Awful service very average food you could make at home. Go else where on Hanover don’t waste your time here. Servers are rude
Great meal and service. Must come back
I went to Panza on a Sunday night to treat a friend for her birthday. I had reservations but came about 20 minutes early, as other reviews stated there may be a wait. Upon entering, we waited for about 5 minutes before a server took notice of us. Once they did, the server seated us near the door entrance. However, it was cold so we asked to move elsewhere and they obliged.
The restaurant itself is small and casual affixed with marble tables, and semi dim lighting. Seats are pretty close to each other but that is standard for most North end restaurants. I ordered the Lobster ravioli while my friend ordered the Braised Beef Short Ribs. For our entree, we shared the Mussels in red sauce. I also ordered a glass of chardonnay.
The Mussels were actually delicious but we both agreed a bit too salty. My lobster ravioli was lackluster, I barely tasted any lobster. However, my friend said it was really delicious. Her entree was actually delicious and well seasoned. I am not a wine connoisseur but my wine tasted ok.
However, the portions were generous for appetizer and entree.
In terms of the service by the server, it was just Ok. Our server did ask twice if we needed more bread but that was the extent of the service.
Still, I would be willing to give it a shot again because the value for the food is good for the North end area.
However, I have been to other restaurants in the North end who have better food and service.
Very small and crowded place. Our table was so small we couldn’t even all 3 of us fit. Plus the table was on the way to the kitchen and next to the bathroom making it very unpleasant.
Pre Marathon meal. We had the specials and they were amazing!
Small, cramped and incredibly delicious. Some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever tasted.
We had a delicious dinner but everybody seem to be stressed. There were many people waiting for tables and since it's a small restaurant it wasn't a relaxing dinner. I cannot blame the restaurant. It was Boston Marathon weekend and the whole North End was a zoo.
The food was well prepared. The red sauce was delicious. I had the pasta with eggplant and my husband enjoyed his chicken parmesan. The bread is wonderful.
I would definitely return to this restaurant on a quieter evening.
Reservation was for 5pm but showed up a half hour early and was seated right away. No issues with staff and food came out timely and not everything at once. Great portion and great pricing.
Two thumb up.
Panza was the highlight of our trip to Boston (maybe except for the marathon). It was a bit noisy but the food was delicious. I'm sorry we didn't go back the next day because the restaurant we went to wasn't nearly as good although it had 4 1/2 stars!
The food was good. The fact that we had a reservation didn't seem to matter. We stood at the door waiting to be greeted for about 15 minutes. Multiple members of the staff walked right past us (it's a very small restaurant) but no one gave us a second look. Finally my husband approached two different waiters to let them know we had a reservation 15 minutes ago until they finally seated us. They didn't check to see if we actually had reservations at that point. Once seated, service was great. The same waiter that avoided eye contact ended up waiting on us and was very attentive from that point on. Food was decent but not good enough to go back and put up with that kind of service.
Fantastic food. Cozy tables. Very busy and i understand the hype.
This Place was excellent. The portions were great, the food was top notch, and the prices were on par. I’ll definitely eat here again when I’m back in Boston.
We had a delicious meal and terrific value. Will definitely return. Generous wine servings which is rare and made our group happy. Mussels fradiavalo were excellent as was the chicken Panza and linguini carbonara. Very pleased we dined there. Only issue is if you are seated by the door, which we were, the guests coming and going from outside freezes your table. In winter they really need to install a curtain to block the frigid drafts.
Hope to return.
Amazing food at a very reasonable price! Small but romantic setting! Highly recommend!
Food was very Good Calamari on point. Veal Marcella was really Good could of used a little more wine but veal had great chew.Cesar Salad was Fresh Crisp could have had a little more Anchovy flavor, but OK.Service was Good we would go back.
All the meals were excellent with great sauces
This is my favorite restaurant in the North End- best linguine with clams I've EVER had. Every time I come here I am not disappointed!
Overall a great experience! Calamari was great, definitely recommend.
La nourriture était succulente!! Par contre on a dû attendre 20 minutes avant d’avoir notre table même si on avait une réservation! Et l’attente se fait à l’extérieur!!
Mais ça valait le coup!!! Belle découverte ce resto!!
Went to Panza pre- Justin Timberlake show in Boston. Food was absolutely delicious and a testament to my Italian heritage, very authentic. However, our waitress had a very dull personality and seemed disengaged. The other male server (not ours) seemed much more interactive with his customers.
Atmosphere was small and quaint but a little noisy; however it seemed most customers were there for the concert so it was fine.
Would definitely return but would hope to get the friendlier server next time.
A group of us wanted a nice dinner in the North End, before a concert at the Garden. It was casual, but cozy. The food was delicious, and reasonably priced. The only disappointment was the lack of a full bar; wine, beer and sangria only. Our food came out promptly, and the server was attentive.
Excellent food and service! Great value as well.
I really enjoyed the food at Panza. The service was as good as it could be with one person managing reservations as well as taking orders in an extremely busy restaurant.
What a great restaurant! My husband and I took my parents out to dinner when they visited from out of state. They were raving about how delicious everything was, and we will definitely come back!
Consistently excellent food. Very reasonable prices.
Food and service were both very good and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely go back.
Panza offers "typical" Italian fare for a good price. We bought a bottle of wine (~ $20 for Alamos malbec) and shared the fried calamari for an appetizer (which was quite good). I ordered the eggplant parm, which was good, but the dish was somewhat under-salted. The same goes for the pasta sauce that is served with the side pasta that comes with most of the entrees. My husband got the chicken panza, which was underwhelming. The chicken in that dish was overcooked, although the sauce itself was yummy. The restaurant was packed and the service was good. If I returned, I would get the deconstructed lasagna (which is made with black pepper pasta, likely homemade) and definitely the calamari.
Panza continues to amaze me. The food is of 5 star restaurant quality. The specials are creative and incredibly fresh and delicious as is everything on the menu. Outstanding service, friendly, fun atmosphere. A bit loud but that's the fun of it!
Food was authentic and delicious. Entrees came quickly. Well priced.
Great find in the north end- food was fabulous , very reasonably priced. It’s a small place so would recommend making a reservation . Highly recommend
This is a beautiful gem of a restaurant. The food is of impeccable quality, the service attentive without being intrusive and the setting and ambiance both casual and special. Packed house when we went on a Sunday for a late lunch, but still quiet enough for a conversation. When you walk in, you are blown away by the gorgeous aroma. A real winner!!
Food was great!
Phenomenal food. So authentic!
Great experience. Service was friendly and efficient; portions are good; food was delicious and the prices is very reasonable. We will be back.
This place has the most amazing sauces and pasta! Our family ordered 4 different plates; chicken piccata, ravioli with pesto, rigatoni with tomato sauce and sausage, and seafood with tortellini. Amazing!!! Great place for our family of 4 to have lunch!
Excellent Italian fare! We came early (latest reservation available was for 5 pm) so it was quiet, but it had gotten far busier by the time we left.
As always the staff is friendly . The food was delicious with just the right amount of portions. This is always my favorite place to come to.
Waiter wasn’t helpful with simple menu questions. One of the worst meals in recent memory.
Very small but excellent food and quick service! We talked about the food for the rest of the trip!
Always enjoy, have been many times. Will go back again.
