most of the meal was great with the exception of the prosciutto and asparagus with burrata appetizer. the prosciutto was thick, not thin sliced like one expects and it was rolled into a lump, quite chewy and relatively tasteless. it could have been plain ham as far as we could tell.
We had a wonderful experience. Our waiter made great food and beer recommendations for us (the donuts for dessert were amazing). We went at 8:00 on a Saturday night and it was busy but not crowded.
Service was poor
Service was excellent and the food was great! I would give it 10/5 stars if I could!
Had to ask for menus, no tables were set with silverware, food was horrible, don’t know how they are a 5 star place. Taco trucks give better service.
A very nice location but the restaurant was too busy and the ambiance not what I expected for a special occasion. The food was just average though service was great and efficient.
Friends quick bday lunch - yum!
They really need to have Shrimp Cocktail on their brunch appetizer menu and need to have sausage gravy and biscuits on their general brunch menu. Brunch is not the same without sausage gravy and biscuits. SMH.
Everything here was awesome. My wife and I brought a friend here for his birthday and ALL of us were absolutely pleased. Service was on point and the food was exceptional.
A Definite Must For Any Occasion !
Went here for dinner before my senior prom and they were so fast and amazing service with delicious food for a reasonable prom menu with reasonable prices
Overall very good. Chain type of food but on the higher end. Good value.
The quality of the calamari appetizer was a real disappointment, very little calamari and more vegetable and batter.
The Americano coffee was terrible, very weak and watered down, sent it back for a regular cup of coffee.
I hope this restaurant was just having an off day during the Memorial Day weekend (Saturday). I like the location for our family get togethers.
Our waiter Jim handled the larger group with ease. He was very good in suggesting food options
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Spent Mother's Day here for brunch with my daughter and it was so nice. Enjoyed the food and the bottomless Mimosas. I had a nice window seat and was able to take in the beautiful view of the waterfront and Bay Bridge.
Terrible experience for Mother's Day. over 1 our for our appetizer and we left before our entree was served because it took so long. People came, ate, and left before our food for 5 people. Would not recommend for anything other than light appetizers.
Darwin was very accommodating and professional
Food was delicious and fresh. Service was quick and our waiter was very friendly and went over the menu and recommendations with us. I would go again!
I have been to Palomino many times, the food is always excellent and innovative and the service excellent. Also enjoy the neighborhood, particularly on a sunny day when you can eat outside.
Menu always has good options for variety, price points, late night dining, good food. Our server was attentive, friendly but not intrusive.
The food was delicious and the waiter was so nice and attentive.
Good food but this is not a restaurant to visit on your lunch hour. Service is extremely slow. We were seated right away but it took about 20 mins just to get our server to come and take our order. Another 15 to receive our order. On the bright side the food was tasty.
Chop-chop salad delish as always, great view of the Bay Bridge and excellent service from hostess to wait staff. 3 hours free parking with validation is a nice touch (if you don't blow it and hang out having fun so long that you go over the 3 hours like we did - then it's $10!).
Sat by window overlooking bay bridge in evening. Amazing mussel, clam, chorizro and parmazion cheese appetizer. Very good entrees. Excellent waiter.
Very good date table and restaurant
i remember going to Palomino when i lives in seattle. it just seems it’s not as upscale as before. the food we had was delicious. no issue with that. my chicken marsala just looked a little blah. not a great presentation. my husband’s paella was much more appealing. the restaurant decor is a bit outdated. and for only having five tables occupied (it was pretty empty for a saturday night), it took awhile for our food to be prepared.
Palomino comes through again! Great daily menu and the specials were just that, special! We had dinner with friends and the atmosphere and view were spectacular. Great food, great wine, and great service. Thanks to Palomino for being awesome!
Restaurant and food are great but the building now fills the parking lot and there is NO parking for restaurant patrons. One of the attractive things about Palomino was the convenience of parking.
Chop chop salad was wonderful. Love this place. Service was fantastic. Everything was wonderful.
Have visited Palomino many times and keep returning. Really appreciate special menus such as Prom Night menu, Executive Assistant lunch special, etc. Although service was somewhat slow as our waiter seemed quite new, the lunch itself was enjoyable and worth the price.
Jason our server ( african american handsome man) is friendly and attentive. We asked for recommendations and said that we made excellent choices for our meal. We started off w/the seafood & artichoke dip w/crispy pita. Shared a seafood louie salad. As for main course, filet mignon, house burger, and mahi mahi. Cannot pass up on dessert, creme brulee and tiramisu. Everthing was delicious!!! The tiramisu however was more like a chocolate cake rather the lady fingers i was hoping for. Oh and house bread w/ marinera was delish! Also ordered paella and another mahi mahi for togo! Considering of coming back maybe for Mothers day.
Service was horrible.
We hadn't seen some friends for 34 years and picked this place to have our first dinner in years.
They sat us right near the window with a view of the bay bridge at night .
Very good ambience and great food.
Server was wonderful! The best!
Made reservation for Window seating. Received a call @ Noon that day and was confirmed for Window seating. Called 15mins before reservation and re-confirmed window seating. Arrived at restaurant and hostess seated a group the same size of mine that arrived after me and has reservations at the same time. Hostess informed me that they did not have any window seating even though that was what I requested and confirmed 2x before I arrived. I agreed to wait @ the bar until window table was available. I ended up waiting 50mins after my reservation and was not given an adequate table as I specifically asked for when I made the reservation.
I know window seat can't be guaranteed, but when I confirmed 2x before my reservation to have a window seat, it should have been honored. Additionally when they called @ noon to confirm the reservation I had stated that I could come earlier or later than my reservation so that they can accommodate my request. The hostess failed to honor the agreement. 1 star for this experience. I live on Howard & Spear just a block away and I will likely NEVER return because of how they failed to honor my request. Additionally, it was noted as a special event and they did nothing to make it feel special. It's disgusting how they treat someone who's been a patron for over 5 years.
Consistent quality food and ambiance. Had the Pistachio crusted Mahi and it was really good.
The Palomino was the perfect choice to impress out of town relatives. The loved the location, the decor and the food. The think we will do this again sometime.
This place needs a management overhaul. I've been here many times. The restaurant wasn't crowded at 1pm on a gorgeous Saturday but the staff was constantly missing in action. The waiter must have been receiving training on the system because they made our lunch but not one dish was what we ordered. It took over an hour to get our lunch (at 2:15), there were kids screaming & crying at a nearby table which no one asked them to tone it down. All in all, they don't have any leadership & it was disorganized. The food was ok but seemed slapped together.
Unfortunately, either the cooking and or the food quality was poor. My date ordered the Hot Italian Sausage pizza, and the sausage looked like it came from a can or it wasn't Italian sausage it was weird looking. We ordered the Tipsy clams & mussels - some of both the clams and mussels were filled with blow-back sludge inside of the clams & mussels. I mentioned it to my server, and the response he was given to deliver to me was: "this happens." I ordered a med-well steak and fries, my steak was delivered well done and very dry.
However, the cocktails were perfect! I had two great cosmopolitans.
Fanastic location and view of the Bay Bridge along with a delightful outdoor patio. Prices were reasonable. Portions were a little small but tasty. Service was very good.
The service was excellent.
