Meeting friends. Delicious. Attentive servers. Liked the additional small gifts of food in between courses!
Excellent service and food is terrific
Boudin noir was crunchy—very unappetizing. Waitress, while clearly new, was kind and accommodating.
Excellent meal with prompt, friendly service. I've eaten at Paname several years, and each time I've enjoyed a great meal.
Food is very nicely prepared with a beautiful presentation - the deserts are artistic masterpieces
I like the place very cozy, for the food just a suggestion to the chef no garlic in the vodka sauce 😜
A mild disappointment. Nothing was bad; nothing memorable. The place is tired, the plastic coated menus more appropriate to a greasy spoon.
Nice spot. The restaurant is small and intimate and also very quiet. The food was well prepared and the presentation was very good. We had escargot, steak, tuna tartare and the portions were relatively large and the service was very good. I will be back as it was most certainly a great place for a business lunch with good prices, good service and good food.
An inviting neighborhood French restaurant. Food is wonderful; also fun to sit at the bar for dinner.
Not my first visit but definitely the best. A reasonable 3-course prix fixe menu, in which the food was really good, and the service pleasant. And quiet enough to talk. Will definitely return. I recommend it!
Service was not good at all. Will not dine here again.
Local favorite featuring authentic French food and a warm, charming, casual, typically French ambiance. Chef and inspired owner Bernard and his dedicated staff are genuine, professional, and you can tell they genuinely care about your experience from start to finish. Portions and complimentary bites that sprinkle your table throughout your meal are generous. Great for a romantic evening out, or a large group of celebrating friends. The storefront is unassuming so I imagine neighborhood folks pass this by. Make sure you go in the next time! Fortunate to have these tasty French delights and good people in Midtown East!
We ordered Prix-Fixe dinner menu. 3 courses at $43(!), and the portion was pretty big. That was very good deal.
And food was very good, and my friend & I both liked the atmosphere. Very cozy and Neighborhood French restaurant.
It seems they have very good brunch menu too. I def try it soon!
The menu has a wide range of options to accomodate almost any taste, and the food was nicely prepared and beautifully presented.
What a pleasant surprise. Elegantly presented, sumptuous French food, served up in a cozy neighborhood storefront. Little extras like an amuse bouche, soup palate cleanser between courses, and house made cookies to finish the meal, are all unexpected delights. Attentive service capped a perfect dining experience. Will definitely come back for more.
I love Paname. superb food wonderful service. It is a gem and I'm lucky to have it in my neighborhood
Love this place. Just visited for the third time and it is always welcoming and terrific .
I really liked the atmosphere; it can be difficult to find quiet restaurants that don't cost an arm and a leg, so to speak. The wait staff answered any questions I had and gave excellent service. The only drawback for me was that the menu only included a few items that I really liked since I'm a picky eater. I generally eat seafood and very little pasta. I had a beet salad to begin with that was so-o delicious. My main course was one of the best chicken dishes I've had in a long time; the fact that wine was used in its sauce probably increased its deliciousness.
Excellent service and delicious and creative food,,in the French style..great wine choices..and a friendly atmosphere..and youncan hear yourself think here..
Paname has a great prix fixe menu, with a great many options. It's quiet, and the service is unobtrusive. It's almost always empty when we go (Sunday evenings), but it's been around a long time. I hope it continues to thrive.
A charming but unpretentious neighborhood French bistro. Caesar salad, crabcake appetizer, boullabaise, and lobster ravioli in cream sauce were traditional but very good (and a good value), and the chocolate volcano dessert was great. Only criticism is that the music from the bar seemed a little loud, though not quite loud enough for us to ask that it be turned down.
What impressed us most on our first visit was that the owner took great pleasure in greeting his guests, many of whom were regulars--we could see why. We'll definitely be going back.
Very good food and excellent service. The only slightly weak tasting caesar salad was a slight negative. The pork dish was outstanding as was the taster of the cauliflower cream soup. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food and service! Good atmosphere , pleasant waitress, very good for an early diner or a Saturday brunch.
We went for brunch. Nice menu, very few people there.
Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent service and a great welcome. Thank you Bernard and your team!
The appetizers were excellent - crab cakes, escargot, beet salad. The entrees were excellent - bouillabaisse, sole. The amuse bouches were a nice surprise. Unfortunately, we all had the crème boulet and it wasn't very good. I'm sure if I had any other dessert I would have given them 5 stars for food.
Exceptional service, very good food and some special treats. A great experience!
Paname was absolutely lovely!
We had the prix fixe dinner and it was fantastic!
I had the baby octopus and my partner had the crab cake starter. We both had the lobster ravioli as a main. Everything was amazing!
Our server was terribly pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We will be back!
Great food at a great price. Very nice people and very good service.
Gourmet food at more than reasonable prices. I had escargot in little yummy hollowed-out red potatoes and a great garlic-basil dipping sauce, spaghetti bolognese made with ground sirloin and a great chocolate mousse cake. A glass of wine or a cocktail is included in the prix fixe of $28.00. The glass of rose was so good, I had another. Lots of choices in the three offered categories.
Lovely, low-key restaurant with excellent food and a charming staff. The bouillabaisse was delicious – recommend it highly.
This restaurant is truly a wonderful French restaurant in Manhattan. The menu offers many choices. Everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. The chef gives amuse bouchée between courses. We felt as if we were in Paris. This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem.
We've enjoyed very much a birthday celebration with friends at Paname. The three-course prix-fixe had plenty of choices, and everyone could taste the various food while sharing the appetizers. The presentation of every plate was outstanding. Service was very attentive and friendly and the quiet ambiance allowed for plenty of conversation. Paname is recommended to any lover of French food in NYC.
The food was phenomenal, everything was tasty and delicious. The place was quiet, great for chatting with friends like I did but also great for a date.
The service was lovely in this quiet little spot. Unfortunately, the food was not as great. The prix fixe menu has many options, but we wish there had been half as many that were twice as good. We left with fully bellies but probably won't return.
Good, not great. Looking at the reviews I thought we had found a truly hidden gem. It's food was good, nothing great though to justify those review. I enjoyed my meal for the price point, but with some many restaurants in the UES, I prob won't return.
What a delightful restaurant with generous portions and attentive staff.
It feels like home. It's delicious. Inexpensive and great selections of food. I would highly recommend this place for family and friends.
Great neighborhood gem. Excellent service. Great bang for your buck 👌🏼
Lovely bistro w outstanding 2 or 3 course special for lunch. Very good French food, highly recommended for neighborhood eatery.
