Delicious food. I enjoyed the duck Bolognese and the nice selection of red wines. We also were glad we ordered the artichoke appetizer. Atmosphere was bustling, restaurant small, but not so loud that dinner conversation was difficult. The service was attentive. We had a great time.

Was recommended by my brother and have been meaning to try it since we bought our West Village Place. We waited by the door for about ten minutes without a greeting. Showed to a table in the garden room which has uncomfortable chairs and tiny tables. Our server was charming but all of the runners and busboys were devoid of any charm whatsoever. Food was average to poor. Very old fashioned, pastas were way to al dente (to the tooth, not crunch the tooth). We had high expectations and left feeling we had paid a lot for a very anonymous evening.

We were seated in the back room/outdoor area on the coldest night of the year. I was given a blanket, but my fiancé had to eat his meal with his coat on.

Upon entering the outdoor space, you feel as if you have stepped into Provence or Tuscany.... so quaint and beautifully decorated. The services was excellent, our waiter Chris was attentive and engaging. My friends and I enjoyed the wine and most of the entrees. There was an issue with the steak, which was tough despite it being medium-rare. So I would recommend sticking to the pastas and other dishes that they are more know for (there is a seafood dish with a pizza crust on top that looked amazing!). Because we were unhappy with the steak, dessert was complimentary. Overall, would go back and plan to go back for brunch in the near future.

We had our family Christmas lunch at Palma. The food was great, authentic Italian!, and our waitress (Claudia) was very kind and patient with us.
Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the scallops and the tagliata di manzo.
Special mention to the tiramisù dessert: wonderful!

I think Palma is great, but it is trying to go beyond what it is, a neighborhood place that has good food and good service in a pleasing atmosphere. It has over priced itself, this makes me sad. You cannot justify the bill you get at the end of the meal...come on guys, bring it down and you would be filled to the rafters. As of now, it is easy to get a reservation, because you have over priced what you are. I am a fan, but really bummed you are now a very pricey place to go. BTW... Second time we have tried the Artichoke appetizer. A few pieces are good, but most of it is inedible, the leaves on an artichoke that are too hard to chew, should not be served. Once again this is what the waiter suggested.

We had eaten at Palma on another occasion and were quite satisfied. The food and service were exceptional. On this visit, the food and service were terrible. The menu in the restaurant was not the same as the menu posted on their website and the service was inattentive and sloppy. The food was not very well prepared and was disappointing.

What a lovely place! Very romantic and cozy. The food was amazing and the ambience/decor just made the whole experience a lot better. The bar area was a little noisy but we got a table in the "backyard" and I have no complains. Would definitely go back!

Long on charm and atmosphere, the food mostly lived up to expectations. Seafood was admirable, though certain details (the antipasto, for example) would have done better with a little less "filler". By and large perfectly good value and with a notable wine made for an enjoyable evening amongst friends. Service for a busy Thursday night was properly attentive but with multiple servers stopping by to continually re-fill one's glass, you can't help but get the feeling they would have liked us to drink faster and order more. All too typical in downtown NYC.

An excellent experience was marred by the hostess insisting we be seated in a noisy cramped front bar area. We finally prevailed and were seated in a lovely quiet rear room.
We arrived on time and there was no acceptable reason to seat us in a front cramped bar area.
Her attempting to push us into an area she obviously wanted to fill left a bad taste in my mouth, fortunately the quality of the meal cleansed my palate.

Palma's atmosphere is delightful; we were there in December and it was a winter wonderland. The food was incredible. We started with frito misto and the prosciutto and mozzerella antipasto to share and both were scrumptious! The fettucine al funghi was incredible and although "gluten free" the pasta itself was perfect!

Really lovely meal with friends. Highly recommend artichokes, the cacio e pepe ravioli (don’t let gluten free fool you, these are fantastic) and the veal milanese. Staff was great, atmosphere is a ten. Highly recommend.

We had a delightful dinner @ Palma while in NYC!! We come here every time we come to the city. Our waiter Fulcris? Was outstanding!! He decanted our special cellar wines in the sparkling patio area. Sister D loved the gluten-free ravioli with butter sauce. Niece always has gnocchi with red sauce. Sister J had the seafood medley in broth — yum! I had Branzino which was fileted for me with good fresh vegetables.

Was my second time at Palma and just as delicious as first time! Amazing home made pastas including homemade gluten free pastas which is not that easy to find. Having a gluten allergy it is a real gift to find a place that has this. The cauliflower current and pinenut appetizer is a must have. There are choices for pasta lovers, meat and fish lovers and allergy diners. A great choice for your eclectic dining crowd. The atmosphere is West Village romantic- wooden tables and candlelit. There is a garden room in the back which is nice during daytime dining. It is a little on the pricey side but I highly, highly recommend.

My 13-year old son and I went for a Saturday lunch. Everything was great. An old chum who’s friendly with the chef, Marino, introduced me to the restaurant and I’ve never been disappointed. We split two orders. The first was a ricotta and spinach stuffed pasta, which the waiter recommended as replacement for the gluten-free ravioli. The second was the steak, which was served London-broil style with a tasty green sauce and arugula salad. Jalapeño-infused tequila drink called “Smoky and Sweet” is a must try. The waiter corrected a screwed up bill with aplomb. All around pleasant experience.
