Palomino - Seattle Ratings and Reviews
Palomino's in Seattle never disappoints. We consistently receive outstanding service. Paul was our waiter who goes above and beyond to make your dinner a pleasant experience, and when our salmon was slightly overcooked, Marcy, the manager, made sure to fix it even though I insisted it was fine. The Crispy Caprese salad and the donuts are reasons alone to go! I highly recommend.
The calamari appetizer was mostly fried breaded zucchini. Maybe only 30% calamari!
The salted prime rib was really really salty. The steak knife was dull.
Our waitress was great. The ambience was good though for our dinner after watching the Star Wars movie. But overall I don’t feel it’s worth the money we paid.
We could not imagine a more perfect anniversary dinner! The food was exceptional, and the ambiance perfect, but our server Taura went above and beyond for us! She knew the menu inside and out both for food and wine. My wife asked for a gluten free pizza crust and Taura paid special attention to every item we ordered and let my wife know if there was gluten in any items. We both asked about a few wines and she brought us samples of each. She perfectly described the wines we inquired about as well! We were treated as if we were the most important table in the restaurant, despite every table being occupied. I mentioned it was our anniversary at the reservation and we were met with a signed card, and treated to a dessert(which Taura ensured was gluten free!) Overall, just an amazing experience.
Disappointing experience. Food wasnt cooked to our order. Seafood dish had to be sent back. Salmon was not what we were led to expect. Best if u order the burgers Conflict in the kitchen spilled out into the dinning room with a staff yelling at another f you b. Staff retorted back f you. Management was no where present. Not the atmosphere or meal we were counting on for christmas tradition dinner. Out waiter was good. Sorry he is stuck with this group. Over priced for what we received. Wont be back.
We had a great lunch at Palomino Christmas week. First we started with the Crab & Artichoke Dip. Really tasty! Good for 2-3 people to share but its pretty yummy so order a couple for a larger group. I had the calamari appetizer too, and it was a little bland. Could have used more seasoning in the batter. My mom had the PAPPARDELLE & MARSALA CREAM - which she loved. Very creamy and mushroomy. One of my sons had the CHICKEN MARSALA, which was a chicken breast by itself with good flavor and then a side of spaghetti. Not the traditional preparation but was very flavorful. My husband had TURKEY, BACON AND BLUE CHEESE PANINI and he said it was delicious. My other son had a pepperoni personal pizza and he liked it a lot. So everyone was pretty happy. Ambiance is very nice and would be great for a business lunch. Probably not a great place to take infants or small kids.....
Had a great dinner as always. The sea scallop and lamb shank entrees were prepared to perfection. The salads were superb as well - the Ceasar came with anchovies (as it should). We always ask for a table in Eric's section, as he is without question the Gold Standard in waitstaff.
I have eaten here many times but this was first time for food before a Sunday theater matinee. A very bad choice because the menu is extremely limited. I should have checked before. No brunch or breakfast type options and very limited lunch choices - all large and expensive. Ok for dinner but nothing else.
There’s a good reason Palominos has been around Seattle’s restaurant scene for awhile! As soon as you enter the hosts are smiling and friendly. And, our excellent server “Eric” was personable, efficient, and attentive! We had the special that evening, lamb shanks, with a bottle of Pinot noir which was perfect! Hats off to the EC & kitchen.
