Dinner was FABULOUS. They have 4 & 5 course Pre-Fixe dinners. We opted for a la carte. We started with a basket of crudites and yummy bread. Then split puff pastry filled with seafood. My husband had the lamb shank and I had Wild Boar. We both had chocolate souffle. The wine list is limited but very good. And the prices are reasonable. About half what you would pay on the strip. Our a waiter, John, was extremely professional. He is probably the best waiters we've ever had. He guided us through the menu and made recommendations. He let us take our time and he was very personable.
We've been to many restaurants on the strip, include the top restaurants in Bellagio, Wynn and the Venetion. I recommend that you get off the Strip and go to an excellent restaurant that has lovely atmosphere, top wait staff and is reasonably priced.
Always amazing food and the waters are great. I really enjoy bringing people here
Superb country-style french food. Off the Strip for a reason.
Perfect in every way! Highly recommend -- must try the dessert souffle!
Our experience was excellent. Fabulous service-very professional, phenomenal food, & the perfect ambiance.
Super food in this “oldVegas” place. Fab soufflé (chocolate or Grand Mariner) try it.
Great service and great food.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas and a best kept secret. We have been coming here for years and never have been disappointed.
George and his team are the best at hospitality and gourmet food presentation.
If you have never been here you are depriving yourself of the best there is.
After being here for 42 years, you know they understand quality.
Elegant dining combined with great cuisine and service.
Food was light, yet very filling! Service was great and the food was even better. It was the perfect place to spend Valentine's Day.
Went on Valentine’s Day. We had hoped for more. It was a romantic setting. We knew it was old but it really needed updating. Painting and new carpet would make it very nice. The food was disappointing. Soft shell crab appetizer was fishy, covered in sauce so not at all crispy. The asparagus (2 Spears) was put into a puff pastry and covered with sauce—not good! My duck was mixed—the breast dry and tough, the leg very good. We were surprised they only serve wine & beer. The wine list was quite small. Our server was rough around the edges but very nice. It was quiet & you could talk. With some fresh paint and a fresh menu, this could be a good place but you don’t get a sense they see that.
This is our 6th year here for Valentine's day. It has been a tradition and we were beyong disappointed. The besr part their 6 course meal, costing $200+, was the Lobster Bisque and the water. We made the trip from California, a 4 - hr drive every year for this and this will be the last time. Service was slow and chaotic. They served my tasteless lamb with french fries. My wife's filet mignon was also with fries. The creme brule was some sauteed bananas and vannilla ice cream. The salad was bare without thought. The softshell crab appetizer was just horrific. Waste of my money. We should have just gone to a buffet at the Cosmopolitan, or hundreds of other choices in Vegas. I wish their restaurant the best, but they will never see us again!
Just ok. Went there for Valentines Day and they had a special menu, one of the deserts was Creme Brûlée and we ordered it. It turned out to be ice cream with that flavoring. For a French restaurant you think it would be authentic, and at least let the customer know that it was just ice cream. On top of that they billed us for a higher bottle of wine, it was corrected but still it was an inconvenience. Would I go back? Probably not.
I had a craving for some escargot and we were getting close to Valentine's Day so trying a new French restaurant sounded like a great idea. Pamplemousse had the escargot and then some. My wife and I both did the 5 course meal and everything was fantastic.
Outstanding dining experience!!! Can’t believe I’ve been living in Las Vegas for 10 years and tried this restaurant just now! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, accomodating and food is to die for!!!!! Will be coming back for sure!!!
Loved everything about our dining experience wonderful waiters wonderful food..we are planning on making it a part of our yearly Vegas visit..just sorry it took so long to discover this great restaurant!
This was our first visit and everything was excellent. We took a friend for her Birthday dinner and she loved it. Food, service and atmosphere was excellent for a special occasion or a everyday meal. This will not be our last visit.
As always, everything was great. Special thanks to the chef for preparing beef Wellington in a special way. Every time I go to Las Vegas I try to schedule an evening here. It's very unique and there's nothing like it where I live.
Everything is great, from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, it is always a pleasure to visit Pamplemousse Le Restaurant.
Had a wonderful dining experience and would recommend it in a New York heart beat.
What a lovely evening! The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and the portions were plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie basket; this was a nice bonus to the meal. The lamb shank was AMAZING!!!!!!
I have been to this restaurant twice before last week and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. With that said I was somewhat disappointed this last visit. We were greeted and seated immediately, ordered wine and our dinners. I was not hungry enough to order off the pre fixe menu however my dining mate did. I ordered Rack of Lamb with a side of mashed potatoes and he ordered Lamb Shank, onion soup which was flavorful but seemed more like a watered broth with a lot of Swiss cheese. His lamb shank was just mediocre with a lot of sauce and my rack of lamb did not have much flavor. I need to mention that my favorite food is potatoes so of coursed I ordered a side of mashed. This is what brings me to write this review. The potatoes I swear were box or bag and not thick like you would expect for French cuisine and absolutely no flavor. I would never leave MP on the table but I couldn't even eat them. Yes, I should have said something but we were heading to a concert and at that point service was slow. There were only 5 other tables with guests and 3 waiters/servers at that particular time but somehow they couldn't manage to get it together and pick up dishes or check on us. It started out great when we were the only guests. Finally we had to ask twice for our bill and requested they call a cab. I finally got up and asked if they had and they yes which the ride did arrive shortly after that. At this point we only had 30 minutes to get to our venue and you know what LV traffic is like on Saturday night!!! Yes we were a bit late but couldn't shake the fact that I had recommended this place and was so looking forward to it. Somehow the food has really dropped to another level...I'm not surprised when we asked our valet, concierge and several other people if they knew about it and only one person said yes and asked "Is that Place still open?" It's a lovely romantic room but I think I'll keep my eyes on the reviews before I return :(
I had been here in 1993, It has not changed much food selection and ambience all outstanding.
Food was average at best. If it weren’t for the atmosphere, it would not be worth going to. Service was too slow...beyond leisurely.
We try to make it to this hidden "gem" whenever we are in Vegas, schedule permitting!! We've been going here since the late 80's. It's always wonderful and all the people working there are the best.
Like a vacation in France, from Edith Piaf singing La Vie en Rose to the amazing Grand Marnier soufflé, it was an evening to remember. Old school Vegas at its best.
We had a 120 birthday celebration and it was a lot of fun. We had half of he restaurant and it was set up beautifully! Walked in to a beautiful set table for 18. The presentation was wonderful, the waiters were very attentive, everyone ordered a la carte off the menu and got exactly what they asked for. The main thing was that the food was very delicious and very reasonable. Will definitely spread the word and recommend to all my friends that visit Las Vegas. Thank you Pamplemousse for a beautiful evening!
Found this restaurant on Open Table and went looking for something different with some nice ambiance but a place where we didn't have to yell to hear each other while having a nice meal. From the moment Kiefer welcomed us we knew we were in for something special. Amazing food, history, ambiance and service. Highly recommend.
This is one of the best kept secrets in Vegas. The history is incredible, and the waiters will be happy to share some of it with you. The ambiance is old world European, and a great place to relax with friends, or with a date. Impeccable service, none better. Finally, to the food, always spectacular. Needless to say, one of my favorite restaurants.
Friend’s birthday—lovely meal, great service. She was pleased!
Menu was interesting, but food was mediocre. Service was slow, and not great in any way. It was disappointment, as I chose this place for NYE dinner after reading good reviews for this restaurant. Now I agreed totally with negative reviews I tried to ignore before.
Very nice New Year's Eve prix fixe meal. All of the courses were prepared well and presented very appropriately. The food was delicious and ample. A well done holiday menu!
Food was delicious and the staff was friendly, we had a very pleasant experience
Super quite and a great date and anniversary night date. 39.99 4 course is awesome. Steak is done rare.
Pamplemouse never fails to deliver. The food is excellent; the service impeccable and the value, for a French style restaurant, is impressive.
This restaurant is perfect for special nights or impressing someone special.
It was fantastic! The food, the ambiance, and the service were spot on!!
Pamplemousse was very good. However, the decor was exactly the same as when we were there over ten years ago so it could use some redecorating. The staff was lovely and they tried do please us at every turn.
Had the tasting menu and it was fabulous! On a slightly negative note, the heating was a bit too strong. Overall a great meal.
We enjoyed tremendously our Christmas dinner at this restaurant. Good was succulently delicious and beautifully y presented. Service was courteous and professional.
As always Keefer maintained an excellenct level of service from the staff while dealing with one of the busiest CHristmas Eve evenings in years, a testamony to the ongoing superb dining experiences fro this 42 year old family owned and operated restaurant. The sommelier helped me pick out a perfect pairing with the wild boar in a red wine reuction. The duck liver pate was creamy and delicious which was paired with framboise flavored champaigne that seemed to evaporate on the tongue into a cloud of flavor. No detail was overlooked in the menu. This is a restaurant I would highly recommend if you are in Las Vegas.
