Our food was delicious! Service was great! Champagne was reslly good! We’ll go back!
Our server was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, we'll be back again for sure. However, the food was a little bit disappointing. We had higher expectations. We're both definitely trying other meals when we go for brunch again.
Great and friendly service every time we dine!
Wonderful food in a beautiful setting.
Jazz Brunch was wonderful. Beautiful atmosphere and two different bands played.
Shrimp & grits wife enjoyed but chicken and waffles wasn’t worth it. My food was bland and didn’t receive that much. The hostess acted like she never served a black person before didn’t bother saying hi. Needs to learn customer service skills. My waitress was ok.
Something was off in the kitchen.
The shrimp dishes were terrible
I love Palmettos but the prices are out of line for poor quality food
Fantastic hidden gem! Highly recommend for special occasions or just a respite from a long drive on I-10/I-12. Food was great! Very authentic. Location and ambiance was probably the most “Louisiana” and “Cajun” restaurant I’ve been to recently in my travels through the area. Again, highly recommend! Josh was an awesome server (along with the whole serving team, very attentive).
Went during girls day out. Saturday brunch. Waiter was nice and attentive. Crab cake Benedict was outstanding. Gumbo was hardy and not overly spiced. Trout almondine was also good. Prices a tad high but overall ok. The restaurant is just lovely and the outside area is lovely. Music was good as well.
We've been eating here for years and it has always been good but has had some ups and downs. Based on last night's meal, it is now very much on the upside. It was the best that it has been for years. The food was great (try the Trout Almondine or the Catch Ponchartrain) and the desserts were outstanding. The ambiance is the best in Slidell and they had a live harpist. The service was spot on. A wonderful night
Best crab cakes I have eaten in several years. The crawfish beignets were also outstanding. I will go back!
We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the outdoor dining area for the jazz brunch The food was delicious. I had the new chicken and biscuit special and I tried bites of the Gouda Mac and cheese and shrimp and grits. All so good! We will be going back again.
Restaurant has a good ambience but the food is standard. Does not taste like anything that a chef would freshly prepare. Gumbo base is powdered; definitely not a home-made roux from scratch. Best item on the menu is the crab cake.
Good food, great atmosphere!
Took my daughter and 2 grandchildren (ages 8 & 6) to the Cajun Brunch while they were visiting. It was such a fun and memorable experience, helped immerse my grandchildren in my French/Cajun ancestor's music. The setting was perfect, service outstanding, with everyone being very accommodating. The Cajun band was excellent, and invited the children up to play the triangles, and even the stand up bass! We had the good fortune of being seated near the band, and were able to converse with the players and get to know them a little. We enjoyed our food selections as well. We do plan to go again, and definitely when we have visitors and want to provide a true local experience.
Truly delicious food and wonderful ambiance.
First: Fantastic, scenic location. Try to get a table under the big fan if you are sitting outside. Otherwise they have smaller fans throughout the outdoor area which work fine. Second: Service was first class! Lovely staff who are very attentive. Third: The grilled fish dish I had (first on menu) was really good, perfectly cooked and nicely plated.
Only thing missing is a decent wine list. So if you are a fine wine drinker they do have some very fun specialty cocktails you can have instead.
Our reservation specified a cozy window table but seated at table against a wall near the bar. We were moved to a cozy window table which was very nice but it would have been nicer to have the table we reserved from the beginning.
Our waitress was great. The charbroiled oysters, duck and turtle cheesecake was very good. The rest of our food was only so-so. Gumbo-more tomato than sausage and chicken, crabcakes-more bread than crab, fish topped with stringy crab versus lump crab. Overall, a nice experience. We'd go back for the ambiance.
Food was delicious. Everything was great. I couldnt find anything to complain about.
Take it easy on the lemon. I ordered the one fish that did not have lemon listed and sure enough it tasted of lemon. I don't care for lemon on my fish.
Went here with some friends that came in town. The waitress Alex was great and attentive the ambience was and scenery were beautiful and food absolutely delicious! We had the “crawfish beignets” Saturday appetizer special and they were sooo good! We will be back.
Natalie is an amazing server!
Advertised a live jazz band. No live anything!! It was so hot inside, almost intolerable. Sweat was dripping off of us. The food was not good-at the best one star. Just not a pleasant experience. We drove over an hour to get there, but won’t be back.
Beautiful atmosphere, great food & service! Highly recommend.
Always a delicious and wonderful meal here. We love this place
Nice get away for the wife and I. Food was very good.
Service was great food was excellent ambiance was great
Waitress forgot our wine and tea but the food was excellent. We should have asked for a better table; it was too small and only one of us had the nice view of the bayou.
Wasn't too impressed with the Father's Day Special menu. Overall still a good experience.
That was the worst waitress we have ever had! We went for fathers day and the fathers day meal they had was not only a bad selection but the food itself was horrible. This has been the worst experience. All 6 of us were so disappointed. Then, the waitress never introduced herself, we had to ask other servers to assist us because she never came to the table, had a bad attitude, got our orders wrong. Just ridiculous. One of us had a nut allergy, we told the waitress no nuts and sure enough here comes her plate with roasted almonds sprinkled all over her fish. Couldn’t tell the waitress because she never came around!! Overall just so upset with our food and waitress.
Father’s Day and it was perfect! Food, music, service, ambiance, he loved it! We all did.
Everything was very nice. Our waitress Amy was really sweet and accommodating. We will definitely be back.
I was disappointed with the entire experience. The service was super slow and the server was not attentive. The food was average, nothing to write home about. We had to wait exceptionally long, while others around us who came in after us, were served. It was my second time there; thank goodness the first time was better or I would not have returned a second time.
Ambiance was nice. Had the chicken and waffles. Portions were very large. Good place for families.
Loved every bit of the Jazz brunch! The ambience and view was everything I was wanting.
Fathers Day Brunch
We made the mistake of sitting outside. We ordered the food for our granddaughter first and when the food came the flies became unbearable. We couldn’t take the flies and there were no tables inside, so we left without eating. If you go, be sure to sit inside.
Food was very good. Beautiful scenery inside and out. Our waitress was attentive but didn’t bother us every five minutes, she knew when we needed something but otherwise left us alone, which I appreciate.
The food was exceptional.... seasoned perfectly and very nice presentation. Our server was attentive, professional, courteous..., everything you could hope for in a great dining experience.
My trout almondine was not fresh; it tasted fishy, and I was disappointed. The waitress was great! I thought there would be jazz music and a brunch menu, but there was not at 1:30; jazz brunch advertised to end at 2:00. Over all, I will not be coming back anytime soon.
