Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse Edmonton Downtown Ratings and Reviews
Our group was disappointed that, because we were a party of 8, it was mandatory that we all get the holiday lunch special for $30.99. When the reservation was made, their was no mention of this on their home page as the lunch menu was checked to see what type of options would be available for everyone (eventually we found it under Upcoming events & promotions when the manager insisted it was on the website. This is not where one would look when booking a luncheon for co-workers). They indicated that this was due to the volume of large parties during the holiday season, however when we went the restaurant was only 1/2 full. Unfortunately, because we found out about this mandatory option the evening before our lunch, it was too late to change our reservation to another restaurant. Our party felt their should have been a couple of other smaller menu items for patrons, as over half our party only had 3 out of the 6 meat options available and they only had one trip to the salad bar. Definitely not worth what we paid for.
We've dined here many times but something was different this time....the salad bar was great as usual....,but Pampa is about the meat. My daughter and son-in-law dined here recently as well and after asking how their meal is, both said "It's been better". We all agreed that the new bacon on the bacon-wrapped chicken doesn't work. Pampa - have you changed chefs?
We had a great experience at Pampa's. Service was very good, attentive to our needs, but not intrusive. All the foods were of the finestt quality and presentation was excellent! I will return many times with old and new guests. One of my favourite spots to bring people for their first time. Their reactions have always been amazing!
Everything was exceptional especially the salad bar and the meats that came around the only thing was my desert I didn't say anything but there was chunks in it and other time I had it it was a smooth pudding which was delicious the first time this second time it didn't quite have the same flavor plus the chunks in there was not sure what it was but I didn't want to say to ruin the experience of the others.
The setting at the table included a butter knife with which we could just cut some of the beef selections including bacon wrapped beef and sirloin, ( the lamb was excellent once we asked for it).
The occasion was a birthday but that was never mentioned by server, so have no idea why the question was asked.
We had won the gift cards and so we did not have to pay the $50 each, just one drink each and gratuity thankfully feel that was all the experience was worth.
I would not be in a position to recommend the restaurant or likely return our selves.
Kuda, one of the meat servers was the only shining star of the evening.
Food was awesome! Waitress was a bit slow in getting us our drinks and we never did get refills. Salad bar line was very long and people were confused where to line up. Our waitress went out for a cigarette prior to bringing us our drinks and the smell was very strong and noticed by all at our table. Restaurant was very noisy and it was very hard to talk but we did go on a Saturday night so I guess that is to be expected. We were there for my husbands birthday and the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. Everyone said no because we were too full of all the great food. She came back with a little plate saying Happy Birthday in chocolate icing and some little chocolates and a candle. Nice Touch!! And just perfect! She said she couldn't let us leave without acknowledging his birthday with a little something sweet :) We will definitely be back again, but maybe not on a Saturday night. Thank you!
food is amazing, I like the cheese bread a lot. Me and my husband come to your restaurant for special occasion. I like my meat without blood. So kinda like well done but not burnt. One of the guy come to our table for the meat didn’t offer me to come back for well done meat. It’s not big deal but I will very much appreciated if he offers it. Like they used to do when we go for dinner. But overall I like the food and service.
Wonderful atmosphere an very attentive staff. Had a great variety of dishes and meat. We had to ask to be served some differ types of meat, as they kept bringing the same (shrimp an beef kewers). Good value as you do not ealize how much food you ae consuming or a house period. Would definitely go back again.
Extremely disappointed with the service this time around at Pampa, from beginning to end, service was not what I had expected from this restaurant. Food was not the best either , at least not for the price you pay, salty, chewy, and waiters and servers need to know their cut and what kind of meat they are serving. All and all a terrible experience! Would not be coming back!
There are lots of choices of food! Lots of choices of red meat, chicken (dark meat), but if you like different types of salads and types of bread, which are are great to try. There are also lots of salads to choose from. Everything is labelled as to what is in it. I was glad of that as I cannot eat certain things. I found that very helpful!
We have gone to this location many tines before. The food is always outstanding. This time, the service was lacking a bit, as my drink had been done for over half of the meal, and the water I had asked for never came. It was louder, and much busier than I had seen it, due to large amount of Christmas parties there. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone I know. The food never disappoints, and it really is a great experience.
The food was good although it felt a little hit and miss. Sometimes a meat would come around and be amazing, then the same cut would
Come around again and be overcooked. I recommend going when it's busy so that the options stay fresh. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and considerate and very knowledgeable on the wine, food and after dinner drinks and desserts.
We have had the pleasure of dining at Pampas many times. From the service to the food, it is all top notch. They also have a fantastic wine menu as well as nany other spirits and children’s drinks.I would most definitely recommend Pampas to anyone that would like to have a great dining experience.
Fantastic service, my water glass was never empty, and the servers were extremely prompt when the tags were visible for the meat.
We frequently come to Pampa's for birthday dinners and every time the service, the food and the atmosphere is purely fantastic.
Would happily go again.
This is the third time that I've been to this restaurant and each time it had not failed to impress me. Is it was the first time I had the dessert on the 3rd visit and I was totally impressed best dessert ever and I had a taste of my friends also and hers was just as good but of course mine was the best on the advice of one of your servers. I'm sure you're going to be seeing me again in the near future.
Don't get me wrong the food was very good, the wait staff was very attentive. The salad bar was wonderful, I miss the marinated Mango. We had a problem with the shrimp in the beginning, was way to salty, but it was corrected right away. But I wanted just a regular orange pekoe type of tea...I was surprised that they didn't carry any. This is a high end restaurant that should have, I think, something that most tea drinkers would want. The waitress was quick to suggest some of the other teas they carried. I did choose one but didn't like it. Anyway like I said the food was good but they should have regular tea in case there customers request it.
