Palomino - Bellevue
Best of Bellevue. Great atmosphere and fantastic food.
Mediocre high priced food in nice quiet atmosphere
Excellent service. Food was very good. Better than most.
A friend and I met for lunch on a quiet afternoon. Hard to really judge the food as we only had salads. Our server was very nice and attentive. We never felt rushed. Would go back to try an actual meal. The pizza menu looked pretty good as well
It was great night to have some good food at a reasonable price and it was great that it’s in the middle of everything in downtown Bellevue should you want to explore before or after.
It's just ok. Used to be much better a few years ago.
Went for brunch. Wasnt too busy so we we were seated and served right away. Food was ok and staff were friendly. Good place to go that was around the hotel, but there are many other places to choose.
Great brunch/lunch menu. Service was excellent. The restaurant was not crowded while we were there and my group was encouraged to stay and visit as long as we wanted.
We visited Palomino because we were given a 'Restaurants Unlimited' gift card. I made an online reservation with notes for seating preference and a comment that it was out 10th wedding anniversary. No mention of our anniversary was mentioned at greeting, and we were sat exactly opposite of what I requested (private booth or corner table). We were on time for our reservation, and the restaurant was basically empty. Our server was kind, but not very helpful. We asked about salad size, and he greatly misrepresented the size of the side salad. We each had a Cesar side salad, and the croutons were stale (not crunchy), while the lettuce showed signs of browning. The food arrived well-timed, which was a plus. When we mentioned our anniversary to the server, he said "save room for dessert [on the house]." We replied, "Thanks, but only if it's sugar free". At the end of the meal he delivered a Tiramisu (not sugar free)... and charged us for it. (The manager corrected the charge).
We spent $75 for two people (no alcohol) and ate the cheapest thing on the menu (pizza).
This restaurant is way overpriced for the service and quality we received. If you're going to spend $75-$150 on dinner - go to Ruth's Chris steak house, or ANY place else on Bellevue Way.
Overall it was great. Will return again soon.
This place is always good.
The food selection was limited. Not a lot of variety
I had requested to have a table where it might be quiet so our party could talk with ease. We were placed right next to two large parties. It was totally unacceptable.
Service was okay. Not bad, not great. Can’t put my finger on it. Seemed like it was an effort to make it a good experience. Not many customers at lunch, so we got plenty of attention.
The food was excellent, from the amazing mushroom soup I had, along with the blue cheese salad. Yum!
I always try to go to RU establishments, as they ate typically really good.
Keep getting better.
The food and atmosphere was great, always great to go in and get our favorites.
The food was really good. I will definitely visit the place another time
Great food! The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was amazing. Service was quick.
Great food, excellent environment, especially for dinner
It was very good. The server was ok except she never brought out the bread until it was asked for and forgot to bring out a side of mayo as requested.
Delicious food, wonderful service and even gluten
free dessert. Highly recommended!
The meal was incredible! We had the scampi and also the asiago almond crusted scallops that were out of this world! Great service as well
We had dined at Palomino-Seattle and were impressed with the service and menu. Wanted to try the Bellevue restaurant since it's much more convenient for us. We weren't disappointed. Service was great, and the menu is creative and varied enough to appeal to all tastes. We'll be back!
no where close to the Seattle location in quality. Pass on this location and go to the one downtown. Better food, better service, better ambiance.
Atmosphere and service were great. Eggs Benedict was as you would expect. Frittata was a poor excuse for one. Thin, tough, was as it had been precooked. Didn’t finish it. Would try something else, the server, Johnnie, was as good as you get! Thanks!
Palomino is our go to restaurant. So many options to choose from. Wait staff is always very attentive and friendly.
I decided to book this for my Wife's Birthday as something different that we haven't been to. I made reservations and special requests and Pierre (hopefully I spelled that right) was very kind and accommodating in making it as seamless as possible. I appreciate everything the staff did to make us feel comfortable and I appreciate it all around. She especially enjoyed her dish and liked the scallops within her dish overall above everything and she's curious to try some other dishes for our next visit.
We'll definitely be back for the future.
The first time my family and I came here this restaurant was great. This time the whole atmosphere to the food was very disappointing. When we first came in they couldn't find our reservation, but they managed to seat us anyway. The second problem was our server she seemed nice but after giving us water she disappeared and didn't come back to our table at all. We were waiting for 15 minutes and then another server comes up and tells us she had an issue and was talking to the manager and then she went on break. After that we ended up with a new server named Jonathan and he was really nice but everything became very awkward. We then placed our order waitied 20 minutes or more before the food came out we saw our orginial server but she only helped the table behind us and sat other tables never once looking at us or acknowledging our presence again. The manager came by after seeing us there waiting with nothing to eat, no offerong of bread or butter on the table as before, and asked if anyone took our order but that was all. When the food came out the steak my daughter had was bland and a little tough but she chose to keep it, my son's burger was good and my pizza was just ok this time. The tiramisu had way too much alcohol in it for desert and we sent it back. For as much as I spent which was over 100 for the food with appetizers this was a let down. This was my son's first time and most likely the last time. The only bright spot was the second server Jonathan other than that it will be a very long time before I reconsider this restaurant again.
We arrived early for our reservation, and enjoyed a drink in the Bar. My Scratch Margarita was excellent and the Truffled Matchstick fries were outstanding. We moved on to the Dining Room for our dinner. Both my husband and I were extremely pleased with our dinner entrees. I loved my Braised Lamb Shank and the Steak with Frites was perfectly prepared. We always look forward to our next lunch/dinner at Palomino.
Our waitress, Hannah, was delightful. The only criticism I have is that I have dined several times at the Seattle Downtown restaurant and found that the pasta bolognese was not as good at the Bellevue restaurant. It needed more spice and more sausage. It seemed like there was way too much pasta. I'd also like to see a 9-ounce wine pour, if only for your house wines.
We made reservations for New Year's Eve for a group of 11 at 8pm. Their website specifically said NYE hours were from 11am to 11pm. Well a few of our party arrived at 8:05pm, and the front doors were locked. Was odd. Then my husband went to order a 2nd drink and the bartenders said no, they were closed and not making mixed drinks (but could be bothered to pour beer or wine). It was extremely disappointing. Our server made best of it he could, but we will not return based on this experience. It was extremely unprofessional. I had called twice about our reservation and spoke to people and not once did they say our reservation was at time of closing.
We’ve been here a few times but hadn’t been in quite some time. Our son gave us gift cards as a gift so we were looking forward to coming back. The food was great! We had the “Crispy” caprese appetizer, which is a great mash up of cheese sticks and a caprese salad. The Caesar salads were a good size but could have used a bit more dressing. I ordered from the specials menu getting the Copper River Salmon Oscar. I ate every last bit! My husband ordered the Fettuccine Frutti du Mare and enjoyed it as well.
Now for the service. Our waitress was not very attentive. We did say we weren’t in a hurry and didn’t want our food coming out rapid fire. But we also didn’t think we had to ask for the complimentary bread, but we did. The water glasses were empty for quite a while after the initial fill. We didn’t really see any bus people moving around the room. The kicker was when our entrees arrived. We had used both our forks for the app and salad so we asked for forks. Our waitress went to get them right away but walked right past us and over to a table next to ours. She wasn’t there long, but the fact was we had our entrees sitting in front of us and no way to eat them. We just sat there and stared at her while she answered questions, then came over to I’ve us our forks. Not cool!
We will go back with the hope this was a fluke in mediocre service.
Disappointed as the host refused to acknowledge our open table reservation and had us sit in the bar. Service was a disappointment yet food was good.
Palomino is one of our favorite restaurants! They were kind enough to be open on Christmas Day, when most other places were closed. This is always our “go to” restaurant because food is great, location is perfect, and it just feels like home.
It was fairly pleasant overall. Our second waitress made it a better experience when we asked to switch to a different table. She was very sweet and engaging.
It was Christmas. We understood it would understaffed. Waited patiently. Service was poor. Food was just as bad. I always found the food/ambiance in the bar wonderful... however, have found the exact opposite in the dining room. I wrote the restaurant twice last time after a bad experience, expecting a reply. One was online, another typed and sent along with my phone number. I had brought my family from out of state, nine of us. Again No reply. Poor management?
The waitress did not return my gift card with money left on it. Unable to find her.
I decided to try it again a year and a half later. Palamino in downtown Seattle is a delight. NOT in Bellevue, plus, as it seems they could care less. Used to be my favorite restaurant.
The calamari was hardly edible.
My son did love his prime rib. The rest of our meals were so/so.
Our table was a booth in a very noisy spot. There were many open seats, close to windows and views of Christmas decor.
Sad. So many other spots to eat. I do not recommend this one! ☹️
We came on Christmas for a late lunch. The whole restaurant + bar were booked out with reservations - glad we had one as they were turning people away. The menu was limited due to the Holiday but the choices were varied and we all found more than one something we wanted. Everything was fresh, delicious, and service was swift. The Vanilla Brussels Sprouts were AMAZING! I highly recommend this place.
All entrees were average to slightly below, especially at this price point. Salmon was dry and tasted very fishy. We ordered wine and had to pour the remainder on our own. Our appetizer and salad were good but unfortunately the remainder of the meal was not. This was a holiday but with the limited menu we would have expected much higher quality.
I called the restaurant and was told that it was sold out for the evening. I went online and booked a table through open table for 745. We showed up at 7:30 and we’re seated, no problem. The restaurant was virtually empty. The reception staff was excellent, the wait person was excellent. The food was good but not exceptional.
4 of us went for Christmas eve dinner. My wife and I arrived early and sat in the bar to watch the holiday parade outside. Great drinks! I had the blueberry vodka "smashed blueberry" and it was excellent.
When my son and his wife showed up we moved into the dining room. The only (somewhat) low point was the limited holiday menu. Having said that I had the prime rib and it was excellent as were the Parmesan potatoes. the only reason my review isnt all five stars is the limited menu. There are many dishes on the regular menu that I would have loved to have been able to chose from.
All in all you cant go wrong going here.
Our server, Luis was AMAZING!!! He was attentive, funny and very engaging!
