Lovely, cozy place away from the hub-bub of Las Vegas' big hotel/casinos. Food and service were both truly excellent.
First visit but for sure, not our last. Had the 5 course meal - so many great choices. All served with charm & wonderful tastes. Reasonable cost for gourmet-level food! We will recommend it FOR SURE!!
A Great place for a quiet evening great food reasonably priced wine with high end choices. This is not a place for Las Vegas Glitz but you used to be a local secret. Originally went there in 1977 with a relative who was a VP at the Dunes. He pointed out to us the table where the heads of St Louis mob and New Jersey mob. In those days it was an incredibly expensive evening. Been there many times over the years and never had less than a great meal. Service was Great.
In a converted old house, the place reeks of European style and grace. The tuxedoed waiters speak in graceous hushed voices as they all jump in to help wherever necessary. They are known for the 5 course meals, which start with a crudite basket of raw veggies and on site made dressing which is the first course. Each service and remove is seamless. The rest of the meal is just as impressive and delightful. Frank Sinatra used to bring his friends there. Each trip to Las Vegas will include a visit to Pamplemousse!
Every time I eat at Pamplemousse I am always impressed with the professional and courteous staff. Coupled with the ambiance and great food it remains a very special place to take my wife for a romantic night out or friends for a quiet night and great meal.
You asked for recommendations to improve Pamplemousse....there are none. It's pretty hard to improve on perfection.
Food is very good. Ambience is retro. Service can be improved.
First time at this old gem of a French restaurant. And close enough to the Westgate to walk (15 min) though after a day of trade showing we cabbed it.
The ambience is quiet and homey. The food is legit French. I chose this French restaurant because it wasn't in a casino and it wasn't named after the chef.
From now on a meal at pamplemousse is going to be part of every trip I take the Vegas.
The selection of 2 price fixed menus and an Al La Cart menu was very inspiring. These offerings provided my wife and I with the opportunity to select a wide variety of special offerings in a four-course meal. In consideration of the selections and the taste of the the dining experience was terrific. Where else could you have a salad platter, Escargot, Chicken Cordon Blue and Profittoros Au Chocolate on one menu. It was a wonder meal and the service was terrific. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
What a wonderful restaurant. The food, the ambiance, the service our waiterJohn and I can't remember the other gentleman's name were great waiters, very professional, the right touch of being friendly but not intrusive. We each had softshell crab for appetizers, yummy. I had the special Boeuf Bourguignon absolutely delicious, my husband had the Duck- loved it and the Grand Marnier soufflé was a real treat. I've seen on a few other posts that the interior décor was "tired" and needed "updating" do not touch a thing it is perfectly French and charming.
Great food and service as always. Waiter John excellent. Our favorite restaurant
in Las Vegas. We're longtime residents. The corporate celebrity chef Strip restaurants
can't compare. Great old Vegas atmosphere.
Far exceeded our expectations. Food was delicious and the portion size was larger than all the French fancy restaurants we have ever had.
It felt like going back in time to the year 1961 in Paris. Charming host Kief made us feel like regulars. The room was intimate, low lighting and pretty.
The menu had so many wonderful choices and the duck, rack of lamb, escargot were cooked to perfection. The grand marnier souflee was amazing.
great cozy atmosphere. Service is excellent. Small but good wine list with very reasonable prices. Start with a great basket of crudites. Soft shelled crab almondine was good. Duck and green beans were excellent. Dessert was soufle and was excellent. Overall very reasonable prices and great service. I plan to return.
My husband and I like to try the fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas that have stood the test of time. Pamplemousse Le Restauarant certainly qualifies. It has been here since 1976, and has had some very famous diners. It has an extensive menu of French food, including 3 tasting menus. We opted for one of those since this was our first time here. That is a great way to sample their recommendations. Since the tasting menus involve 4-5 courses, they asked us if we had somewhere to be after dinner. We didn't, so we were able to take our time, and savor each course. That is the French way, after all! What a beautiful dining experience for our anniversary!
This restaurant has been on our radar for years and we finally decided to try it after a matinee at the Smith Center. We were early for our reservation but that was not a problem as we were the only people there for about 45 minutes. The wine list by the glass is not the most extensive but there were some good choices. We had the price fix 4 course menu. Every table gets a basket of raw veggies with dip and hot French bread with a wonderful olive tapenade. The wild mushroom appetizer was delicious with a hearty beef sauce and asparagus. I had the chicken cordon blue which could have had more cheese and ham. The rice pilaf was just ok. My husband had the streak with frites which he said was wonderful. The best part of the meal was the dark chocolate mousse. We left feeling pleasantly full, not over stuffed as you do in so many Vegas eateries. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. We would go back.
I thought the food exceeded expectations; wild boar was exceptional, duck good not great. Ambiance was very soothing, service top drawer. I would return.
This restaurant was fantastic. We did not get to eat outside but inside was wonderful. It was quiet so we could talk to each other without raising our voices. The prices were very reasonable & the food was awesome. My husband & I have been to France & the food so reminded us of our trip. My sister & her friend had never eaten French food before & they loved the food. This restaurant features a French chef & French staff so the whole experience reminds you of France. All of us highly recommend this place & we will all go back next time we go to Las Vegas. Be sure & order the wild boar; none of us had ever had it before & we all loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you want to escape the Las Vegas glitz and enjoy a gourmet Country French meal in an intimate setting, you should definitely give Pamplemousse Le Restaurant a try. This is an "Old Vegas" experience at its best. Everything about this venue is memorable. We make it a point to dine there on each and every trip to Las Vegas.
Dinner was FABULOUS. They have 4 & 5 course Pre-Fixe dinners. We opted for a la carte. We started with a basket of crudites and yummy bread. Then split puff pastry filled with seafood. My husband had the lamb shank and I had Wild Boar. We both had chocolate souffle. The wine list is limited but very good. And the prices are reasonable. About half what you would pay on the strip. Our a waiter, John, was extremely professional. He is probably the best waiters we've ever had. He guided us through the menu and made recommendations. He let us take our time and he was very personable.
We've been to many restaurants on the strip, include the top restaurants in Bellagio, Wynn and the Venetion. I recommend that you get off the Strip and go to an excellent restaurant that has lovely atmosphere, top wait staff and is reasonably priced.
Always amazing food and the waters are great. I really enjoy bringing people here
Superb country-style french food. Off the Strip for a reason.
Perfect in every way! Highly recommend -- must try the dessert souffle!
Our experience was excellent. Fabulous service-very professional, phenomenal food, & the perfect ambiance.
Super food in this “oldVegas” place. Fab soufflé (chocolate or Grand Mariner) try it.
Great service and great food.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas and a best kept secret. We have been coming here for years and never have been disappointed.
George and his team are the best at hospitality and gourmet food presentation.
If you have never been here you are depriving yourself of the best there is.
After being here for 42 years, you know they understand quality.
Elegant dining combined with great cuisine and service.
Food was light, yet very filling! Service was great and the food was even better. It was the perfect place to spend Valentine's Day.
Went on Valentine’s Day. We had hoped for more. It was a romantic setting. We knew it was old but it really needed updating. Painting and new carpet would make it very nice. The food was disappointing. Soft shell crab appetizer was fishy, covered in sauce so not at all crispy. The asparagus (2 Spears) was put into a puff pastry and covered with sauce—not good! My duck was mixed—the breast dry and tough, the leg very good. We were surprised they only serve wine & beer. The wine list was quite small. Our server was rough around the edges but very nice. It was quiet & you could talk. With some fresh paint and a fresh menu, this could be a good place but you don’t get a sense they see that.
This is our 6th year here for Valentine's day. It has been a tradition and we were beyong disappointed. The besr part their 6 course meal, costing $200+, was the Lobster Bisque and the water. We made the trip from California, a 4 - hr drive every year for this and this will be the last time. Service was slow and chaotic. They served my tasteless lamb with french fries. My wife's filet mignon was also with fries. The creme brule was some sauteed bananas and vannilla ice cream. The salad was bare without thought. The softshell crab appetizer was just horrific. Waste of my money. We should have just gone to a buffet at the Cosmopolitan, or hundreds of other choices in Vegas. I wish their restaurant the best, but they will never see us again!
Just ok. Went there for Valentines Day and they had a special menu, one of the deserts was Creme Brûlée and we ordered it. It turned out to be ice cream with that flavoring. For a French restaurant you think it would be authentic, and at least let the customer know that it was just ice cream. On top of that they billed us for a higher bottle of wine, it was corrected but still it was an inconvenience. Would I go back? Probably not.
I had a craving for some escargot and we were getting close to Valentine's Day so trying a new French restaurant sounded like a great idea. Pamplemousse had the escargot and then some. My wife and I both did the 5 course meal and everything was fantastic.
Outstanding dining experience!!! Can’t believe I’ve been living in Las Vegas for 10 years and tried this restaurant just now! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff, accomodating and food is to die for!!!!! Will be coming back for sure!!!
Loved everything about our dining experience wonderful waiters wonderful food..we are planning on making it a part of our yearly Vegas visit..just sorry it took so long to discover this great restaurant!
This was our first visit and everything was excellent. We took a friend for her Birthday dinner and she loved it. Food, service and atmosphere was excellent for a special occasion or a everyday meal. This will not be our last visit.
As always, everything was great. Special thanks to the chef for preparing beef Wellington in a special way. Every time I go to Las Vegas I try to schedule an evening here. It's very unique and there's nothing like it where I live.
Everything is great, from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, it is always a pleasure to visit Pamplemousse Le Restaurant.
Had a wonderful dining experience and would recommend it in a New York heart beat.
What a lovely evening! The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and the portions were plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie basket; this was a nice bonus to the meal. The lamb shank was AMAZING!!!!!!
