Tired old restaurant running on fumes. Service was fine but food was mediocre compared to the magnificent meals the served in its heyday.
The food was excellent and served in a quaint and a beautiful environment. Our waiter was professional and friendly. Our experience at Pamplemousse was exactly what we wished for... French dining in quiet romantic setting.
Amazing food and service. Pulling up was a bit concerning but once inside was blown away. Quaint, fun, relaxing and best lobster bisque ever. Huge recommendation for a great 5 course meal at a below average Vegas price.
First time here, looking for a nice French Restaurant in Vegas off the strip, would come back when in town,
very good, top notch service and the food was really good I had the special spinach ravioli in a lobster cream sauce, mmm husband had the lamb shank me loved it. I love the basket of veggies they serve with a Italian dipping sauce very unique, don't eat to much you can get full on just this and the French bread, excellent wine. Have to say 5 star.
My wife, whom is French, loved the restaurant. Food was excellent. Very courteous staff.
The best place in Las Vegas to have great French food! We eat here at least once every time we come to Las Vegas.
Felt good could have been much better. Not much flavor in any course. The soufflé was a little deflated. Steak sauce was gelatinous.
A very pleasant experience. The atmosphere was quiet and I felt like I was in a different time. The food was spectacular. Service excellent.
Dear Prospective Customer,
Had not been here for a number of years and am very glad I revisited this restaurant. This restaurant is a Las Vegas icon and should not be missed. The food is GREAT, the service is magnificent with all waiters working together, it's quaint and delightful. You will thoroughly enjoy the ambience.
Wonderful food at a restaurant that feels very old time Hollywood.
The staff was a little overwhelmed. They were still polite, efficient and professional. I think the issue was that whoever is in charge of the reservation systems need to take more time managing it. If Open Table is used correctly it should limit how many reservations are available for each time slot.
As always it’s wonderful
It is a lovely experience with excellent food. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, confidence from years of refining their service. Just a wonderful evening.
We dined here for a Valentines date an evening after the holiday had passed. Needless to say we were very excited. But everyone except for one gentlemen seemed to be in a sour mood. Almost every interaction we had was short and snobby. They served us our basket full of crudites and drinks, then they forgot about us. I was forced to get up from the table and wait for someone I could stop and politely ask for more beer and bread.
The whole time we were there you can hear the kitchen staff, chefs, and servers yelling at one another. Either yelling orders, shouting about how long it is taking for food to be delivered, or jokes between the staff. They talked more to one another than they cared to speak with us.
I also asked for garlic mash potatoes with my Wild Boar and was told that would be an extra cost at the alacarte prices. I told our server I understood this and would still like the mashed potatoes. Well they never showed up and I didn't want to make a fuss, but I was happy to see that it was not on our final bill.
Now, the food is an out of this world, born again, culinary delight. We loved almost everything to insane degrees. We both agreed the Wild Boar won the night hands down. So tender and full of unique flavor. It was like little perfectly cook medallions of meat candy. The accompanying sauce was also to die for. Escargot was great as well. Surprisingly, I found myself really loving the french fries they serve when you order Escargot as an entree. Favorite fries I have had anywhere hands down.
Ambience is weird. Decorations are nice and it is fun to take in the surroundings, but the music they pumped through the place was not really setting the mood. Of course some of it was more traditional music from the region they are trying to represent and that is fine. I just didnt feel they chose the best music to represent the culture.
This could have been our best dining experience ever, but it was made less than stellar by a few poor attitudes. Shame.
Las Vegas in the grand style of years ago. Sure hope this wonderful place survives. Delicious French cuisine served by charming gentlemen of Sinatra’s and Bobby Darin’s era. A night to remember!
Amazing food and amazing service; second to none! A real gem.
We always enjoy an evening spent at Pamplemousse Le Restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance is terrific.
Consistently excellent food and service. This is truly one of the greatest treasures of this city and should be visited by anyone that appreciates French Fine Dining and old world service that speaks to their well deserved accolades from patrons new and old.
Food was exceptional! We love French cuisine so everything matched our expectations! Escargot was prepared beautifully with right amount of garlic and spice. Soufflé was light, fluffy _ Husband had chocolate and I had Grand Marnier. Orange duck was cooked to standards but skin a little crisp for my taste- he had Tournedos of Beef and was prepared to perfection. Overall was a wonderful experience coupled with proper but not overdone attendance by wait staff! I give it three thumbs up and will hopefully return at some point. Reasonably priced for $$ signs... Only serve Beer and Wine. Highly recommend!
It is a Las Vegas institution harkening to a less hurried time, operated by family rather than corporations.
We enjoyed the character of this restaurant. Unique service steps and friendly staff. I would return to Pamplemousse.
We arrived very early (4 of us), and found the host to be friendly and more than accomodating to questions, providing suggestions and in some cases offering things not listed on the menu when he could. The first course was basic raw vegetables, but beautifully presented in a picnic basket and accompanied by a nice vinagrette. I would not have wanted anything more filling. For the second course, we had lobster bisque and one plate of pate. Both were truly excellent. The palette cleansing course was a nice grapefruit sorbet with a little champagne, and was perfect for us. For the main course, we had a beef filet dish, a wild boar dish, and a lamb shank dish. All three were superb. We had chocolate souffle and chocolate mousse for dessert. The entire meal was within the fixed price menu, and at under $60 per person, we thought it was a good value. We will be back.
I was looking forward to eating in this restaurant with our friends However, I ended up being very Embarrassed in front of our friends for taking them to this restaurant. The quality of food was not good and it did not taste anything like French food! Potions were very small and most of the food and soups were extremely salty. Servers were polite but not attentive to the needs. I had to ask for water many times since nobody was checking on us at our table. Chocolate soufflé was not tasty at all and the quality was very low. Bathroom was very dirty and full of toilet paper on the floor and toilet was not flushing correctly. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.
Great food and service. Place could use a good cleaning and face lift!
Very charming rustic French restaurant With a long history in Las Vegas. Outstanding, attentive, and lovely staff.
Definitely will be back.
Food here is always fabulous and the service is unbeatable. Definitely a wonderful dining experience.
Great restaurant and great feel and look. Service was exceptional
Fantastic restaurant - everything from the fantastic food to the great service. Very unique dining experience one that we would highly recommend.
Great good with excellent and attentive service. Waiter was very helpful and able to give suggestions for seating and menu/wine options.
Concho is always so great. The food is incredible and the ambiance is very nice.
This was a great place that I discovered! The ambiance is excellent! The touch of the veggie basket is unique! Great food! We ordered the scallops app, my husband had the lamb shank absolutely delicious! We will continue to try to go at least once a month! The service was amazing I Believe the manager was the one checking on our table constantly making sure we were ok!
I love Pamplemousse! The ambience is amazing. Our server John was the best! We come here for all special occasions, and love to bring friends.
Let me start by saying this visit was a whirlwind of emotions for me. I was in Vegas with a friend for a birthday and we decided to try dinner somewhere off the strip away from all the craziness. I had a opentable reward that I had still not used so I decided to cash it in for this reservation.
The visit started out ok. I let our server know that we had a reward. Now it started to go downhill. When I showed him he said that he needed a printed version. I told him the opentable says that I just have to show it to him from my phone. He then said "That's their policy, not ours". I don't know what the opentable policy is if I don't use the credit on this reservation like I planned. I didn't want to lose it so I asked if there was any other way to do it since I clearly could not go print it at that point. I asked if there was an email that I could send it to from my phone. He looked around and said does it look like I have an email here? At this point I was appalled by the way he was handling the situation. He called who I think was the manager out to the table and he was even worse. They way he spoke to me was so incredibly unprofessional. They were speaking to me as if I was some peasant who couldn't pay her bill. When in actuality I could have just paid it and been done but I didnt want the reward to go to waste! They suddenly produced an email for me to send it to which I did. They processed it and came back with the balance of the bill. When he brought it back at my table he said "Here is the balance and the total did not include tip." Obviously! This isnt the first time I've dined out. I worked in the hospitality industry for years. I thought it was extremely rude for him to say that especially when he already seemed to be talking down on us. I paid the bill and still gave the jerk a 20% tip cause thats just the type of person I am. So all in all, food was great but the people were horrible! Oh and btw.... my friend didnt even get a measly "Happy Birthday"
Another amazing meal
Great restaurant and wonderful food.
Pamplemousse is hidden gem just off the strip in Las Vegas. I found Pamplemousse on Open Table some time ago and try to have dinner there when I'm in town. Nice menu, wine list and beer selection. Pamplemousse always impresses!
Great atmosphere and delicious food. A bit pricey for the portions but I would definitely recommend it. A touch of old Vegas is a refreshing option from the chain restaurants.
Food was outstanding. Service was excellent. Value was very affordable. We will return.
Phenomenal restaurant. Food was outstanding. Service was on point. Atmosphere was wonderful. Definitely will be back.
A hidden gem just off the strip...first class dining at an affordable price...highly recommend Pamplemousse - you won't be disappointed.
