish.
Everything was tasty and the dessert was amazing. Our server Chris was friendly as everyone in the staff. After the dinner I would recommend the living room for some live music.
Great restaurant, amazing ambience, great service, we will definitely visit again!!!!!
Everything was absolutely amazing. The service, food, chef, ambiance was exceptional...and I don’t even use the word exceptional often.
Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view.
First time here and it was great. Service was spot on and friendly. The menu is limited so check it out before you go, but the food is excellent. I will be returning.
Loved the place. Miami Spice Menu a little small portions
The Myth drink is delicious, the cup/container too heavy but beautiful
The place is very loud, I could not hear my partner
We ordered from the Miami Spice menu and had one of the best meals of our life! The incredibly creative food, the impecable service, and romantic atmosphere made this a date night to remember. The food highlights were probably the sea urchin and the wagyu beef dishes. Our knowledgeable, passionate server Javaris and the rest of the staff made this a meal to remember!!
Great drinks and amazing dinner
One of the best restaurants around . All was on point from the decor to the service not to mention the extraordinary food ! Totally would recommend for an outstanding meal with impeccable service.
One of the best restaurants in Miami! Had an amazing evening full of delicious food in a gorgeous setting. Definitely recommend
Outstanding food. Great ambience, professional pleasant staff.
We enjoyed a mid-week dinner prior to a show at the Faena Theater - very pleasant evening. The classic Rusty Nail cocktail was well prepared, and the Hamachi appetizer - although gourmet-sized - was quite tasty with fresh green peas and shoots. We opted for the "whole duck", which was not presented whole and appeared to be comprised of two duck legs confit and a separately prepared sliced duck breast, appropriately rare, accompanied by a tangy duck sauce. Regardless of the possible menu discrepancy it was delicious. Overall it was a very fine meal in an attractive venue with attentive service, expensive consistent with expectations for Miami Beach hotel dining.
Bad service !!! The waiter could never have done NOISE to call our attention and made us stop talking .??? I NEVER saw that in my life
Great food & service at Faena. Miami Spice Menu was excellent
Nice place, good food, excelent service, very noisy
A group of six friends met here for dinner. The urchin had a great presentation but tasted pretty much like corn chowder. The portion sizes were very small. The three men in the group left very hungry. The ambiance was great, but the service was lacking. The waitress was very condescending and took forever. The hostess sat multiple parties before us even though we were all present and then sat us in one of the worst seats in the restaurants. We enjoyed the live music in the lounge after dinner but it was impossible to get a drink at the bar which were typical way overpriced south beach drinks.
Fried chicken with Banana chicken is excellent. Short Ribs are outstanding. Duck fried rice is great. Cheesecake is good, but nothing special. Other dessert I had was delicious. Beautiful place, beautiful people. More action the later you go. Super service and everyone is warm and welcoming; no attitude. The food is truly special
outstanding quality and service.
not the greatest portion sizes - but would still recommend to a friend.
The service was amazing!
The food was an experience.
We will be back probably next week to try the rest of the menu.
Great food but portions way too small even for Miami Beach standards. Not a great value
Beautiful place. Exquisite food and courteous service. Sea Urchin corn chowder is a must. Spicy fried chicken is out of this world. And of course THE MYTH (a very attractive cocktail served in an unicorn shaped jar) is to dream about.
