I've dined at steakhouses not only in the States but abroad. We have lived in the Alpharetta area since 1999 and roughly 7 mins from Pampas but never dined there because of the mixed reviews we received by word of mouth. Well, I now know why. Sharon was our server and she was pleasant and knowledgeable. It was my wifes birthday and unfortunately it was bad, but can't say I was that surprised because we were warned. Bottom line the server recommended a sauce for her filet only to be very bad and non-edible. The server was very apologetic (like over 10 times) and went further to say this has never happened before and when she brought it back to the chef he tasted the sauce and said you are right its horrible.......really, how the heck did it make it out of the kitchen with out someone tasting the sauce? Not to mention I had to eat my steak which was good but I had to eat alone. My wifes steak did not come out until well after I finished my meal. WOW! again more apologies from Sharon. The manager nor GM never came to our table.....Hmmmmm. Sharon brought out the birthday brownie with icecream with a little candle and said this is on the house......really?, we were going to get the free desert anyway. If Pampas was so sorry....and knew this was our first dining experience at Pampas, the right thing would have been to remove my wifes steak from the bill and take my steak away before I started eating it, and bring it back so my wife and I could eat together for her birthday. Again, I now know why (based on feedback from friends and strangers over the last 7+ years) why we never dined at Pampas. So disappointing. I really hope this gets posted to help you guys somehow do a better job on the next couple that dines at Pampas, especially a mature couple that has never been to Pampas. And for the record, my wife is a Doctor and I'm in the NFL. I screwed up and should have gone back to Hals downtown.
We go to Pampas every year for my birthday. Best steaks in town. And they make bananas foster tableside !!
We took our daughter to brunch here for her birthday. She had a wonderful time. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with any question we had about the menu. We were not disappointed! We have been here for dinner but never for the brunch. The quality was just as good in the morning as it is at night.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday and found the meal and atmosphere to be fantastic. Lisa was our server and she did an excellent job. The wine was great as well.
Brought my date here a 2nd time. First time ruined by a baby at the next table that cried for 90 minutes. We came back for great meat and what we hoped would be better date night atmosphere. Instead seated next to a table of 7 coeds and what I hope was their male team coach. So loud, so noisy, we could have had a quieter dinner in a bus station.
Food great, service great, atmosphere more suited to a stadium. Staff appears powerless to quiet noisy diners. We won’t go back, and we spent north of $100 each.
First time we have been and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere, service, and food was amazing. Wish we would have come sooner we will definitely be back.
Always love going to Pampas! Wine selection is very good and the pay attention to detail. Presentation is one of the best in atl!
Pampas never disappoints. A little on the pricey side but well worth it!
Server accommodated our Spanish speaking friend
Excellent steak, well prepared and presented.
Vegetables - potatoes- need some quality recipes worthy to accompany steak.
Service was spectacular. Food was good but not amazing; could have been my choice. Would definitely go back.
Great food and great service ! Lisa made our night. We didn’t have to ask for anything. Best steaks in the city.
Great place great food
Great place to enjoy Valentine's Day with my wife. Staff were very courteous and professional at all times. Steaks were perfect!
the food , ambiance, restaurant and wait staff were the best. Marvelous for a special occasion or just a wonderful meal
This place was definitely the right spot for a nice quiet dinner. The waitress was fantastic and even when she was not available someone always came and checked on us. The food was awsome. I had the salmon and it melted in my mouth.
Nice place but felt like we were shifted to the back area. We walked through an area with great atmosphere to a room with no atmosphere, white walls and elevator music. We even offered to wait past our reservation time to be seated in the general dining room. We were told they could not move us- they were too busy. My filet was great- cooked perfectly. My husband had a bone in ribeye that was more fat than he was used to in other steakhouses. We would try again- and hopefully get to experience the great ambiance that we saw.
Our waitress was attentive in every way. She was great explaining all of the options. We enjoyed our visit very much and will definitely attend. I believe the best steak I’ve had in Atlanta.
Outstanding service and food, 5Star!❤️👍🤗
First time at Pampas. Received a gift card from our RE agent after sale of home.
The food was excellent as well as drinks. Fortunately Wednesday is 1/2 price wine bottles. Our server, Sue, was very good and made the first visit easy. We will be back again.
