About
Wonderful food and friendly service! Loved sitting in the indoor terrace!
We arrived early and the restaurant was not crowded so we were able to be seated early. Appetizers to deserts were great.
Staff was friendly and not overly in your space.
Very good price and portions.
Fantastic food, and great service. We went on a Saturday and they had live music with dancing. The outdoor patio is enclosed and a little quieter.
Birthday dinner. Everything was perfect. Food and ambience was amazing. They had a Latino band that was a perfect touch. Did I say food was amazing.... yes.. I love this place.
We were there on March 30th to celebrate a family birthday and an imminent birth, and there was no disappointment. Excellent food, good drinks, great service, friendly ambiance! The only negative was that the noise level was a bit loud on a Friday night. Otherwise perfect!
The food was good and the service was great. Best cappuccino I've had in a while!
Pano & Vino never disappoints! Always delicious; great service and excellent value. Not to mention the fun, lively salsa dancing and great Sunday jazz! A favorite go- to- place.
The food was fantastic served with a good plate of customer service. The staff were energetic and well attentive. I will definitely be returning.
Our servers were not very attentive, but they were friendly. It's a good price for your basic italian dishes, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. The back patio is a nice place to sit.
Great ambiance and the food was excellent. The servers were on point and attentive. Excellent drinks and delicious desserts. Will definitely go again on the weekend to experience the music.
So much fun!!!! There was a Latin band playing great music and people dancing. Food was pretty good too
We had a nice quiet Birthday dinner with the family
Okay for my 40th (August 2nd) I wanted to dine someplace nice but not too expensive, after reading the reviews I selected this place. Upon entering the establishment I thought okay cool, no one greeted us. I see at hostess booth -no hostess ( or at least what I thought was hostess booth) okay so the nice bartender lady came around and seated us , I explained I had reservations, now I don't expect the bartender to know this but since there was no hostess to greet and seat us she did the best she could do. So I love my waitress /bartender( yes she ended up waiting on us all for the whole time we where there and she is gorgeous looks like a more feminine version of Michelle Rodriquez the actress, whom my boyfriend is crushing over) she was attentive, thoughtful, I ordered an entree which sucked when she came around asking how we like our food I told her the truth! It sucked , without hesitation, or me having to explain why I don't like it, she immediately said sorry to hear, did you see something else on the menu you want, I'll take this back and off your bill - any recommendations to kitchen abt the dish?
WTF amazing customer service!!! Drinks were good too! Atmosphere was nice, good looking Italian men walking around ( I guess they were the owners) So me and my boyfriend had eye candy the whole night. Upon leaving one of our guest left their food on the table, we where standing outside deciding what to do next , and guess who came out to being the bag my friend forgot! My waitress/ bartender superhero. So if the restaurant reads this please give that young lady the only promotion or raise. You owe her ( I don't remember her name, but you know who I am talking about) because I seriously was annoyed as the customer when nobody was there to greet patrons even with reservations!!
I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I wish I had been told that there was a huge wedding shower party due during my last visit but otherwise, it's always pleasant and I can hear my friends talk when we sit in the back garden area. The food is always reliable and I love to come here for a comfort food pasta.
Had to sit outside on the patio because the music was entirely too loud to be in the same tiny room. The music was good just too loud. So we chose to sit outside, while the food was good, it wasn't good enough to recommend. I had the risotto, it came on a plate in its colorless state with a pice of parsley in the middle. No effort to dress it up and it was really too salty for me. The only two out of six really enjoyed their choices.
I love this place they are the best and food is amazing
Made a reservation and waited 40 minutes after arriving on time only to leave because we still could not be seated!
My friends and I went to Pane e Vino to have an afternoon brunch. We arrived at 2PM, our reservation was for 2:30PM. I walked it and sat in the chairs nearest to the door - was never greet, asked if everything was okay, asked if we needed a table or anything. The employees simply looked at us and continued serving the other customers. Granted there was an event going on, but we weren't even acknowledged for 45 minutes. I got up and stood by the hostess stand, the employees continued walking back and forth, blatantly ignoring me. My party had to ask to be seated, we had to ask for menus, we had to ask for the server to take our orders etc. The menu indicates that tea and coffee comes with every brunch meal. No one at my table got either. I will say that the place is beautiful, especially the patio area. It is great for events, based on my observation the people who were apart of the event taking place got great service. The food was good as well but the service needs a lot of work.
Nice place for brunch ,service needs to step it up a bit but otherwise a good experience
The staff and service at this restaurant on the Sunday we had reservations for, was completely rude. Zero manners, zero customer service, ignored our reservation and we actually chose to leave than stay and deal with them.
restaurant was off in Sunday. . . Not up to its usual standard. . service was not good, food was till very good! . back area was cold because a panel was missing from the ceiling. . by the time we finished our meal, was when the manager had the panel. put back in. . Why did it take until 6pm to do that????. . manager made no effort to comp drinks or buy dessert for the table to apogee for the situation. . We have been there numerous times and I have to say this was the first time we were very disappointed. . even more so because we took friends there who were from out of town. . Food was good as usual, service was not as good as it usually is. . I'd go back but no with a sense of caution.
Arrived on time for a reservation and were not seated for almost an hour. Apparently a reservation a Pan e Vino does not mean much.
My sorority sisters and I came here for dinner to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. This place has a back patio that is heated (in the winter) and very nice both in the daytime and when the sun sets. I especially loved the authentic Italian feel with the brick walls and plants all over. We had a great time here and the food was also good. I will say the lobster was a little bland (possibly due to the way it was cooked) Nontheless, we didn't have an issue with anything else. Our waiter was very accommodating and made sure we were always ok. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I'll be returning in the future.
Very nice Italian food but they play Latin music
Dino is the best! He is extremely attentive and literally knows you are going to need something before you know you are going to need it. Truly the best service. The food is always amazing and there is a live salsa band there on weekends. Try the grilled calamari!
Food was wonderful, staff was accommodating
The food was good and the live music was amazing. The only real issue was that the hostess was a little clueless and scatter brained. I would return but im hoping the service will much better.
I was pretty disappointed by Pane e Vino, although I didn't get a chance to taste much of the menu. The bruschetta was standard at best, using pressed bread and overly-garlic'ed tomatoes. The calamari salad was poor, with a weirdly unpleasant flavor of old seafood that permeated the greens.
Me and my husband we were looking for a place to had our last minute celebration, we couldn't ask for something better that this Italian restaurant, the service was great since we step in, food was delicious and perfect, friendly environment, definitely a place that everyone must go. It's a yes yes yummy !
See you soon Pane Vino !
Walked in and had a reservation, and the bartender directed us to the hostess who wasn't at the podium. She asked what we were there for... i told her we had a res for 2... she then asked if we were there for dinner (umm yes), and if was just the two of us (uh yes again). And then asked if we wanted to sit in enclosed patio - I asked if it was cold, she said no, so we were okay with that. And then instead of showing us to the table (20 yards away) she gave the menus to a waiter, so we followed him, but then he gave the menus to another waiter, who seemed confused. Finally i asked if we were supposed to follow him and he did show us to a table.... which we say at... for 20 mins... without a waiter coming over. AND the patio was cold - other tables were complaining, as I ended up keeping my winter coat on. So for service I give it a "poor" although the waiters themselves were nice enough - the hostess is a joke and needs to figure out what a hostess does.
For the food - sub par, not impressed but we ate it. We got avocado bruschetta as a app - a waste of money as it was literally just a couple of slices of avocado on a slice of Italian bread. No other flavors. I ended up having to add salt abs pepper and oil to have it not taste so bland. We also got caprese salad - again it was bland, no oil no reduction- just sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and a little basil. I got gnocchi with pesto - it was good, but not amazing. My friend got bolognese which i thought was salty. And we split a bottle of wine - and the wine list is very much lacking. You order by the kind of wine not the label - which means they only have a house wine for each. And while we are wine drinkers, we both left full glasses on the table -- there is only so much cheap-not-good wine you can drink (even after you pay $30 for it).
Plenty of better options in the neighborhood. Not sure how this place has high reviews...
Rsvp was cancelled. It was extremely loud. For an Italian spot, having a Dominican band was too much for me. Used to live in Washington heights years ago. Was looking for a quiet night out w/fantastic drinks and food. Not my kind of spot. Also was never greeted at my table when I sat there for 15 minutes. Will never come back
Great place to celebrate with friends. I ordered the Lamb well done but when it came it was a little under cooked I told them and it was taken care of immediately. The snapper was excellent....my two friends ordered the snapper and ate all of it. Great for birthdays...they make you feel very special. If you want to find out you will have to visit. It was a Saturday night and they had a live band I got up and danced salsa. All around it was a great birthday celebration. Thank you.
Very good food, very attentive service. Great music, great time with family!
It was my friend's birthday. They had the band come out and sing happy birthday with
a Latin twist. They also brought out a piece of cake with a candle. She was very surprised. They did not rush us out when we lingered long after the bill was paid.
The backyard was all weather and festive,
and the waiter didn't mind lots of substitutions we ask him to do on the menu.
What a hidden gem! It doesn't look like anything spectacular from the outside but the food here was incredible! I had the lobster & tomato soup as well as the homemade lasagna. The lasagna was by far the best I've ever had in my life! My boyfriend had the chicken parmigiana. It was perfect! Flattened and lightly breaded and the right amount of cheese. The lemon and peach sorbettos are also made in house! This was a meal that I could have had in Italy. It was incredibly authentic, inexpensive, and perfect in every way!
Went with my daughter and wife, great meal Dino is the best!
I chose this restaurant based on reviews, but this restaurant is just mediocre in my opinion. nothing special....
Always excellent!
We really like pane e vino. It's one of our go to spots when my wife and I go out as well as when we go out w friends. One of the best spots in a neighborhood full of good restaurants.
Great time, pasta dish fabulous
