One of the most beautiful restaurants I have seen in NYC. Totally a hidden gem! Love all the fresh seasonal florals throughout the space.
The cocktails were delicious (I ordered La Vie en Rose), the appetizers (the fritto misto and the cauliflower dishes were delicious!). The pasta - a tagliatelle with lamb ragu - was mediocre (not amazing). Servers were all very friendly but it did take a long time for our appetizer to get cleared (I flagged down a server to take it away) so by the time our main arrived, I was full from sitting there with the appetizer for so long. Dessert was delicious (ordered the cannolis - great rec from the waiter) but I had included a note that this was to celebrate my guest's birthday and had confirmed that it was my guest who was the birthday girl (and not myself), so I was disappointed when the cannolis arrived with no candle and no mention of a happy birthday. I ended up having my friend blow out the regular candle on the table instead.
I have been here many times and always enjoy . Lovely flower-filled room in this old village building add to the experience. Creative Italian; I would say traditional with a little twist.
Delicious, inventive and pretty cocktails .
Beautiful flowers, ambiance, outdoor indoor atrium garden seating, lovely!! excellent food!
The service was very good. Our waiter took us on a tour of all the different rooms. He also told us a little about the owners and some of the more famous patrons. The food was very good. The ambiance was lovely. The lamb chops were delicious but a little overpriced.Would definitely go back .
Fabulous dinner! Everything was delicious! This restaurant is consistently wonderful! The food, service and ambience are always amazing!! Highly recommend for brunch, lunch or dinner!
We came here for my girlfriend's birthday and absolutely loved it. The service was fantastic - they very polite and attentive. Food tasted excellent and what I loved the most was we were seated in a cozy area of the restaurant away from the noise where I didn't have to raise my voice just to speak across the table. I honestly cannot ever recall having dinner at a restaurant where we got this kind of experience.
Ambiance was very romantic and quaint. Beautiful flowers and our sever was very attentive and friendly. Linguine funghi with black truffle was delicious! Would return here for sure!
Great restaurant. I enjoy the experience greatly.
great decoration, ambiance and food was fantastic! service was very nice as well
The interior is absolutely beautiful. The flowers are breathtaking and the ambiance is quiet and romantic. I traveled from out of town and hope to be able to return soon.
The staff was really friendly and the food was amazing! The drinks were spot on
Service was not great. Waiter mumbled and stuttered while attempting to read off his cheat sheet used to help memorize the list of specials.
Waiter guilted me into not requesting another wine tasting before finalizing my wine choice.
Little attention spent to us during the meal.
Left waiter with a 15 percent tip (undeserved), and was chased down by the waiter as we were leaving the restaurant requesting to know why I didn’t tip more.
Food is over priced and not worth the money.
everything was great! but, the food was bit salty.
Everything about the experience was fantastic.
I love Palma and I’ve been there many times and have always left good reviews. This was the first time I felt like the whole experience was lacking.
-We only saw the waitress when we ordered drinks and food, other than that she never checked on us.
- They were out of decaf espresso and coffee, which doesn’t seem like a big issue but I can only drink decaf. Caffeine and I don’t mix well
-The air turned on at one point and it felt like we were sitting in a wind tunnel. It was cold to begin in the back and this made it almost unbearable.
-The French toast was raw on the inside.
-And as we were wrapping up they started getting ready for a wedding we presumed and were using loud power tools.
-The gnocchi was amazing, as was the cacio and Pepe ravioli, and the eggs in tomato sauce.
As I said before, we love Palma, and I’m sure we will be back, but this experience wasn’t great and it was made all the worse by the fact that we were celebrating my mom’s birthday.
We definitely enjoy the back room more than the main dining room. The food is always good, but the room was pretty loud and crammed. We love it here and will return the next time we're in town. Thanks, Palma!
We had a great experience at Palma! Service was amazing and the food was exceptional.
The food and the surrounding were very good . Portion size was fair. Two complaints . First the service should have been better. The waiter was polite and not attentive to what I wanted . Secondly I asked for a glass of house wine, which I had two and when I got the bill they wanted $40.00. I complained to the waiter who immediately cut that bar bill in half. My complaint was the wine was a blend and that I was over charged. My recommendation is to order from the wine list to avoid this problem
Food was great, and whilst the service was generally good - we did have to wait 20 minutes before our first drink was served. Our appetizers had been served, and at the second time of asking, our cocktails arrived. A relatively small detail, but slightly annoying.
Extremely busy and loud
Vintage ambiance with a lot of history connected to the building. We enjoyed our dinner and had charcuterie with chicken and salad - well prepared and presented. Would recommend and return.
Went around noon on a weekday. Lovely environment. Nice & bright with tons natural lighting in the transparent closed top open garden. Like eating in Italy.
food was excellent ( portions small) and staff very good but seemed overwhelmed.
Prices on menu were sometimes different when the bill came.
Waiter could not correctly utilize a gift card despite saying he could.
Manager finally corrected waiter's error. Very noisy.
Exceptional meal in a beautiful place - romantic, warm & delicious. We felt as if we had returned to Tuscany. Don’t be in a hurry- even with reservations on a busy night, you might wait — go with it, enjoy the people, relax — you will emerge renewed!
First experience, lunch today, after years of forgetting it was right there by Faicco's and Murray's, where we routinely trek from way-uptown to shop. Very pleasant experience. Nice space, great hospitality, good food, nice wine, limited lunch menu but enough good choices. Didn't realize until today that Palma involved several interconnected spaces: front room, back room, private rooms, wine bar. Would be a great choice for a small private party.
The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is romantic and charming. The service left something to be desired. First, we arrived and there was no hostess to greet us so the bartender told us to wait and she'd be right over. No issue there. However, after about 5mins, some other patrons came in, walked right by us and went to the back to find someone and they got taken care of by the hostess before we did. Then, we had a reservation, were told to wait even though there were like 4-5 tables empty right in front of us. Then she eventually sat us at one of those original empty tables. Our server, although knowledgeable, also left something to be desired. We finished our appetizers before he brought us the bottle of wine we ordered prior to the food. And completely didn't bring over the side dishes we ordered for our meal and didn't realize it until we were done with our entrees. We were also sat in a table where I probably got knocked into like 3-4 times. Maybe we went on an off night. The food on the other hand was great - the lobster spaghetti had so much flavor. The pappardelle with lamb was delicious.
Excellent food and nice atmosphere.
Very nice room and welcoming staff. The gluten-free pasta was terrific and worth a trip for that alone. Fried artichokes need a sauce or something and more trimming. Very, very chewy and not crispy. White wine not chilled enough and the waiter ignored my husband mentioning it to him. I asked for ice. Red wines were offered to try before buying the bottle and settled on a great bottle recommended by the waiter. Veal chop milanese crispy and juicy. Meatballs very good. Fritto misto light and crispy. Cauliflower appetizer tasty. All in all a nice meal with friends. Never felt rushed or ignored.
Food was fantastic and the ambiance was amazing. Fabulous as always!
