The atmosphere and service in this restaurant are really a cut above. Very good. I would recommend it to a friend, but I wouldn't recommend the Tournados Of Beef. The meat was extremely tough. My date did order it medium-well, which I know most chefs hate to cook it that way. But, even if it is cooked that way it shouldn't be tough. It was pretty much inedible. Very disappointing. In other restaurants I've ordered steaks medium-well and they were never like that. I did have the Braised Lamb, which was very good. The asparagus and mushrooms in puff pastry, and the chocolate soufflé and the chocolate mousse were very good.
Tres bien! Fabulous French—the food, the menu, the ambience are sophisticated and casual enough for old Vegas charm. Not a place for babies and young children. Perfect for romantic dates, double dates and there’s a delightful room for intimate parties. Must go!
The servers were great help when it came to the menu. And it seemed like they enjoyed the work they do. They are very knowledgeable when it came to the items on the menu as well. Refills were also on point. Thank you guys.
John our waiter was amazing, vast knowledge, story teller. And spot on through our five course meal-that was amazing and what a deal....beats the hell out of the Prime at Bellagio, Hugos, Gordon Ramseys
and many more. We have eaten at all of them....
Dont be fooled by the exterior, once inside your are immediately transported to a bygone era....of class.
A must stop for the epicurean....ample portions....you'll be full....and glad you got acquainted with this Pamplemouse (grapefruit in french)
Always a great experience
Service was impeccable. Food was exceptional. Will dine again.
Everything about my experience at Pamplemousse was absolutely incredible! Truly the best service I've ever had. They were extremely accommodating and did everything they could to make the dinner a very special experience. We had a group of 10 going to celebrate my birthday and the entire staff was wonderful. The experience was great from the moment I made the reservation. They immediately called to see if there was anything they could do to better accommodate us which I find very thoughtful. Upon arrival, they had a long table set up and ready for us. We decided to do the five course menu and everything we had was so delicious! We started off with the fresh vegetables which we could've eaten all of if we didn't have four more courses to come. Between the entire table, I think we tried most of the items on the list and everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. They had great recommendations for wine and beer pairings for our meal as well. Although everything tasted great, a few items that stood out were the appetizer with the lobster bisque, wild boar, duck, and chocolate mousse! I highly highly recommend Pamplemousse for anyone looking for a unique dining experience with an incredibly friendly and knowledgable staff. I can't say enough nice things about them, they were wonderful. They stayed open an hour later for us as well since we were such a large party and it took a while to get through all the courses. I wish I took pictures, but we were all too busy enjoying the food and experience! Thank you all so much for making the dinner so special! I really appreciate how you went above and beyond for us! We will be back!
Our server/manager was amazing! He made us feel welcomed and we appreciate that so much.
Extraordinary and highly recommended! Marsha and I have lived in Las Vegas since the mid-nineties. Sadly, it took us over twenty years to have our first Pampleamousse experience. This past Saturday night we finally gave it a try. Pamplemousse is the restaurant of our dreams; an experience we thought unavailable in today's world. The only downside? Realizing that we have wasted twenty years of great dining! The upside? Everything else. The atmosphere was warm, intimate and inviting. A wonderful restaurant with many nooks and crannies for the tables, designed for conversation and romance. John's service was personal, attentive, informative and warm. Then, of course, the food, from first to last was served in the perfect cadence for taste, conversation, and intimacy. The glow we felt as we left that night has remained with us for days!
We love Pamplemousse so much! It’s one of the last gems of vintage Las Vegas & we appreciate the food, staff & ambiance more than we could express.
The neighborhood is a little run down and the exterior of the restaurant a little dated, so we were pleasantly surprised by the linen covered tables in a warm, cozy set of rooms. The meal was absolutely delicious from the wine through dessert and the service was perfect. A great evening.
A very nice evening. Food was perfect. We'll be back.
We went on Saturday night for the first time. John was our waiter, he was outstanding! We could not recommend anything higher than the chocolate souffle, best ever! Escargot, Rack of Lamb, and the Sea Bass were all excellent! We won't let a lot of time go by before we get back here again. A big thank you to John and the chef for taking such great care of us on our anniversary ❤️
Reserved a table at Pamplemousse for my wife and myself to celebrate our wedding. It was an amazing experience. The restaurant itself, founded by singer Bobby Darrin, was and a whimsical trip back in time to old-world Las Vegas elegance and style — reminiscent of the city’s golden age of the early 1960’s. Even with a fairly early reservation (5pm) we were treated like royalty with impeccable and caring service. I don’t even know where to start with the food — the chef was performing culinary alchemy, with every dish more succulent than the last. My wife, who is a practiced hand with French food and a tough one to impress, was floored with the pure perfection of each course. All in all, Le Pamplemousse is a very special place in Las Vegas and was the perfect setting to celebrate our special day. A visit here is now a prerequisite for my wife and I each time we visit Sin City. A truly magical place.
Food was over cooked even after sending it back followed by limited selection of fois gras préparations. Additionally steak was not prepared to order of medium rare twice. Sauce was over cooked with mush rooms. Waiters were there when they weren’t required. Took forever to get the bill. Twice we were sitting next to women who’s voice carried to many tables talking about various subjects as well as cost of items. Ultimately I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of the restaurant.
The food was phenomenal, but service could be better. A manager who was also our waiter appeared to be having a bad day, but he could have communicated with us sooner with things though.
We dined during restaurant week and did the 80.00 menu. Thoroughly enjoyed. We chose the fruiti de marri for the appetizer, and the seabass, and I had the filet. For dessert we had the fritteroles, and the gran marnier. Needless to say we had to have a to go bag, it was all delicious. Our service was very attentive. Restaurant week gives us a chance to try something we normally don't order.
We had a great table. At first we thought the gentleman who stopped by to bring water was a Busser or Maître D.l, as he did not clarify that he would be happy to help us with wines. The food was very good, but not quite as epicurean as I anticipated, especially in light of the menu. All in all, it was a very classic Vegas experience and we will definitely return again. The location and vibe are charming enough to make the experience worth it!
I would and continue to recommend Pamplemousse Le Restaurant to all my friends.
Not up to the standard that I expected for the money. Really enjoyed the lamb shank but otherwise the escargot was as good as expected. For the price, I expected more. The ambiance is nice.
Everything was amazing. Service, food, dessert. Totally awesome!!!
So nice to experience classic Las Vegas dining style and classic French cuisine! Service was personable and attentive while not cloying. Preparation and presentation was perfect, portion sizes were generous but not overwhelming. Menu choices were diverse.
It smelled terrible outside, that should have been my warning. I waited about several minutes to be seated by the first employee I saw. I booked an early table, since I was dining alone. I went because they were participating in Restaurant Week, which I support, for my first and last meal at Pamplemousse. Unlike the table that arrived after me, I was not offered a wine list. I was asked if I would like a glass of wine and was asked if I would like white or rose, based on my food selections. I chose rose, having had many French varieties I have liked. This was not one I would have again. Garden variety French food from a restaurant that might have been good when it opened, but is the worst I have had in Las Vegas. I Was served an underdone soufflé for dessert. I would not recommend for a single diner or anyone who can get to any of the good French restaurants in town.
Beware wine and beer only. Not good value for the price. Food was not seasoned well. Rather bland. Very dark inside. Originally stuck us at a table where you were shoved against the wall that had a ledge just at elbow height. We asked to move. Low ceilings and loud. We were very disappointed. Lamb shank dry. Boar was below average. Go elsewhere. Looks tired.
My family has enjoyed fine dining at Pamplemousse for over 25 years. Excellent quality and service and reasonable price in an intimate atmosphere. The basket of vegetables is always a real treat. Bring back the hard boiled eggs. Pamplemousse is a Las Vegas dining icon.
The most obnoxious 4 top of loud upstate New Yorkers completely ruined the ambiance for date night. F bombs, talking about cancer, largest tumor ever recorded in New York history and death. They were complaining about family members....it was awful. And, the ones cursing were 70-something year old women. I've officially seen and heard it all. Service was professional and efficient. I was sad to see that it was so slow at 7pm. I hope the place stays open...for the owner's sake. I am not sure we will be back.
Love this place, right off the strip. Beautiful. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing!
My wife and I were looking for an authentic french restaurant that is off the Strip, and I am glad that we found Pamplemousse. The food was great, service was awesome and we felt that we got great value for our money.
Food and service were amazing. Music was playing softly in the background. Very romantic evening for my wife and me.
Second time in as many years. Pamplemousse has been around for longer than my adult children, so it's time tested. I would have preferred a more expansive wine list but the food was excellent and the service was attentive and warm.
everything was fabulous and would return again and recommend to others
What a shame, used to be one of the best in Vegas. Poor food quality, service didn’t seem to care if we liked it or not. General apathy overall. Will never go back, with the number of world class restaurants in town why would we waste our time. Actually stopped at another restaurant just to get some food before going home. What a way to ruin an Anniversary, thanks Pamplemousse !!
Crudités were excellent . Glasses of red wine were not-wine tasted like it was open for 5 days & very warm. Escargot was mot very warm , but very overcooked. Seafood on puff pastry (bay scallops & small shrimp) was room temp at best , fishy tasting & like rubber-so overdone they were like rubber! Main courses of rack of lamb & salmon with champagne sauce were cooked okay, but had no taste & the sauce on the fish was pretty non-existent.
A rare gem! Unassuming, quiet, with impeccable service, delicious food, and a cozy romantic atmosphere. We couldn’t believe we found a place like this in Las Vegas! We will definitely come back.
The food was incredible and our server was fantastic! My husband and I celebrated our 25 years wedding anniversary here. Definitely will return!!
The duck with orange sauce is fabulous!!!
We have dined there over 30 years when in town. It is great
We love this gem of a restaurant! Whenever we’re in Vegas we dine here. We’ve been coming here since the mid eighties and try to eat here at least twice a year. Wonderful food and service. Don’t pass this restaurant up if you enjoy a quiet, romantic setting!!
