Palomino - Bellevue Ratings and Reviews
The service was spotty. We had to go find the waiter a couple of times and there were only 4 tables that were full.
The food was not good.
I haven’t been to Palomino in 2 years because of the above issues. I can’t recommend this restaurant because it ja terrine management and they don’t care about the customer.
The food and service was excellent however the only complaint I would have is that they had a special menu, we order the wine that they recommended to complement the meal and they were out of it, one of the entrée items that I selected they were also out of, we were the first dinners of the evening in the restaurant and I would think that if they are going to have a special menu that they should make sure the items they had on the menu were in fact available. Having said that the replacement entrée that I picked was excellent and our waitress was great.
Our party of nine was one of only four occupied tables which made the slow service unacceptable. Three of us ordered Eggs Benedict. Every one of us received our dish with hard boiled eggs instead of poached. The waiter offered to bring us poached eggs to the table. This took 15 minutes or more.
We went for Thanksgiving. Ordered the two specials, turkey dinner and a prime rib dinner. Both were just so-so. Usually love the food here but holiday entrees really weren’t up to their standard. We were disappointed. Second year for Thanksgiving and probably not going to do a third time.
We were there at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Palomino is a nice family restaurant. I emphasize family. Lots of families and kids. Hi noise level.
On my reservation I had said date nite, looking for something romantic. Yes, we called a couple hours ahead and asked to move our reservation by 30 minutes. They were very accommodating.
The booth was in a nice corner, next to the kitchen so the noise level from the kitchen was high. Loud talking that was not restaurant related. Evidently a few of the staff were going to a great party after work.
We asked for a different booth but only tables were available.
No silverware, no napkins. No water for some time.
We looked at the wine list. Picked a nice bottle, $96.00. It was brought to us with dirty glasses. It took at least 10 minutes to get new glasses.
The wait person was trying but must have been new and was struggling. The kitchen expediter did help her out.
Even after the appetizer was served there were still no napkins nor silverware.
We decided to split a pasta and filet and they were kind enough to split the entrees on the two plates. So appreciated.
The food was good, but for over $200 for two I think we expect more.
Maybe good for a casual lunch but not a date.
We have eaten here before, and in no way was this a reflection of the restaurant as a whole, but they were exceptionally busy during this most recent visit and they had many large and very loud parties. There was an available empty table in a more quiet location but instead of that booth, we were seated in the center between two of these parties. We were in no way upset by this, but did feel that a bit more care should have been taken in seating a smaller party when an event is taking place and other options are available. Still though, good food and the service was lovely.
Our dinner was great! My husband had red the red snapper special. It was a huge piece of fish which he ate all of . He loved it! I had the pear, walnut, blue cheese and chicken salad. It was great, too. It was my birthday. We celebrated with the lemncello cake and blueberry gelato. Delicious!
Justin was our waiter and he was fabulous! He was attentive without being overbearing and extremely pleasant. We would definitely ask for him again, if he's working that night.
Stopped in for happy hour and early dinner before a movie. Good happy hour menu of food & drink, plus can also have full dinner menu in the bar. Bar was relatively quiet in a Thursday evening. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Food was yummy. Save room for the GF donuts!
