I was seated as soon as I arrived. They explained to first timer how it works. They advises us if we find a meat we like to tell them and enjoy our dinner.

No lamb chops! We were told right when we said we'd be having Rodizio, but since its his fav, that was a disappointment. Long long wait for certain choices, but they were lovely when we finally got them.

This is overpriced for the quality. There is meat, but the spices and flavors are only OK. They do have filet mignon--high cost--but it was a bit dry. The more flavorful meats were the well-spiced chicken and very flavorful (nicely spiced and fattier) cuts of beef. Overall, the pricing was shocking for the quality, but ambience and service were lovely.

Birthday dinner , Tuesday eve calm environment. Red meat was not flavorful, tasted “old”, not tender (2 cuts & chicken were good), sausage & chorizo over cooked & dry.
Delicious large salad bar & tasty cream brûlée. Spit toasted pineapple & fried banana were good together for dessert with out an extra charge,
Fogo De Cao beats this restaurant hands down. I will not be returning.

The server seem more interested in providing service to the table with the ladies and the rest of his tables were kind of neglected. If it wasn't for self service meal, we probably wouldn't have finished dinner within the evening. Also, the churrasco service was slow. Lots of time elapsed between each meat that came out so had to wait a long time.

This place has really good food. Kind of pricey so it's more of a special occasion kind of place. There is plenty of parking across the street. Service is fast and considerate. Will definitely going back on another special occasion.

The experience was terrible start to finish. We arrived and were seated - the ambiance was basically non-existent. We were greeted by our waiter who was nice but extremely casual for the price point of this place.

Long story short - we ended up walking out. After the third instance of the servers slamming their skewers down on the table and splattering meat juice I was thinking I was done.... but then the next waiter came and splattered hot grease all over my wife’s arm, cloths, and the table. The guy didn’t apologize and just chuckled. Our sever came over right as it had happened and smacked the guy on the arm and flicked his ears as punishment. Then our server took the menu that was now grease soaked on the table and wiped it on the meat servers pants and put it back on the table.

If this wasn’t bad enough they were “on the ready” to offer dry cleaning services.... like this had happened before.... a lot.

Never again.

Tasty food,beautiful setting, inconsistent service. Waiter who took our order lovely, water/bread/new plate staff attentive, waiters for meat often missed/skipped tables, avoided our entire side of restaurant, grumpy. Frustrating that when asked for certain cut those waiters would ignore/forget. If can fix this issue then would give 4+ stars!

Our experience was disappointing. We barely saw our server. Plates sat around. Drinks ran empty.

They claim to be a great destination for special events—even had an ad on the table—but gave no acknowledgement that one of our party had a birthday.

The salad bar was tired, especially the hot food. Some items were cold. There were just a few black beans at the bottom of the pot.

Polenta on the table was cold and dry. There was never an offer for more bread or plantains.

Meat was good, although inconsistent. 2nd serving of some items were very different from the first.

Overall it was pretty good (except the service) but not for the price they’re charging.

Let me start off by saying "buffet" style dining is not preferred. The food is OK but @$58/per person, unless you gorge yourself, I don't see the "value". The pace is too fast for me. They keep coming at your with all sorts of things. If you like over-eating then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a relaxed night out and dining on something special that you don't cook at home, don't go here.

We came here for my son's 18th birthday. The salad bar has much than just veggies and greens, and was terrific. And the variety of meats served table-side was delicious. The service staff was very attentive and friendly, and they sang "happy birthday" (much to my son's embarrassment) and provided a nice little dessert and candle. Overall, we had an excellent time and will look forward to a return visit.

I have been to Pampas multiple times! Meat quality and services have decreased dramatically! I don’t think I will go back to this restaurant! Me and my family are very disappointing with the food quality and the service!

If you are a meat eater, then this is the place for you. Although they do have a killer salad bar as well. And the wait staff was very friendly.

Dinner for nephew turning 21. Menu not same as advertised, neither the Rodizio nor dessert. Service marginal. Could not get waiter in order to get a cocktail. Finished with “Keoke “ coffee which was not what was advertised. It was simply tepid coffee with a shot of brandy. The 1/2 & 1/2 was 2%. Dinner for 3 nearly $300. Never again.

We came here to celebrate Stanford graduation and Father’s Day. It was meant to be a special occasion. Unfortunately despite the restaurant being full, there was not adequate staffing. Multiple tables I noticed had multiple complaints. I asked for a second cocktail, and it did not arrive until the end of the meal 40 minutes later. In addition although I don’t think it was intentional, I was billed for an extra drink, and was additionally billed for a full service Meat meal for one of us that only wanted the salad and sides. She actually wanted a fish meal al la carte listed on the menu, but they were not allowing al la carte menu items perhaps due to the limited staff. To the manager's credit he did correct the bill after I brought it to his attention. Overall the food was good not great. For the price paid, I’ve had several better meals at other Brazilian steakhouses with far better service!

Non stop meat carousel! Best Brazilian restaurant we’ve been so far... great staff and appreciate that the manager was going around to check on the diners. We were celebrating father’s day so my husband was on meat comatose =) A little pricey but worth it for a great celebration and special occasion!

Came here for fathers day. There are 8 of us with 2 children. Good ambience, great food and wait staff are friendly and gave great service. Would definitely recommend.

I would be more likely to go back for slightly less special occasions if the wine list had one or two cheaper reds. I think the cheapest was just under 50. Something closer to 30-35 might make sense.
Still, it's a fantastic experience and I have already recommended it to several people. The food and service are both outstanding. Without a doubt one of the most memorable meals of my life.

Our very first experience with Pampas for hubby’s birthday was excellent! All the servers were attentive and the ambience was great! So when Father’s Day came around, hubby and I decided to treat my dad here. We had the same server that we did our first time so we were happy. But our second experience was nowhere near our first one; in fact, it was the exact opposite. First off, we when the meats started coming out, the servers(?) would head straight to this table with a group of at least 12. More often than not, there’s no more meat to go around the other tables because that group had finished it. It wouldn’t have been upsetting had the servers come around after getting more meat. But nope! It still took them a while to come back. Second, when we flagged our server to request different meats, no one came to our table. Mind you, we’ve only had two different meats and I wanted my dad to try them all. Third, we’ve asked four times to try the picanha and the tritip; again, four times!! When the request finally came to our table (because again, the servers went straight to that big group!), we were all frustrated and had lost our appetite. Fourth, our server only checked up on us towards the tail-end. Every time I’m about to call him, he goes aboutface and goes the opposite direction, leaving me the feeling that he was avoiding our table.

Would we go back to this establishment? Not in the near future. And if we do go back, it won’t be during any of the holidays/festivities. I was upset because my father didn’t get to enjoy this restaurant as much as hubby and I did.

Staff was excellent. The manager Basil treated us with such courtesy and respect, he made us feel very welcome, he was awesome!

Had to ask several times to get food, they kept pushing the low end food and did jot serve the higher end one, food was overall lot that tasty, they might have. Even shirt on staff and service was so-so, would nit go back

I have no idea how this place has such good reviews. We were one of three small groups in the restaurant, so quiet is an understatement. There were many items on the salad bar, but the majority of them were either bland or just did not taste good. The salad dressings tasted artificial rather than fresh, there were a few types of cheese, but no fresh bread to go with it, and the other salads (potato salad, tabbouleh, and pasta salad) just did not taste good. The meats were also equally underwhelming. The filet actually tasted like it had been boiled, and the "house special" was very game-y. The worst part was getting the bill--to have to pay so much for food that was so terrible. The value is definitely not there. Give this one a pass, and head elsewhere.

The food is always a lovely experience. The service was good but not at top notch as in the past. The ambiance was horrific. The party next to us began allowing their under 5 year olds to run circles around the tables. Bumping into our chairs and more seriously - running into the servers with skewers and knives. Not a good situation. it did not appear that the management or the parents were willing to stop for safety or the courtesy of allowing other diners to enjoy their meal. For a $300+ dinner, we expect a little more class. Not sure when we will be back.

If you are a dedicated carnivore, and you want a fun, casual family/group meal— this is THE place for you. Salad bar with sides was really top notch, and would be a terrific meal by itself. But, the meats, baby, the meats. Meats were delicious. Prepared very, very well. Don’t pass on the grilled fresh pineapple after your feast... good for digestion and tasty, tasty, tasty. (One complaint, though, is that the beef filet was well done. Who eats well done filet?) Overall, a fun celebratory dinner with great food and stellar service.

Great restaurant for a business dinner. Reserving on Open Table made it so easy to do the same day as the event when plans changed. Pampas has something for everyone with any type of diet really from meat, to seafood, to vegetarian options, do not miss a nice night out here. Definitely save your stomach if your going to get the unlimited oh and also your money because it can be expensive!

Excelente ubicación. Justo frente a la parada del tren. A unos metros de la universidad de Stanford. Buena barra de ensaladas y muy buenos cortes.
