The cocktails were excellent and the Asiago almond crusted scallops were amazing! Our waiter was great too! Hubs had the swordfish it was good but not as great as my scallops!
The quality of the food was good. While the restaurant did not have many people dining for lunch, the service was slow.
food was very good, service was very slow. server never checked to see if meals prepared properly, only checked on drinks one time. Never offered bread, had to ask for it ourselves. Getting a drink took a very long time. Food was excellent. Dessert menu was lacking any of the normal staples. Our group declined and went to another restaurant for dessert
We had reservations at 1:30 web site said was was over at 3:00 when we were seated at 1:30 waited for drink ordered was about 1:45 went to food lines food was very picked over some all gone no prime rib when we guestion why was told that it was over at 2:00 then was told they could. Not help it Did not offer to do anything on the bill we had 6 guests with me bad experience

Not good. About the experience you’d expect at a medium grade chain restaurant like an Olive Garden but with a higher price. Although we had 9:30 reservations and they’re open until 11:00 on Saturday, we felt rushed by our server and some of the food was old. The portion of my wife’s $24 Mahi was tiny and I had to add salt to my $23 pasta. Not impressed and certainly not the Palomino from years back when Palomino used to be fine dining.
It was very busy but we were able to find a last minute reservation. We had a great meal and great service!!
Good location and reasonable price. I would recommend for family events and friends.

The scallops meat was delicious. My husband and I came here for the steak. He ordered a prime rib and it was a tough steak. First time we had ever had a tough prime rib 😳
We were in town for a conference. Unfortunately they were so busy they moved us to the bar area to eat. They were really setup to only serve drinks. Next time in town might try again but would want to eat in formal restaurant area.
Loved the special attention. It was so nice having staff tell us happy anniversary. It was a little difficult to talk without feeling like you were shouting.

Had the he special, Seafood Paella. Fresh clams, mussels, shrimp , fish and scallops. Best ever. My wife had delicious salmon. Started with our favorite appetizer, artichoke crab dip with wood fired oven crackers. Nothing better. Service was perfect. Will keep coming back.

My mom worked here for years and I considered this place the best in Indy. I was so disappointed that their standards have fallen so low but their prices are still so high! I really liked our server who tried to make our experience great, even if he didn't bring out the bread until after the appetizer (bread lover here) even the bread was just disappointing in its presentation. Our appetizer was overcooked. Calamari, seafood in general, is easy to screw up, but when you are paying as much as you are i.e. not eating at Olive Garden, you have certain expectations. This was, thankfully, taken off of our bill. I decided to try the Paella $27. I hoped since it was on their featured menu, that I would love this dish. All of the seafood and meat, aside from the rotisserie chicken, was overcooked. The rice was not very appetizing either. The portion was pretty sad as well. I am so upset I asked my in-laws to have Easter dinner there, and that they paid. I think his parents were happy with their food thank goodness but I cannot express just how sad I was. I am used to everything at Palomino being fresh. It seems like they have tried to cut costs by using frozen ingredients. The atmosphere has also changed, no longer will you hear jazz or big band music, more like pop playlists. I hope they get better. I don't want them to leave because they are a part of my history but things need to change.
This was our first visit to the dining room in several years (since the remodel). We frequently enjoy a glass of wine and lite food in the Bar before downtown events and find it of great value. However, the dinner we had recently, the service was outstanding but the food was average to below average at best. I ordered the Prime Rib medium rare and it was served cool and was medium to medium well cooked. The PRIME RIB was the toughest Prime Rib I had ever eaten. The sharp knife they provided could barely cut through the meat. My wife had the RIGATONI BOLOGNESE which was well prepared and tasty. We enjoyed a bottle of Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir which was excellent. Overall, after spending north of $250 with tip, at this price point, there are much better places to enjoy dinner in downtown Indianapolis.
Our grandchildren love the bunny who handed out the Easter eggs I'm thrilled I have a brunch to come back to since I receive that in my little egg the kids loved the food I love the Mimosa bar my husband love the Bloody Mary bar the only negativity of this was the flow of the people around the food Buffet. Maybe they need an arrow as I felt we were the salmon going Upstream!
Palomino Easter Brunch was quite good, I will return there for brunch. All the food stations were good and well stocked. The prime rib was cooked properly and a good portion (I didn’t even get to the ham). The only point off the ambiance is that the tables were pretty tightly packed, though the traffic through the buffet areas was well managed. We also had problem distinguishing the different flavors of creme brûlée when choosing, so it would be a nice improvement if that was marked and policed a bit better. Overall 5 star.
Easter brunch was awesome! Would do it again!
We went there for Easter Sunday brunch and it was fabulous. Way more than what I expected for the price. I like that the Bloody Mary bar and Mimosa bar were separate from the buffet because we don't drink. The food was amazing, there was nothing that was bad or dry. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful Easter Brunch with our family. There was a huge selection of foods, and everything tasted delicious. We rediscovered Palomino a few months ago, so we thought we would give the brunch a try. Not disappointed! We're thinking about making reservation for Mother's Day next.
My daughter and her friends went there before Prom. The service was great and they had a Prom special for the kids that they really enjoyed. Thanks Palomino!

It’s always a pleasure having dinner at your restaurant. I only visit Indy once a year, but you are always in the list. This is the 8th straight. Looking forward to 2020.
