Paname French Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We ordered Prix-Fixe dinner menu. 3 courses at $43(!), and the portion was pretty big. That was very good deal.
And food was very good, and my friend & I both liked the atmosphere. Very cozy and Neighborhood French restaurant.
It seems they have very good brunch menu too. I def try it soon!
What a pleasant surprise. Elegantly presented, sumptuous French food, served up in a cozy neighborhood storefront. Little extras like an amuse bouche, soup palate cleanser between courses, and house made cookies to finish the meal, are all unexpected delights. Attentive service capped a perfect dining experience. Will definitely come back for more.
I really liked the atmosphere; it can be difficult to find quiet restaurants that don't cost an arm and a leg, so to speak. The wait staff answered any questions I had and gave excellent service. The only drawback for me was that the menu only included a few items that I really liked since I'm a picky eater. I generally eat seafood and very little pasta. I had a beet salad to begin with that was so-o delicious. My main course was one of the best chicken dishes I've had in a long time; the fact that wine was used in its sauce probably increased its deliciousness.
A charming but unpretentious neighborhood French bistro. Caesar salad, crabcake appetizer, boullabaise, and lobster ravioli in cream sauce were traditional but very good (and a good value), and the chocolate volcano dessert was great. Only criticism is that the music from the bar seemed a little loud, though not quite loud enough for us to ask that it be turned down.
What impressed us most on our first visit was that the owner took great pleasure in greeting his guests, many of whom were regulars--we could see why. We'll definitely be going back.
The appetizers were excellent - crab cakes, escargot, beet salad. The entrees were excellent - bouillabaisse, sole. The amuse bouches were a nice surprise. Unfortunately, we all had the crème boulet and it wasn't very good. I'm sure if I had any other dessert I would have given them 5 stars for food.
Paname was absolutely lovely!
We had the prix fixe dinner and it was fantastic!
I had the baby octopus and my partner had the crab cake starter. We both had the lobster ravioli as a main. Everything was amazing!
Our server was terribly pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We will be back!
Gourmet food at more than reasonable prices. I had escargot in little yummy hollowed-out red potatoes and a great garlic-basil dipping sauce, spaghetti bolognese made with ground sirloin and a great chocolate mousse cake. A glass of wine or a cocktail is included in the prix fixe of $28.00. The glass of rose was so good, I had another. Lots of choices in the three offered categories.
This restaurant is truly a wonderful French restaurant in Manhattan. The menu offers many choices. Everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. The chef gives amuse bouchée between courses. We felt as if we were in Paris. This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem.
We've enjoyed very much a birthday celebration with friends at Paname. The three-course prix-fixe had plenty of choices, and everyone could taste the various food while sharing the appetizers. The presentation of every plate was outstanding. Service was very attentive and friendly and the quiet ambiance allowed for plenty of conversation. Paname is recommended to any lover of French food in NYC.
Excellent, friendly service; 2 extra tasters - compliments of the chef. A quiet evening, but maybe because of the 4th of July week. Bouillabaisse was very good, the crab cake appetizer a bit too salty, tarte tatin was a baked apple - very tasty, but not the tarte tatin that is like a fried apple upside down cake I am used to. Price value fine.

What a delightful dining experience! The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is outstanding and the environment is so welcoming, due in large part to the owner who visits every table to ensure his guest level of satisfaction. Not my first visit and won't be my last!
