Pampas Argentine Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Made reservations and they put us in the side room in the corner! The ceiling is falling down in that area and I get to see a lovely view of the staff since we were put so far away. I can’t believe with making reservations that I would get a terrible seat. This was my first time there and already not impressed. So while I got to just see a wall that has bathroom tile on it what you would see in a bathroom we ordered a bottle of wine which was really good. But they took our wine cork which was upsetting that they did not ask if we would like to keep it. Ordered an appetizer and it was very good. Next the food came and my steak was over cooked. I ordered medium and it can out medium well. The sides were good though. Have to give it up to the bartender as the cocktails were amazing. After finishing everything we then waited 20 minutes before we had to actually ask for our check. The food was good but I was not impressed at all. I’m really not sure if I would recommend this place or come back. Maybe if I could have enjoyed the ambiance of the environment and not getting placed in a corner in a side room. Just some feedback to think about this place when you go. We were looking at going to Bones but we chose Pampas since it was closer by. For a first time impression I was not impressed.
Food was ordered rare, but came out over cooked. Waited over 1 hour for the food to be brought to the table. Definitely not an “Authentic” Argentinian restaraunt. It was more of a chain restaurant feeling.
I️ would say the presentation and the atmosphere was excellent. Our server went above and beyond with explaining the menu to us(Big Group). Kudos to him, if it weren’t for his service the rating would’ve been much less.
We had a great experience! It was my 35th birthday and my wife said to pick the place I wanted to go. I knew I wanted a steak and I wanted to try something new and not a chain. We had a great time! Owen was our server and he was incredible! Totally made the night from the get-go! He was so enthusiastic and accommodating! He truly took care of us. Thank you! I’ve never had the cuts brought to the table before but it was awesome to be able to see the description visually as he told us about them. Our food was delicious, very well cooked and they even took us back for a tour of the grill area and a birthday dessert. It was a great evening! I’m glad we took a risk. We definitely recommend Pampas! Thank you!
live music that night and the crowd was very loud to talk over the music. Although I was as far away from the music as you could be, the crowd noise was so intense my wife and I could not really talk across the table. The waiters were having to almost yell when taking orders.
My baked potato was under cooked and not hot.
I assume a night without the live music might not be as bad.
One big room full of very loud people.... not much romance or ambiance
A colleague and I were in town for a golf outing the following day. It was 6:30 pm when we arrived at the hotel & I asked for a restaraunt recommendation for steak, Pampas was given. I got into the room checked it out on OpenTable, made a reservation for later. We arrived & I was very happy with the choice. Great scotch menu & some very special cuts of meat. If you like steak go here, this place is in my top 10 & could be top 5 after another visit like this one. Great staff, very attentive, but not annoying.
I LOVE Pampas. I've been 4 times now. Service is awesome, food is on point. The meal I had this time lacked presentation, but it was delicious. The bacon-wrapped asparagus on top of the crab looked sloppy with the sauce on it. The bartender was super friendly.
From the moment we walked in we felt welcome by the hostesses and wait staff. Su gave us fantastic service on our first Pampas experience. We started off with the beef and portobello carpaccio along with the lamb lollipop appetizer feature. For our entree I had the bone in ribeye and it was amazing. Thank you and we'll be back!
We have been going to Pampas for years now, and it's always been one of favorite restaurants. However, our visit on Tuesday evening was very disappointing. We were celebrating a milestone birthday. We requested a table in a quieter section of the restaurant, but this was a mistake -- because we were forgotten by the wait staff. The food was good -- but it was a very expensive dinner, and we expected better. It will be a while before we go back.
