French toast was great. Waffle was mediocre. But nice ambience.
Food and coffee was very good, but the service from Derrick was outstanding.
Good service, good food. I would recommend!
Absolutely love visiting the panorama for a relaxed brunch or lunch with my boyfriend. The food is delicious and the waiters are very friendly and happy to make recommendations. Hope to be back soon!
My veal Parmesan was over cooked, soggy and the marinara had no true Italian flavor. Mashed potatoes were good.
Panorama is an excellent choice for lunch while visiting Forest Park. The wait staff is attentive. Our meal was well prepared, served in a timely manner, and delicious! We will look forward to our next visit!
Lovely place to have lunch. View out the big window of the park. food is good and well prepared. Service is excellent.
The event was brunch, the food was quite good. I had the champagne Benedict. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. The view is wonderful through the floor to ceiling windows.
WE had a SUPER waiter, Kelvin, friendly, funny and very knowledgable on the menu and events at the restaurant.
A wonderful way to complete a visit to the Art in Bloom event at the museum.
delightful experience--wonderful food, attentive, personable service, a modern, sophistocated, clean venue, appropriate acoustics, a stellar view. what more could you want for a special lunch?
Some of the best waiters I have ever experienced!
Great space. The eggplant was delicious.
The setting was nice, service pleasant, however, the brunch food was disappointing. The surf and turf omelet sounded great but was overcooked, both times and a bit browned and rubbery, not lightened fluff. The champagne benedicts had potential, nice flavor but rather a small portion. I feel that Panorama may be better suited for lunch or dinner. I would try again based on setting and service.
A wonderful experience all around. Great place to show off St. Louis to visitors.
We have been coming to Panorama on special occasions for nostalgias sake as we met there but the quality of food and service has gone so far down ..Art Hill that we will never come back. Our waitress this time was seemingly hung over or completely disinterested in providing foodservice in the slightest; everything but the main coursees were handled by other employees despite us being one of 4 tables MAX at any given point during our meal. Point of note is that I could persoanlly hear the chef going over the specials but our waitress came over and said what they were but she needed more info on what they WERE (we never got that info). Aside from the service issues the food was poor; I received a well done burger despite my order for medium on the MR side order and the bacon was not fresh (again despite us being the first table in there); I also ordered the 'Fresh Squeezed Blood Orange Juice' but it was thick like a carrot juice and we were charged for 'Tropicana Juice'. which was the final spark that led to this terrible review. If you want to eat there because it's something to do then great but don't come for the food or service.
Delightful and beautiful!
Always perfect!! The view, the creative food, the service, the wine, the hosting, are all terrific. And in one of America’s top Art Museum! Doest get any better!
My chicken was dry and the desert was not what I ordered.
Excellent food, service and view. Will definitely go there again
Glad we made reservations because it filled up! Food was amazing & our waiter was perfect. We were just a couple celebrating a birthday & I left instructions to give the “lady” the check & the waiter did that exactly like instructed!👍The entire experience was perfect! Great day!
Celebrated my birthday with breakfast and a walk around the museum. The food was great, fantastic view and service!
This is the restaurant in the St. Louis Art Museum. I've eaten there many times, mostly for lunch (they no longer offer dinner) and have found the food and service inconsistent from one visit to the next. There have been times when it seemed like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, particularly
among the wait staff.
However, on my most recent visit on 2/1/19, both the food and service were great. I am a big fan of Arancini (Italian rice balls), which are difficult to make and hard to find, and Panoroma's were delicious, served with a light tomato cream sauce. Our server was gracious and attentive, but not intrusive. The atmosphere is quiet and classy, befitting an art museum.
The quiche here is always delicious excellent. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was quite good. All in all, Panorama is a lovely place to dine whatever the weather, occasion, or season.
In inclement weather the indoor underground parking makes Panorama a perfect choice. The view during a storm is even more spectacular looking out the huge windows at the grove of trees. Of course the food is pretty amazing. The blueberry rum cocktail should always be added to your order. The pricing is a surprisingly good value.
I love Panorama for its design, service, and atmosphere. I wish that the food were better. I had the veggie burger, which was pretty good. Other times, the food is very often dry, as in the Niçoise salad and chicken breast on various salads. The descriptions are much better than the food itself. Perhaps if the food was simplified it would taste better. Thank you for this opportunity.
Beautiful view of Art Hill and good food too!
I absolutely had a wonderful time. My only disappointment was that I did not get the window table I had requested with my reservation. Everyone was having such a good time they just wouldn't give it up! Oh well, I guess I'll keep that in mind and plan for more time. Yes there will be a next time.
Good food, good service, beautiful atmosphere, great access to the exhibitions.
the food was very odd-- I had a toasted sandwich filled with lettuce, and some kind of creamed mushroom cheese sauce that was not very tasty, one granddaughter had fish that had to be returned to the kitchen because it was raw in the center, and and did not come with any vegetable or any kind of side dish. the other granddaughter had a burger that she did not finish but I did not ask why. the tablecloths and napkins very nice, the service was efficient but the waiters obviously very busy.
Panorama is truly a jewel in the Saint Louis restaurant landscape. The food and service are outstanding....the location is simply perfect. Panorama is its own “work of art” in the Saint Louis Art Museum.
Great food, excellent service, love the natural light and cocktails!
Great experience! Menu has something for everyone and our food was delicious. Wait staff was friendly. The shrimp penne pasta was great. A bit pricey. Rolls are amazing.
What a perfect place to enjoy a lovely meal after exploring the wonderful collections of the St. Louis Art Museum. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service incomparable; solicitous and attentive, polite and friendly, without imparting a sense of either hovering or rushing the diner.
But to restrict your dining options to only those Museum visits would be a mistake; The Panorama would be highly successful as a stand alone restaurant. It is not only designed with elegant simplicity with a view deserving of it’s name, it offers a refined and unique menu that would appeal to all palates, but as a vegetarian, I was beyond pleased. The only “shocking” thing is the well below value prices of the menu.
It was a lot more causal than I had anticipated!
Love this place!! They always treat us like members of the family. The service is always great and the food and view is fabulous!
I always love Panorama when at the art museum. Food exceeds expectations!! I wish they had some art in the restaurant like they used to (many years ago in the old location).
First off, our waiter was amazing. He had this laid back chill with professionalism and charm. Our food came out perfectly and quickly. The atmosphere for my group and I was "super fancy sleek" as this was Christmas present to them from me, a treat we do not often get.
The noise level was so soft. Not afraid to make a sound soft or speak at your normal speaking voice, so perfect level. I am partially deaf and love to sit and have a long meal and conversation and there are a lot of places where the noise level is just too high for that.
We will be back, perhaps next year as a Christmas tradition.
We went to the fabulous print show and wanted a delicious lunch afterwards.
We went up to the host and asked for a table. “Oh(showing list) we are fully booked and there is no availability today, I am sorry”.
It was just after 1pm. We leave the entrance and sit on a bench in the hallway - open up the Open Table app to find somewhere else to go et voila!
We have 3 time slots to choose from immediately at Panorama. I guess those empty tables were just that - empty.
We reappeared with our reservation intact and were seated immediately- and with a smile. I really do not like gotcha moments - however, this was one.
Well - it went downhill from that with the exception of their delicious iced tea.
Lackluster and tasteless (shame on the presentation) charcuterie platter.
Salads were lifeless with barely any dressing, crispness, or promised ingredients from the menu.
Panorama you need a retraining from back to front of house.
Such a gorgeous location.
I took my mother to Panorama for her 90th birthday In hopes of having a memorable day at the art museum and a fantastic lunch. Though my reservation stated it was for a birthday celebration no mention was made of it. That was the first disappointment. Then we were told the soup of the day was mushroom bisque. It was a strange orange color. We overheard the waiter tell the table next to us that the soup was shrimp bisque. Either way the soup was just a thick broth of some kind with neither of those ingredients to identify it.
Then there was the quiche. A tasty sounding assortment of three meats, cheese and spinach. It should have been an excellent treat and might have been if it had been heated before serving. It was refrigerator cold throughout. We wanted to tell the waiter to have it heated but he was not to be found and our “soup” was getting cold so we settled for the poorly done meal and bad service, paid the check (when we finally got the waiter’s attention) and tried to recoup the day with fine artwork instead.
Food very good, excellent sparkling wine.
Kelvin is a friendly and hard working waiter; very personable. He has served me more than once and I hope he always works there!
