Panzano Ratings and Reviews
We came here last year during a conference, and it was the first place we wanted to go back to because it was so good (food and service were spectacular). This time around was a HUGE disappointment. We had the same server, but he either quit caring or was having a really bad day. The food was mediocre for the price; lamb chops were overdone, appetizers were average, and service was downright non-existent. If I lived here I'd probably give them another chance, but we won't be back.
We ordered the porterhouse for 2 which was excellent and served with three delicious sides. Loved the ambiance at Panzanos as it was warm, comfortable and inviting. Our server was attentive. My only complaint: giving us salad plates rather than dinner plates for the huge entree. Just didn’t make sense! However, we will definitely return.
Good food and service but wish they would turn down the lights and slow down their pace a bit. When food is good and a bit expensive you want to take your time eating and enjoying and not being interrupted by the water server. Although the water guy was a sweetheart and I appreciated the clean up in between courses. Would return though!
The food at Panzano is awesome - while the steaks were good, we'd highly recommend going for the pasta dishes! The Bolognese di Manzo was really good and the mussels had great flavor. Our server wasn't good (she took 30 minutes to get drinks to the table and 45 minutes to get the mussels to the table with an excuse that mussels take a long time - we make them often at home and they don't take long; and she never cleared empty plates or cups) but the gentleman busing our table and food running staff were polite.
We arrived 45 minutes before our res and Dan Allen, the assist. manager made accommodations to seat us early. The service was terrific. Our server Jose was outstanding! Very friendly and timing with our meal was perfect. Had only been here for Happy Hour (which is also great), but would highly recommend dinner as well. I had the chicken and my husband had the tortellini, brussels sprouts app-all were delicious!
Over the Top Good. The was the best restaurant I'd been to in a decade. They were kind enough to hold a table for us when we called just a few minutes beforehand to tell them we were stuck in traffic. After we arrived, everyone we interacted with were professional, knowledgeable and very kind. The staff at Panzano had learned through OpenTable this was an anniversary dinner and they treated us each to a complimentary glass of champagne and gave my wife a card and a complimentary dessert on her next visit. The food was out of this world good. Italian is my wife's favorite, but this beat all expectations. Every dish, every drink was simply fantastic. They deserve all five stars.
I had a wonderful experience here. The wine list is extensive to say the least and featured plenty of options to satisfy any varietal you may be looking for. I had the Bolognese and my date ordered the house made potato gnocci. Both were fantastic and the service was perfect
It is hard to find a restaurant that is open on New Years Day. It's even harder to find one that serves high quality food! My girlfriend and I are visiting from Oregon and found this place. Great food and drinks. The starters and pasta were amazing, we were less in love with our main courses but they were still awesome! Great food would recommend.
Housemade items make great Italian food. It's what sets an italian place apart from the countless others. Panzano delivers in every category. You'll notice in every delicious bite that everything from the sauce, to the pasta and bread are made in house. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Our server was also exceptional. Like any great server, he balanced being polite, fun, and professional.
It's no wonder Panzano is one of the highest rated Italian restaurants in Denver.
Panzano was an acceptable if not remarkable Italian restaurant. The ambiance is quite plain if you're not seated near the open kitchen. Our calamari appetizer was reminiscent of something from Olive Garden, fried with little extra flavor. Our entrees, stuffed ravioli and sauteed chicken were good and worth the price ($28) each. The gelatto/ sorbet dessert was quite good as well with the passion fruit sorbet one of the most flavorful dishes I have had. Overall, Panzano is decent but nothing to really rave over.
I have driven by this place for 4 years and always wanted to try it and I am glad I finally did on my birthday! The atmosphere was lovely and romantic and they seated us right by the window- great for people watching on the street. They knew it was my birthday and they treated my guest and I to a half glass of sparkling wine on the house. We had plans somewhere else for dessert so they gave me a gift card for a free dessert next time I come in! This place was great!
We were delighted to have Jose as our server tonight! Years ago we put him in as our favorite, but he was no longer doing breakfast, which is when we frequently went to Panzano’s. He was phenomenal tonight! Ask for Jose when you go to Panzano’s!! The food was wonderful. The calamari, burrata, and entrees were tasty and quite frankly outstanding. It is so nice to get Italian organic food that is this well done.
