Panzano Ratings and Reviews
Way overpriced for the quality of food. Cold soup, under Al Denté noodles. It was like our food sat for 29 minutes before they served us. Our server was very friendly and his wine recommendations were definitely his strong suit. Our table service, on the other hand was terrible. Empty plates and used flatware were often left on our table despite multiple passes by busser and waiter. A+ for the friendliness D/C minus for almost everything else. For the money I could go to Guard and Grace and eat better.
Excellent... as always. Sea scallops were very tasty and satisfying. Great caeser salad and gnocchi with lamb, while it would have benefited from more meat in the dish was well prepared. All the desserts are well a go let by a great butterscotch creamy pudding.
Dined at Panzano's before the theater (and for Valentine's Day) and was so impressed with our waiter, Jose. One of his first questions was to ask if we had any time limit for our meal. He made sure our meal was timed perfectly (appetizer, main & dessert), so we had plenty of time to make our show. We felt very well taken care of by Jose. The food is beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed the brussel sprout appetizer, Bolognese di Manzo (tortellini), veal marsala, and crème brulee...an over the top excellent rating for all of these choices! Thanks for making our evening so memorable and enjoyable.
I wanted to like this restaurant more than I did. It was good, but not amazing. I’m fortunate to have frequented a number of high end restaurants both in Denver and elsewhere, and Panzano didn’t quite hold up the way I wanted it to. Service was mediocre and the ambiance was a little depressing. The food was very good, but again, not amazing.
The wait staff was very snobby and took forever. The water girl was the only helpful person.
You had no gluten free pasta at 6 o’clock on VALENTINES DAY!
We had limited options after and I paid 60 bucks for undercooked chicken which I never finished.
I would much rather go somewhere else and pay half the price for twice the better food.
Fantastic as always. We both had scallops and our starter salads were delicious. My friend had the beat salad and could not stop raving about it. As an extra treat our server let us have a few truffles for Valentines day even though we didnt order the power lunch.
The two vegetarian entrees we had were EXCEPTIONAL. Solid service and a very nice atmosphere rounded the meal. I'm not a fan of the "electronic drink menu." Maybe I'm just old fashioned but "scrolling" through a list that includes $100+ bottles seems a tad cheezy. Small quibble about an otherwise top-notch experience.
Loved this place! The service was great and so was the food! Our server, Jim, was incredibly helpful with being mindful of my gluten allergy. He started off by asking if there were any food allergies and then brought out a GF menu and told me about the GF pasta options too. He brought out warm gluten free bread for me, and as soon as he brought the dessert menu, he explained which items were GF or could be made GF and what items would be left off. I really appreciated his attention to the allergy the whole evening. I felt very comfortable and taken care of! Aside from allergies, the food itself was delicious. We enjoyed everything we got and would definitely go back! The service was fantastic!
Business dinner with clients. Asked ahead of time if we could have a round table and they were able to give us “roundish” as they said - great effort to satisfy my request. The table was in front of some kind of service/kitchen area which actually made it a quieter space for some reason. The waiter, Jim was very personable and just attentive enough. Very good bread only I hate when restaurants don’t serve bread warm. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Had the special lamb pasta that was very good and just the right amount (not too much). The highlight for me was dessert. Pistachio olive oil cake with balsamic strawberries and some kind of basil sorbet. One of best dishes I have had. Just the right amount of sweet and savory. I am going to crave it for a very long time.
We had the brussell sprouts and a ceasar salad with salmon and chicken. The meal was delicious and we will definitely be back. Unfortunately, we are dieting but when we are able we will be back to try the dessert and other menu items. The only negative is the difficulty parking downtown but would happily deal with the parking again to eat those brussell sprouts.
Enjoyed the lamb & gnocchi - so tasteful and delicious. My husband had the ground veal and ground tenderloin plus added the side if meatballs. His dish was a red sauce base. It was rich and so good too!! The wine the waiter suggested was spot-on. Very tasty and unique bread topping. Decided against a dessert as we were just too full.
My wife and I frequented Panzano's when it first opened many years ago. We moved away but have returned. The restaurant is still great. The service we got in the bar area was top notch, genuine, and made our night more enjoyable. Cannot remember her name, but she was really good; reccomended drinks, apps, and main courses - all were spot on and helped us just relax and enjoy our "date" (been married over 30 years, so.... date can be a relative term), We will be back !
The carpaccio, grilled Romaine, Bolonese and butterscotch pudding were outstanding. For a date night, the noise in the restaurant was over the top. My dilemma is can I enjoy the great food in a extremely noisy environment on a romantic date night. Unfortunately, for me, I cannot reconcile the two.
Lovely experience. I felt the ambience was exceptional. Had a modern/rustic feel to it. The food was excellent. I had the special and the steak was perfect. I loved how they did the potatoes, texture was crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. The hotel Monaco is attached. Lovely area downtown.
The Panzano staff do a wonderful job of making sure you are having the best experience. The person that helped us pick the wine was so helpful. I have been there for a sit down dinner and a happy hour. Both are excellent. This place is great if you are seeing a show downtown or just want a good happy hour with friends.
We were seated quickly in a booth that was comfortable and not loud. I ordered a mojito (it was just okay...the rum wasn’t very good) and my husband ordered a beer. The brussel sprouts appetizer was fantastic! We then ordered the grilled Caesar alla Griglia which was also very yummy but there was too much dressing (should have ordered on the side). My husband ordered the rabbit pasta dish (Coniglio alla Cacciatora-he loved it) and I ordered the lamb ravioli (Doppio Ravioli de Vetri). My dish was also yummy but the pasta was a bit underdone and was chewy. I talked to the waiter and he brought a different dish, which he said was his favorite that had meatballs and cheese filled ravioli, which was delicious. Overall, this is a super yummy restaurant and I’d love to come back!
My wife and I were at Panzano's on a Friday night around 5:30. The bar (happy hour) was jammed and very loud, which was only a distant background to our restaurant seats. The waiter was great -- described different dishes, asked if we were going to a show (we were) were on a time table (we weren't). For an appetizer we ordered a cheese plate that was spectacular, bread with an olive tapenade, entrees -- everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.
