Miss the bread pudding.. they should bring that back!!!
The food was wonderful as it has been every time I've dined at Palomino. In addition to that, our servers were fantastic. Very attentive without being too attentive, and handled a rather complicated bill split at the end on their own with a smile.
We returned to the Bellevue location because the bar service was great. Unfortunately, the family dining was bad. The appetizers arrived after the entree. They also forgot the other orders.
We were not impressed. The choices of your happy hour menu did not offer much that we would eat. Service is slow and not the first time that's happened. Asked for dinner menu and that wasn't appealing either. Tracking down a server and then have the orders take so long from a drink to a appetizer. I won't be back.
Very nice waiter, good recommendations re: foods he recommended
Very good service and the food was good. Nice atmosphere for a date
Great Easter brunch - French toast was exceptional.
So disappointed. For over 20 years Palomino has been my go to place for casual place to get together. My boyfriend who is a fussy eater even loved the pizza. Not anymore -- the both pizzas we ordered were soggy and the 2 desserts we ALL were looking forward to having were taken off the menu. The wait staff was great and when the manager came over to ask how our meal was and we told him about the pizza he removed them from the bill. We were told that upper management made menu changes last week. We won't be going back unless they return the donuts and lemon cake to the menu and return the pizza to the original recipe.
Ordered their sole and I think they got it off the bottom of a shoe. Tough, chewy, fishy.
We really enjoyed our whole experience. We had a very cordial greeting from Pierre when we arrived and experienced excellent service from Evan! We definitely enjoyed the new pizzas offered by Palomino!!
Delicious Sunday brunch!
The food was great We had the infamous chopped salad and the chicken blue cheese salad. Both were delicious. Our server, Melissa, was sooooo good! I would ask for her again.
The service was prompt, quick and friendly!!! She was amazing and excellent especially when we mentioned we had about 45 min. To make our conference on time 😆👍🏽💗
Little girl in booth behind me was pulling my hair...
I had a great coupon - group of 4, save $50 if you spend $100.
Two of us arrived early, went into the bar to have a drink. The bartender was on break, wait staff seemed to be on their own to make drinks and deliver to their tables. Took a long time for us to get served. When others in our party arrived, we checked in and went to table. This also took a long time as there wasn’t a host, we were eventually greeted by a waiter who took us to a table. Half our menus were lunch menus, causing confusion. Waiter must have had too many tables, as he was always in a rush on the rare occasion he was able to visit our table. Not likely to go back.
Loved he host and the server.
Went to Palomino Bellevue for Valentines dinner. We've both been there many times for lunch/dinner/happy hours. Server was great. Very friendly, funny, attentive, etc. I had the scallops and risotto which was excellent. My wife had the Seafood Louie salad and was disappointed. The crab had absolutely no flavor and a wet mushy texture. First time we've ever been disappointed with the food there.
Bologenese was just pasta with a tiny bit of red sauce and basically no meat with some cheese on top. Not worth it at all.
The prime rib was a bit tough.
The sever, Becky, was very good and polite.
Overall probably won’t go back for that quality of food for the price.
Palomino is one of our go-to's for a casual dinner out in Bellevue. We went early for a cocktail in the bar before dinner and had such a cozy table in the back, we decided to stay put in the bar for dinner. Fun evening. My husband's salmon was perfectly cooked; my parmesean-crusted sole and brocolini were a bit greasy, so not my best meal ever. We shared the double chocolate truffle gelato for dessert, which made up for my main!
This is supposed to be such a great place. I was truly disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. It has a tendency to be noisy. The server was well trained, but I did not feel any sense of caring, or that we were anything other than her next customers. Always smiling, but it looked pasted on. The fries are so small it is like eating fried toothpicks. Maybe that's the "in" thing, but sure did not add anything to the meal. Beats me how they get the big points for eating there. May try again for Happy Hour, but it surely lacked anything that would make me feel that I need to have dinner there again.
Palomino's menu offers a broad selection without being overwhelming lengthy. The quality of the food is excellent, and chef has selected nice portion sizes.
The food was very disappointing.
Sunday brunch early with less than 20% tables occupied. Meal service was very slow, presentation ranged from thoughtful (eggs Benedict) to no thought (bacon cheddar omelet). Eggs Benedict were undercooked (whites were runny) and the granola yogurt berry bowl was served with no granola. While it was comped AFTER we raised the issue, how does a restaurant run out of granola with a Safeway 200’ away? Overall, the appearance of the restaurant is dated, vinyl chairs are cracked and it just felt tired. We really used to like the Palomino as a special occasion but it seems to be going the way of Stuart Anderson and The Keg.
Amazing food and excellent service!
The food was fine but the service was terrible. Our waitress, Joy, took our orders and we didn't see her until dessert. We had to ask someone else to bring us our wine and our soup. She was very nice but inefficient. I, also, had to get the manager to redo our check when she did not apply the gift card that was given to her with the check. The manager finally had to take over to straighten out our bill.
Our service was great! I had the chicken parmesan which the server regarded as his favorite. I am glad I had it, it was amazing!
The bartender made a perfect Cosmo. All of the staff was extremely friendly, smiling and made you feel very welcome. Not pretentious as some other restaurants nearby.
I would highly recommend Palomino to everyone.
Food was good. Ambiance and service is much better at Seattle location. Salad and soup came out after main entry. Seemed waitress was stretched too thin.
Dry, flavorless omlets with a few tiny potatoes as the only accompaniment , not even a sad piece of toast. They should get out of the brunch business, their food at lunch and dinner is great but brunch was overpriced and under flavored.
Got a birthday coupon from Restaurants Unlimited. Went for a nice meal and fun surroundings (the bar was packed with an office party crowd). The food is good. The ambiance is good. There is a half price wine bottle day. What's not to like?
Hi
We have dined at Palomino before and been impressed with the staff and their ability to work with us to customize their menu for special food allergies. This trip however was different. Our waitress, although kind, was pretty clueless about their menu and gave us inaccurate information about one of the dishes so my daughter consumed a food that could make her very sick! We also waited more than 20 minutes to get a drink and then over an hour to get our food. I will still trying going back another time, to see if this was just a fluke, but was disappointed with our overall experience
Love their new pizza! New menu for the new year, but many favorites still on the new menu.
great experience
will go again
good food and pizza
A group of eight of us went there for a business meal and the food and service was terrific. It was made even nicer when or server Ashley let us know that Wednesday was half price wine. We will definitely be back. We booked through Open Table about 20 minutes before the time and the table was ready for us when we arrived.
Very accommodating. Great food and service. We had a nice lunch. Would go again.
Had a great waiter which always helps. He was informative but did not push anything. The food was good quality and amply portions. I always love the chop salad but others had the salmon off the fresh sheet and said it was good. The lemondrops were good and the wine choices by the glass were good and reasonable.
The first thing I will say is that I am not a fan of Italian food. If you like Italian food, you would probably like Palomino. We decided to try it because they sent us a coupon. Servers were great. Ambience was modern and clean but a touch loud. I’m just a not a fan of Italian food. Heavy on the olive oil and garlic.
The food really isn't great. We went on New Year and the menu is limited to holiday menu. It is an Italian restaurant and there is no pasta and pizza on the holiday menu which is kind of going against their brand. Their mushroom soup is great, but the prime rib is a huge disappointment.I feel like I can cook better than that. The service is fine. Good environment.
Overall fair/good food. The food was done well. Exceptions are the price and the contents. If you order a dish that advertises lamb there should be more than 3-4 small pieces of lamb in the dish. Close to $30 for a bowl of ravioli is not what I expected when I ordered the dish. What there was of the lamb was cooked nice and tasted good. Just not content with the prices they were charging for food that quality-wise should be in $15-20 range.
Good service; it was her first shift post-training and she was very good.
Atmosphere: Lots of kids doing what kids do; making noise. Surprised so many kids in the restaurant after 7 pm. Not Palomino's fault. Just added to the overall sub par occasion.
I'll start by saying we are fans of Palomino, having frequented the Seattle restaurant for many years. Since moving to the eastside, we have dined twice at the Bellevue Palomino, in the bar. This week, we made a reservation on Wed night for a post Christmas holiday dinner out, in the dining room side of the restaurant. We enjoyed our meals, took advantage of the half-price wine by the bottle special, and our waitress was lovely. But ... for some reason, the kitchen was very s-l-o-w, when the restaurant seemed only moderately busy. We waited 50+ minutes between the time our starter plates were cleared and our entrees arrived. And then, when we checked the dessert offerings there were only 3, literally - because the 3rd dessert choice was a "selection of sorbets and gelatos." When we asked about flavors, there was only Pistachio! We will give Palomino the benefit of the doubt that this visit's experience is atypical for their dining room. Overall, Palomino is a good value with a solid menu, reasonable prices, and good wine selection.
Always enjoy dining at Palamino! Gr at food and service. Chop salad is a long time favorite!
