The service was terrible. Our waiter was rude and and objected to all of our requests.
The staff needs to be much more attentive to their guests. Tables are not greeted and the busing staff does not clear dirty tables in a timely fashion. The restaurant has gone down hill.
Food was excellent snd our waiter was extremely good. Service in the dining room just right. However, service in the bar was horrible. We waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks order to appear. We will never have a drink there again. Plus, drink prices were not reasonable. Very disappointing.
The manager Tina is a disaster. She poorly manages her servers and demeans them in front of guests.
The waitstaff was under pressure since not all of them showed up on this day. The service was slow, but everything else was great!
I really wonder how Palomino stays in business. I haven’t been there very frequently, but always find the food to be mediocre. This time, the service was too. There is nothing special about this dated place.
Celebrating a Birthday. Everyone was very attentive. We got seated at great table with a wonderful view. The food was delicious and we all had a great time, will be back!
Beautiful restsurant! Warmly greeted when we walked in on Sunday morning for brunch. Excellent service. Nice varied menu. Delicious food and drinks! Next time we're in the city, we will be back#
Extremely disappointing! We use to go there and enjoyed our meal. Last Wednesday, it was terrible. Our Petrale sole and swordfish was very dry! The dishes were awful including the sides. The waiter even forgot our salad and brought our entrees. He had to go back and get the salad.
We had to wait a long time for our drinks.
The worse part was a person in our party got sick from the food and was up all night. It was a terrific experience. Will not go back.
Very poorly trained staff. Waiter spilled coffee all over an art catalog on the table. Did not Say anything. Disappeared for 2 minutes and came back with a rag. Not a word said Table was grimy beautiful marble. Food very mediocre. Not the place to go.
The service started out strong but petered out. Took our plates too early and forgot to put in one of our entree’s. Love the patio seating.

Based on this past visit, the Palomino experience was quite ordinary and unremarkable to celebrate our 30th anniversary. In the past the restaurant has been exceptional.
Our recent experience was rather mundane and disappointing.
My companions like their salads, but my husband and I had the eggs benedict. It was not even served on an English muffin, but on brioche. That was okay, but the fact that the eggs were badly overcooked was not. They also skimped on the hollandaise sauce. Other than that it was just okay.
The service was a disaster. There were very few people at the restaurant when we went, yet we waited more than 20 minutes for drinks and finally had to get up and ask for a waiter to bring us a menu. 20 minutes later we still didn't have drinks and still didn't have an order placed. It was a complete train wreck. Again, there was no one inside the restaurant and only four or five tables out on the patio. No excuses!
We hit it at a time when the restaurant was not very busy. Good food and a very pleasant visit with our nephew who was in town. The staff was attentive.
Service wonderful, server outstanding, dining room lovely. Food was great for brunch!

Terrible place to go for eating, disordered service was terrible, the food too greasy and not worthy doe the price, in general the look of the place is oldie, in not really good shape, you could see the mess when you enter and just scattered, too pricey for such a regular greasy food, not worth at all
They told us they could make a change to customize one of the menu items to be what my partner wanted, but then it wasn’t as they described, and it kind of ruined the evening. And my food didn’t taste all that good. Very disappointing for a restaurant I’ve always really liked.

They were slammed so I understand the slow service. It was half off on all bottles of wine so that was great. I ordered the short rib and it was delicious but incredibly small, and priced at $29, so it was a rip off. My wife had the grilled salmon and enjoyed it. Once our waiter had time to serve us, he was great.

This is now our go-to restaurant in the city - the view, the food, the service: all thumbs up! Esp love that they welcome families with kids.
One minor issue: on our first visit here, I lost my black cardigan. I took it off when we were seated and had already started our meal. I believe that when the crew cleaned up, my cardigan got mixed in with the black napkins that were on the seat (we had kids and some of the napkins had fallen onto the seat). I asked the staff to check around that same night. No luck. I asked again on our next visit, a month after. Still no luck.

Once again had a lovely meal. We had the Calamari Misto it was delicious. My daughter had the Blue Cheese salad it was huge, my friend had the Burger with Blue cheese salad as her side, I had the ChopChop Salad it too was huge and delicious. We all loved our meal, oh and the best Bloody Mary. Our server was great our water glasses were always full.

Haven't been to this restaurant for over 5 years for work related lunch. Food and service was better then. It's all downhill from here. Food and service needs lots of work. Not returning.

Food was great but service was really bad...slow from the get go, messed up our drinks and took 2 servers 5 different times before we got appetizers. Even longer for entrees. And the place was only a third full at best.
Food is terrible and overpriced but the view is good.

Palomino has been a favorite of ours for over 20 years because of its great service, food and location. However, today was a complete surprise - it was awful. We showed up on time for our 1pm reservation for 4 people. We were seated outside and given menus and then we waited... Finally, one of our party went in and reminded them that we were there, after which someone brought 3 glasses of water (for 4 people) and took our orders for drinks (2 coffees, 1 club soda and one glass of Roederer champagne) and food. Again, we waited. Again, one of us went inside to inquire about our orders. Again, we waited. Finally someone brought out the coffees, the club soda and set down a glass and announced "Champagne." We pointed out that there were no bubbles, at which point he said "Chardonnay" and took away the glass. I don't recall him apologizing. Again, we waited for food and my wine. When no one returned within a reasonable amount of time, we left. At this point, we had been sitting there for 40 minutes, with nothing to show but 2 coffees and a glass of water. I am really surprised and disappointed that one of my favorite restaurants has fallen so far. If this were my first visit, I would never come back, but as I've seen Palomino in better days, I'll just say that I won't be back anytime soon. I should also add that the "servers" were standing around and chatting most of the time.
Visiting San Francisco for a wedding and randomly picked this place for dinner. The patio was packed with people and the bar side had the same. We went early (5:15) for dinner before a show. It was noisy with two group events happening right next to our table. But the food and drinks were pretty good. I will be trying the place again when we visit San Francisco again.

Disappointment in food and service . Food quality and taste no longer good. Service was poor too. Used to be our favourite restaurant, but no longer. Will not return.

Good location, food is pretty good a couple areas of improvement could be made but overall a good spot for lunch.

Service VERY slow. View is amazing. Took over 4 hours to complete dining. Would go back again but will choose different waiter
Food was great and the service was wonderful! It was a great value compared to the very expensive Water Bar and Epic Roast House (just across the street). I’d definitely go back!
