Palmer's American Grill Ratings and Reviews
Great food cute little spot. Very date appropriate and classy. The seafood crepes were to die for although the swordfish was a little under-wowing. Definitely going to go for the sea scallops instead next time. Oh and don’t skip the bread because the homemade maple butter is like nothing you have ever tasted before!
I always enjoy going to Palmers whether for a romantic dinner or a large family gathering. The food is awesome! For Christmas the decor is always beautiful and ambiance festive. Staff is excellent and owners always attentive. I rate it a 10 of 10. I recommend highly.
Great dinner. Beef wellington was excellent. My chicken dish was good too. Not as good as the wellington. Spinach was bland. Fries are great. Overall food is good though. Abe, our server, was outstanding. Good personality plus unobtrusive. Wondeful. 5 stars bc of him. Rest of place is great too but he made our night. Thank you.
We’ve been there many times during the week and have always enjoyed it. This was our first visit on a weekend and we were shocked at how loud it was. The music from the bar was overpowering. So much so that it was hard to have a conversation. Not the experience we were looking for, especially at their prices...
The noise level was very high but it was a Saturday night. I am pleased to say the food and service did make up for it....I will recommend. I will return maybe during the week when it should be a bit quitter......... everyone did enjoy their dinner and drinks.
Went during Restaurant Week. Food was delicious! Skirt Steak & Sambuca Rigatoni were nice portions. Menu for regular dining looked a little pricey. Would definitely go back, but only for a special occasion. We go out every Friday night for "date night" and tend to look for more affordable places. Amy, our server, was awesome!
This was my first time eating at Palmer's. We went for restaurant week. The food and choices were very good. Service was excellent and the ambiance was very conducive to an unhurried, quiet meal. We really enjoyed the pasta and shrimp dish and the skirt steak. My only comment is that the apple crisp with ice cream was served in a sundae glass, which made it difficult to eat the three layers together. Will definitely go back.
I used the online reservations to book the date and even told them it was a 71st anniversary for my parents. I thought someone would read it and at least give them a drink on the house or dessert but nothing. The lighting could be a bit better because older folks can see the menu. Overall the food was excellent and I would recommend it for the middle age people that can see better in dim lighting.
Our latest visit was the best meal yet. We had an early reservation and were only the second table when we arrived but the first table was a party of 16 that included a child. While the child was making happy noises, they were loud and were the result of attempts by the adults to keep the child entertained. My husband doesn't want to hear children when he goes out especially to a more formal more expensive restaurant but the tables began to fill quickly so the type of noise changed but it is one large room and we were seated in the center of the room. Our server was professional and the delicious food arrived at a good pace. My Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly as was my husband's skirt steak. I tried the Palmer salad for the first time and it was excellent. My sangria was delicious as were our desserts. Very pleased and highly recommend!
Palmer's food is consistently good . The restaurant is inviting. The only reason I gave the service 4 stars instead of 5 was because the meal service was a bit rushed at the beginning...the salad that came with the meal was serviced along with our appetizers..table became to crowded..felt rushed!
Three of us loved the Rack of Lamb, my husband enjoyed his skirt steak and our friends enjoyed the Halibut special and the lobster ravioli. The lobster bisque was delicious and the salads were excellent. We all agreed to come back again!! A very nice, enjoyable evening with friends. We had a 7pm reservation and were seated immediately and we're able to stay and talk until way after dessert was finished. Our waitress was terrific and the service was excellent!!
