They were out of several items on the menu by 8pm which was a little disappointing. The barking dog at the table next to us was also kinda rude. It’s still a special place and I’m sure they are doing everything they can during these times.
The food was okay. Expected better. Lacked flavor. Our waitress was not the friendliest had a lot of attitude.
Charming restaurant in the west village. Lovely outside dining is available.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone
Very good Italian food. A bit expensive but really good quality. The service was not exceptional. Serving at the table with no gloves and fingers too close to the food, and taking the mask off when you talk to clients, is not the best when the pandemic is not over yet.
Good food, nice ambiance a bit pricey perhaps. Good gluten-free option
Love Palma. Always great pastas and dining experience.
Everything at Palma was great. Since it was my birthday, I had mentioned that on the reservation, I thought that they would at least put a candle in my dessert, which they didn’t. Was a little bit disappointing, since this was my first date with my husband in over 1.5 years, and the first time we got some alone time ever since we had a baby. Other that this, the food was great, the service was great, and the ambience was nice.
ambiance is always great, but all of our food was a little cold. taste was still good but was looking for food to be hot.
the pastas are incredible!
Just so charming and lovely! Amazing Italian food.
Always the best! Food is incredible and authentic. Atmosphere is so charming. And service is like cooking a meal with family.
Delicious food! Specials are amazing, vegetables are superb. Romantic, relaxed elegant setting
Hands down some of the best food I have ever had. It was soo delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Though we made a reservation we had to wait almost 30 mins for our table. Eventually one of the staff allowed us to sit and an open table while we waited. The planning for tables and seating could be better.
Asked specifically for the garden and then arrived and was told it was closed. It was the whole point of why I went and the fact that they didn’t alert me earlier (despite leaving instructions in my reservation) was irritating. It was a birthday lunch and they ruined it.
So yummy! The staff was so sweet. We ordered a bunch of things family style. I was looking for a place to take some friends from out of town and Palma was a hit! Definitely will be coming back!
It felt very authentic Italian and made us want to return to Italy. Our waiter was also the sommelier, and he steered us toward a very nice bottle of wine that paired well with our food and was less than half the price of many of the bottles on the menu. He was personable but not intrusive. The food was very good.
As always (we have dined three times), food is delicious! The location is so quaint, almost a private recluse or a reprieve from the noisy streets of West Village. Love it!
I couldn’t wait to get out of there after sitting on very uncomfortable chairs for 90 minutes.
The food and ambiance were exceptional. This is one of my favorite places in the West Village!
Always the best. Francoise a plus
I totally lovee this place, food drinks amazing!!!
Absolutely incredible experience at Palma! We had a family reunion dinner and every single person was obsessed with the food, wine and ambience! Amazing service and very knowledgeable servers! Would recommend in a heartbeat!
Awesome place, awesome food!
One of my favorite restaurants in the city! Authentic Italian with such a friendly staff. You will not be disappointed!
We have eaten at Palma in the back patio several times during the pandemic. It had been excellent and lovely until our most recent visit. I had requested the patio in my reservation notes, and at 5pm on a Sunday, I didn't imagine that would be a problem. Turns out there was a sizable wedding in the patio, so we sat on a noisy, dirty sidewalk in ratty chairs, notably uncomfortable for one of our four recovering from an injury, and by and large we found the food a rank below all prior experiences—not a big surprise if a wedding was being tended to by most all the staff & kitchen. I will try again, but only if a call in advance can ensure the patio & an assurance that no event is taking place. It is notably pricier than many like-minded Italian spots in the neighborhood and usually worth it, but not last night. (Note too I did speak with someone the day before to reduce our party size from 5 to 4, giving them opportunity to see my note again and share with me that my patio request would not be possible and that a large event would be going on.)
Great food snd service. Highly recommend. I was so happy to see so many gluten free menu options!!
Service was very uneven - different tables seemed to get different attention. Food was rather salty. Pasta, while fresh was a bit too chewy. Biggest turnoff was the service. Best dish from our table was - believe it or not - the scrambled eggs with parmesan. Something perhaps to do once but a $30 pasta dish that is too salty and chewy and not served with warmth takes it off my list.
Palma has the total package — the most delicious and well prepared meals, excellent service and great al fresco dining in its one of kind Mediterranean courtyard!
This was one of the best dining experiences we had in a long time. The staff is amazing, the food experience was great, felt like we were in Italy! Thank you for creating something that comes from the heart. We felt it!
Such a lovely experience! The food was delicious and the ambiance was so wonderful I didn’t want to leave!
Loved the service and garden seating
Always perfect! Delicious food and wonderful ambiance!
Gorgeous lighting and delicious food in a warm cozy patio on a rainy night - was perfect for a special date night.
Waiter was incredibly inattentive. Music was hilariously bad (we were hoping to hear Amber Mark but they played a very weird selection of music instead). Pastas were tasty but definitely overpriced. The charcuterie board (which was more expensive than our main courses) and panna cotta (one of my top 3 favorite desserts) were underwhelming. Would not return.
Palma never disappoints. We sadly had not visited in a while and it was as great as ever. If you or someone in your group is gluten free, and the others are gluten lovers, you can’t go wrong here. You’d NEVER KNOW the cacio pepe ravioli was gluten free. Outstanding.
They seated us 25 minutes late even though our entire party was on time. They said that due to the rain, everyone wanted to sit inside, but they can’t disregard those who made indoor reservations and make them wait like that. They shared that the tables had paid but hadn’t left yet and they were unwilling to let them know they needed the table. It was an incredibly disappointing start to our first experience - they need to honor the indoor reservations for the time they reserved vs forcing them to wait because people changed their mind about sitting outside. The staff did make up for the terrible start to our experience though.
Great ambiance and setting. Lovely decor. The food was great. Veg friendly.
Such a pretty place with good food and drinks. Kind of odd they advertise gluten free pasta dishes and then said they were out of the gluten free pasta - so that was the only disappointing part (call ahead if you need it?). Otherwise, fantastic place.
The waitress was great.
