It had been quite some time since any members of our group had been there (2-4 years), so perhaps our collective "memory-bar" was set too high for our return. On a positive note, the service staff & atmosphere made things comfortable & inviting. However, with the exception of the main courses (steaks, etc.), the other foodie selections left us remarkably underwhelmed and resulted in our uniform disappointment. None of the extras were exceptional, most notably the sausages (which each of us had recalled as being "beyond compare" based on prior visits).

The reviews for Pampas are always outstanding, so perhaps we just had a bad night, but in spending well over $100/person, one generally expects to feel more satisfied with their experience. Certainly, the concept of "value" disappears from the conversation.

My wife and I have been here several times. I don’t think people realize that you don’t need to trek into the city for an outstanding steak and inviting experience that is consistent at this restaurant. We highly recommend the bone-in filet!

I have dined at Pampas many times and they never disappoint! Great food and great service! Our waitress, Agnes, was very attentive, but not intrusive. We were celebrating a friends promotion and Agnes did a wonderful job making her feel special! Looking forward to our next visit.

As always, the food, service, and ambience were fantastic! We go to Pampas about every other month and have never been disappointed! Every meal is worth the drive and the staff takes excellent care of you!!! I believe this is the best steak house in Atlanta.

This was the third time I have eaten at Pampas. Every time, I have had the same experience. The food is exceptionally well prepared and thoroughly delicious. And then there is the wait time between courses. It is consistently very long waits between courses. Bring a book like "War and Peace" to occupy your time

My wife and I were very much looking forward to going to the Pampas steakhouse. Ordered the fried seafood appetizer and it was underwhelming. No Crisp or crunch to the calamari, shrimp, or scallops. And the flavor was non existent. Marinara it came with wasn’t great either. Caprese was good. Steaks were good but my wife ordered her bone in filet rare and it was Medium. Couple of glasses of wine that were good but at $217 (with tip) this meal wasn’t anywhere close to what we were hoping for.

Service is much better at Rathburn’s and at Frankie’s. For the $125/person I spent I would have expected more professional service.

Chose Pampas after seeing that they are rated at the top for steakhouses in Atlanta. Should have gone to Bone's instead. Party of five for a special birthday. Waited for 1 1/2 hours for our food with a 7:15 reservation on a Tuesday night. Food arrived at 8:45. Two of the three pricey steaks ordered were overcooked. When I complained I was informed that they would cook me another but it would be 15 more minutes. One of us decided to eat his overcooked steak because he didn't want to wait any longer. On the positive side, the manager came by and when my husband said to him, "Do you think it's acceptable to serve overcooked steaks to your guests after they have had to wait 1 1/2 hours for food?" He responded the right way and comped the two steaks and brought out additional sides for mine when I finally got my meal. Three hour dinner.

Excellent as usual. We can always know that we are going to get quality food with a lot of options when visiting Pampas. The only complaint, and it could have just been that they were busy, was that the service was not attentive as it has been in the past. Other than that always out go to place for a nice meal.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Pampas. The restaurant is very attractive and the wait staff was excellent and accommodating. My steak was delicious, tender, free if griddle, and the perfect temperature. The sides were inventive and different from many other restaurants. We were delightfully surprised by a parting gift of their amazing muffins. What a great experience . We will be back!

Easter Buffet was fantastic. Have eaten here several times and always top notch so decided to try the special buffet . It did not disappoint. They truly had a wonderful assortment of dishes that did not taste at all like typical buffet food. Everything from lamp chops to lobster tails, shrimp , Prime rib to omelet station it was a first class experience. Service was very good as well

Bone in ribeye was bland. Their “most flavorful” steak had no flavor and came out very rare when orders mid rare. I’ve been here a dozen times and I’ll go back because I usually rate this place with 5 stars but this time sucked.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Argentinian flair on the food, especially the aged steaks is fantastic. My favorite is the Brick Filet - literally shaped like a brick. Huge flavors from the wood fire grill. Portions are huge, so bring an appetite. Great wine and liquor list. Good selection of bourbons, including Pappy Van Winkle if you dare. ....and yes, they even have a bone in filet and a tomahawk ribeye.

If you are in a mood for a steak and you don't want to travel to Buckhead or downtown , this is your place . Great restaurant in Jones Creek . Nice atmosphere , the bartender mixed an awesome dirty martini and steak was so delicious . We ordered the trio desert and that was really good as well . I miss the fresh berries in grand marnier , hopefully they add it back to the menu .

Having a reservation, we were sat right away which surprised me given it’s a Saturday evening. This was our first time to Pampas and we were not disappointed. The empanadas appetizer was delicious. Some of the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had- however it was extremely hot when it came to the table. As for main course, I had the Delmonico Ribeye and my wife had the bone-in filet both of us had the truffle butter topping. We we’re both very happy with our steaks. For sides, we had the Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes. We agreed this is hands down one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We will be back to Pampas for sure!

Enjoyed this for my husband's birthday/ He is incredibly picky with steak but was impressed by the Tomahawk steak special (it was huge) and very well cooked. I had the bone in Filet that was perfectly cooked and nicely flavored. Sides were delicious; the gnocchi was a standout!

I could not believe how large this restaurant was! Our server, Rick, was so knowledgeable and friendly. He brought out all of the different cuts of steak and explained all of them, which location they came from, the marbeling, etc. Great food, and a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

5 Star price, 1 star service

Made reservations for early dinner with the family, 5pm Sunday, only one other table with patrons in the whole place, we’re golden. Put our order in, 3 steaks and two sides, we know the waiter got the order as we all talked about how big the fully loaded potatoes were. Food comes out, steaks cooked to perfection, one side. Point out the missing side and the waiter immediately heads out. 10 minutes later I am flagging the hostess for pepper (none on the tables) 20 minutes later our waiter finally appears again with side after the family is done with their steaks

I point out my dissatisfaction with the tardiness of the side and the bill comes out with the $9 side (probably cost them $2 to put it on the table). Waite staff seems more interested in keeping up the tip value than customer service.

My recommendation, take the family to Longhorn, put the same order in and if you get the same crappy service then you only paid half as much!

A fabulous experience. Great atmosphere and unbelievably good steaks. Love the preview of tonight’s steaks. I had a bone in Delmonico cut that was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Owen, was attentive but never hovering- just there at the right moment. I told him I love a hearty red wine with my steak and his suggestion was spot on. We will most definitely go again.
