Pampas Argentine Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We took our daughter to brunch here for her birthday. She had a wonderful time. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with any question we had about the menu. We were not disappointed! We have been here for dinner but never for the brunch. The quality was just as good in the morning as it is at night.
Brought my date here a 2nd time. First time ruined by a baby at the next table that cried for 90 minutes. We came back for great meat and what we hoped would be better date night atmosphere. Instead seated next to a table of 7 coeds and what I hope was their male team coach. So loud, so noisy, we could have had a quieter dinner in a bus station.
Food great, service great, atmosphere more suited to a stadium. Staff appears powerless to quiet noisy diners. We won’t go back, and we spent north of $100 each.
Nice place but felt like we were shifted to the back area. We walked through an area with great atmosphere to a room with no atmosphere, white walls and elevator music. We even offered to wait past our reservation time to be seated in the general dining room. We were told they could not move us- they were too busy. My filet was great- cooked perfectly. My husband had a bone in ribeye that was more fat than he was used to in other steakhouses. We would try again- and hopefully get to experience the great ambiance that we saw.
A wonderful experience. Interior design was different, but a good different. Food was outstanding. Service was great. There was music coming from the bar area, but that didn’t bother me. The only bad thing was some fella that bathed in his cologne / after shave. This wasn’t the restaurants issue though.
While the service and ambiance were excellent, the food was overpriced and terrible. Our bill total for two people came close to $300. It was one of the most expensive meals my husband and I have ever eaten. We would have been fine with the price if the food had measured up to what we paid. Instead, we received flavorless steaks and mediocre side dishes. Even worse, both my husband and I had severe indigestion and nausea after the meal. Hard to believe we paid $300 to have a miserable experience that stayed with us long after the meal ended.
Overpriced, noisy, uninspired menu. Tables are closely situated leaving little to the imagination regarding other diners conversations. Although our waiter was best yet than most, the shortcomings of the ambiance, the extremely average menu and the NYC prices leave this establishment lacking.
We used to go all the time years ago and it was amazing. This was horrible and we definitely won’t go back. Two steaks were wrong, one salad and one crab cake app was wrong and nobody said a word or did anything about it. Very disappointing. We also called earlier that day to see what kind of table we would be at and we’re told a large round. When we arrived we were in a back room at a pop up card table.
As always the meal was exceptional. The Brick is a tasty cut and a friend and I split this item which along with sides was a good portion. Restaurant was hopping this night and service was exceptional especially considering the number of people enjoying the evening at.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. It was by far hands down one of the best dining experiences that we have had. The service was excellent, thank you Sharon for being so personable as well as the manager coming to check in on us. The food was fabulous, presentation informative and atmosphere beautiful!! My husband had the "brick" steak, lobster macaroni and I the Chilean Sea Bass. We would absolutely recommend Pampas to all our friends and family. Can't wait to visit again.
Very nice looking and comfortable.
Overall based on my experience of fine dining across the country, the food was ok, way overpriced, not worth the money. Filet was ordered med rare, brought to table rare and cold in middle. Shrimp in pasta were very tough and pasta and sauce were nothing special. The rack of lamb was good, nothing special.. The side dishes were good. Service was subpar for a fine dining establishment. Expected more for the money spent.
