Panorama Restaurant & Sky Lounge at Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is on the 8th floor of a 18 floor hotel. If you sit outside near the wall, there is a bit of a view. We didn't since it was windy. Food and service were good but during our 4 day stay in Coconut Grove we had a much nicer experience at other restaurants. Yuca Frita was very good. The ceviche was okay. The Seco de Pescado was delicious.
Management honored our Open Table reservation made 30 minutes earlier during the middle of Coconut Grove Arts Festival. The manager was very attentive to our needs and the staff was very professional. Three days later and my wife still raves about the ceviche.
My husband's Artisian salad was VERY nice. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was also nice; however, the Caesar was supposed to have bacon. I could find only one bacon bit in mine. Next time, if there is not enough bacon to stand out to the eye, I will ask for more. Our 10 ounce steaks were absolutely DELICIOUS. I wanted another one. The only other criticism is with the dessert. It was called "ice cream bar." There was no ice cream, just chocolate covered cream, and it was a VERY SMALL, rectangular object sitting on a very large plate. I would loved to have enjoyed same in a larger size with actual ice cream.
The views are spectacular and the service was amazing! I would recommend this to everybody! Best time to go in before sunset so you have the view of the bay and the beautiful colors Mother Nature offers us. The food was good but the drinks were delicious! Awesome little place .
I had a very pleasant date with my girlfriend at the Sky Lounge. It's a very quiet place- great to just a romantic evening. The scenary overlooking the bay was great at night. It's right next to the pool, so night gave the right balance of quietness yet great view.
I would definitely recommend anytime you want to impress a significant other or just enjoy a quiet evening.
The view is beautiful and the food was great. But we seemed to get there between shifts and our first waitress walked off after we told her we were ready to order and didnt come back. Our meals ended up taking an hour to come out. The took off our last round of drinks and apologized. Seems like more of a restaurant for just hotel guests.
The whole experience was perfect, valet parking very reasonable if not cheap, the ambient is very nice, the food excellent, I mean, amazing considering the prices, wine selection a little small but all very nice.
The service extremely good, our server, Remy just got into my top 10 servers ever.
Might be was my mistake for not checking more reviews about this restaurant, but I went there to celebrate my anniversay; I took my decision to go based on the pictures: SCENIC VIEW. But, although the view is in fact great, what the pictures are not showing is that this restaurant is on the Hotel's pool area, so, you will have people in bath suit walking around your table.
The food was OK... just OK.
Definately, this restaurant is not for Special Occasions.
We had 9 PM reservation but got to the place at 8 PM and were kindly told it was fine to do it at 8 PM
Food was good Music was good A Pisco Sour my wife order was too sweet so we had to change it with one more authentic which gas more Pisco It was changed immediately and a more real one was provided I order a Brazilian Lemonade and was Great
Service was very good as well as the promptness on getting our order We sat on the balcony facing Eadt and the view was espectacular because a Full Moon showed up We requested some pictures taken with the nice moon and the manager was really kind to manage them
It was overall a pleasant experience
This ranks as one of the best hotel restaurants in my book. It is on the pool deck, where you kind of feel sandwiched in, but a great view of the bay. It is a very open-air venue, next to the pool. My mojito was prefect. The cuisine is Peruvian fusion, and everything on the menu looked good. We started with the mixed ceviche, all of which were excellent. We also saw the shrimp appetizer walk by to another table and had to have it, which was wonderful. My steak was perfectly done. The carmelization on my creme brulee was a little to burned, but was otherwise great.
My only complaint was that we ate outdoors, and the wind and cold got to me. Good for a romantic evening.
Floating among the rooftops in Coconut Grove is Panorama, a Peruvian themed restaurant with a menu as good as the view from the pool deck. Enjoy eating inside or outside beneath the stars. The menu varies from ceviche to beef to aji de gallina dishes sure to please your palate. It's an excellent, cozy spot to enjoy your meal while forgetting about the city below.
Went To Panorama for brunch with 2 of my girlfriends for Miami Spice. I had Cause de Pollo for appetizer, Seco Pescado con Tacu Tacu for my entree, and Suspiro de Lucuma for dessert. Everything was delectable. The restaurant also has a great view of the marina and nice ocean breeze. It was drizzling a little bit when we were there but still got a chance to enjoy the terrace and the view. Will definitely come back to this spot when I come to Miami again.
It wasn't good. Imagine that we ordered one dish Ceviche and they forgot to bring it!!. Even more they were embarrassed and offered a glass of wine for free and they charged it!!. something that they didn't forgot was charging a 19% gratuity. The only good thing was the conversation with the waitress.
BAD EXPERIENCE !!
Nice place, but small (only 5 indoor tables). Food was good, but taste was about the same as many other (lower priced) Peruvian restaurants around Miami. Had the Miami Spice menu (Mahi Mahi), was good, but I've definitely had better. Tried my friend's Ahi de Gallina, which had a very good flavor. Causa de Pollo as appetizer was kinda bland, but picante. Corn nuts brought to the table as appetizer were nothing to write home about. For dessert I had Dulce de Leche with meringue. Good, but not spectacular. Has a nice (8th floor) view of Biscayne Bay and the Coconut Grove Marina.
Panorama is one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants in all of Miami - in fact, it's one of our favorite restaurants overall. Beautiful scenic views, great patio, delicious food - taste and presentation, drinks/wine list was great. We couldn't have been more pleased and it was our friend's first time there and they said it was such a hidden gem and they look forward to coming back. We brought our 22-month old this time and the staff was so welcoming of her offering her to color and interacting with her when they came by. It's a lovely romantic spot if you want great food and views with quiet ambience but also was good for us as a family because we sat outside and our daughter had plenty to look at. Some don't know they validate parking too!
