Nice little venue on a quiet street, good food and very kind waitress. A bit pricy though
Amazing food. Four people in my group had four different things they each loved. Pleasant and attentive waitstaff, and a lovely cozy atmosphere. A little chilly inside on a winter night, but that's the only fault I could find and the food more than made up for that. What a gem.
The food, ambiance, & service was great.... my only complain was that the food took to long to arrive!
Always delicious. Always comfortable.
Excellent food, great location, wonderful service, be advised Wine and Beer only.
Will definitely go back more!
Favorite spot in the neighborhood hands down. Brunch and dinner are amazing.
We did the NYE Pre-Fix menu and it was amazing. So well-priced and the food was DELICIOUS! We were with a group of 5 people and every single person liked every single one of their three courses! Our waiter, Zack, was the best part about the experience. He was bubbly, legitimately excited that we had chosen that restaurant, and got every order and request correct. We will be back very soon!
Best local find in Park Slope. Always welcoming, always delicious.
The staff is incredibly friendly! Recommend sitting at the bar and watching the chefs work.
A phenomenal neighborhood gem. Great food, fantastic ambiance, an all-around must try.
Their tacos are the very best. Had braised duck last time and it was incredible. The micheladas are awesome. Good with kids too, and the service is friendly and attentive. Love coming here every time.
Waitress was slow. Not the food, food came out quickly, tasted medicore though the tuna was decent.
Took a while to get our drink order. By the time she got to us i had our full order decided and ready. Had she come earlier took our drink order first my gf would have likely had two or three glasses of wine instead of one. That is if she had showed up during dinner to refill anything. Too busy chatting to see me staring at her waiting to be noticed. Same with the check.
I came here wanting a nice candle lit romantic dinner but it was noisy, cold, the service sucked, and the food was meh.
The cauliflower salad was AMAZING, I would go back just for that. The fried chicken was crispy and well executed, but nothing special - not worth going out for.
Had to drop this rating to a 1 after deciding to give them a second chance. We made reservations here for Thanksgiving and they literally gave us a table that's right next to a door on a 20 degree day. There was a table open that was tucked away in a cozy corner, but they refused to give it to us because it was "reserved", which would be fine if weren't for the fact that it was unoccupied through our entire meal, with the people arriving as we were paying for our check. The galls . . .
The food itself was alright, our entrees were a little oversalted and a more than a little overcooked; not worth the $160 bill in the least bit. Quick frankly, the entrees wouldn't be out of place in a diner. Despite this, we would have left contempt if it wasn't for the terrible service. I get it, you upcharge for Thanksgiving, it's fine. But coupled with the terrible service, no, not worth price.
I love Palo Santo...great food and service.
The staff always have great suggestions and is able to support any request I may have. The space is relaxing and feels inviting!
Palo Santo had some of the best food I've tasted in ages. REALLY really good: Creative, fresh, original - and delicious - take on Latin American cuisine. The roasted cauliflower salad with bacon, chiles, pistachios and herbs along with the hearts of palm, beets and peanut salad were two of the best salads I've ever tasted. Pork tacos were yum. Sadly, the decor is ye olde Mexican restaurant of my 1970s youth with ungainly wooden tables and chairs and dark as in too dark to read the menu. A friend and I stumbled in on our way to a comedy show and were the only ones in there. If their decor and lighting were as innovative as their cuisine I think they would be wildly popular.
Freindly, Laid back atmosphere and the food was really good.
Food was really good and authentic. Prices were a bit high for food and drinks but very delicious. Would go back again and recommend trying the steak!
I found the food very bland and uninteresting. We were seated in
The back room between a party of 5 and a party of 9. It was unbearable
Awesome! Great food, great service.
We were in town for business. My wife and i like small quaint restaurants. We were so happy to have found this place it is just like a little spanish restuarant that was in the Florida Keys where we live. Its a beautiful restaurant with great food and wine.
Awesome food, serioudly won’t disappoint. Would do anything for more fresh tortillas
Our favorite place to eat in the neighborhood. Don't miss their chayote salad.
Amazing food! Something as simple as avocado and tortillas is made to perfection here. Everything was so tasty, I will definitely be back!!
Palo Santo always delivers a lovely, high-quality experience. Taco Tuesdays (with delicious free empanadas) made for a fun addition to my 30th birthday celebration with friends, and the restaurant was super accommodating of last minute additions to our party. The coconut plantain stew is amazing and it's perfectly located near fun Gowanus bars if you want a nice dinner before a night of casual drinks. Thank you!
Great time, wonderful service and wonderful
It was an amazing meal! Can not wait until the next time we are there.
They were incredibly accommodating to my large group and children! I would definitely dine there again!
Perfect for a special occasion! A bit pricier, but great for a birthday dinner or anniversary. All of the food and drinks were great
genuinely nice people serving excellent original food at very fair prices
I've been a fan for many years. Not just for the attractive setting with an imaginative use
of brick and tile in a relatively small space, but also a chance to try some unusual Latin dishes.
It was a busy Sat. night but we ate in the back patio, alone, so it was wonderfully quiet.
The waiter was wonderful, very attentive. Sometimes in a busy restaurant when
you're in the patio, they forget about you, but he was on top of everything.
He also lit a citronella candle to keep bugs away. My only warning: porgy is a small fish with not much meat on the bones so if you're hungry, order something else, but I was happy.
I recommend: the tres leche cake for dessert: an unusual and delicious dish.
We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time and were told that we cannot be seated even though they had tables available. There was no proper waiting area. When it was finally our time to be seated, we were told that kitchen is backed up and we cannot place order for food yet. What?! We asked if there is something on the menu that can be prepared quicker. The answer was a no. We had no choice but to leave. Very disappointing experience. Never had this happen to me before and definitely won't be back.
The service was ok. Food was great but the place feels dirty, the prices are really high and half the options on the already limited menu weren’t available so I wouldn’t recommend the place. I took my in laws who were visiting from out of town, one waiter was lovely the other had a terrible attitude. They charged $11 for a glass of mediocre rosè, when the glass arrived it was a quarter of the way full so I asked the waiter to please fill it a little more. So he filled the glass to a third. It’s very dark inside there, the music is loud and we had to ask them to turn the AC on, on what was a really hot day. On a positive not the mushroom quesadilla was really good.
This is a beautiful spot with quiet outdoor dining. I very much recommend this restaurant.
Was excited to try but long wait times for food and small portions left me unsatisfied. Won’t be returning.
Delicious food. Great date place
It took us an hour and 20 minutes to get a very basic brunch order. No one offered us any food in the meantime. We were offered no discount, either. Just a lot of excuses that were lame. A large party was seated after we ordered and got their food first. Extremely disappointing.
Amazing staff! They were so catering and friendly. We celebrated my mother’s birhtday and she loved it. Not to mention the food was delectable. Definitely coming back.
Decent food but terrible service. Server was incredibly unfriendly. Won’t rush back.
