One of the best restaurants my wife and I have been to in NYC. Fresh, organic ingredients. Everything homemade, fantastic ambiance. Very romantic. 5 stars.
Like eating in a Tuscan farmhouse. This is NYC most romantic restaurant!!!! We ate in the garden room and the birch trees with the roses are fabulous. The food is delicious. The wait staff and others, love working there and it shows. Highly recommend this gem
5 stars for great food and ambiance. Table service was good too. Well stocked bar with plenty of Italian aperitifs.
Had to wait 30 mins. past our reservation time to be seated.
The ambience in Palma is buzzy and intimate as if we’d arrived on the set of Narnia!! The room was dressed prettily with huge white floral arrangements and lots of candlelight.
Our arrival was acknowledged but then we were left waiting as another couple who arrived after us were prioritised...not the best start as Palma insist on a 15 minute flexibility window!!
The menus were on our little table and the specials explained by our waiter, when he took our drinks order.
We only had time for mains which were both super delicious in flavour and generous of portion. Seafood risotto and mushroom pasta...can’t remember the full title and description!!
We drank cocktails and white wine which were all delicious and temperature perfect.
My partner’s Birthday wasn’t acknowledged in any way but maybe that’s as well as he getting old!!!!
Would recommend for sure.
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food. We had the artichokes, ravioli caccio e pepe and the risotto. They were all excellent. Many beautiful natural roses. I wish their pasta wasn't gluten free, though and my seating was uncomfortable (cornered against a column). Somewhat expensive.
Palma is still my favorite restaurant in NYC. Returning here is like visiting an old friend in Italy. From the minute you step inside you feel the warmth and the hospitality of the entire staff. The setting is gorgeous. On this particular night white floral arrangements graced the bar and the tables so their scent trailed behind you as you enter the garden where the holiday decorations, all white and silver and shimmery, compete with trellises and white roses. Your Prosecco is served in a unique antique glass, each dish is fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. And you never want to leave. My happy place. I had the good fortune to meet Palma at one time and her gracious demeanor coupled with her pride in her family heritage and the history of Palma define exactly why there is no place like it. Palma is magical.
Hello: Thank you so much for taking the time to rate your visit with Palma. We so appreciate hearing from our guest and were delighted you enjoyed your evening with us. We look forward to your next visit. Best, The Palma Team
They need to change the chairs, they are so small and uncomfortable!
This is such a hidden gem on Cornelia street. I was surprised that it was quite empty because the decor is so cute and the food is very good (although a bit pricey). I tried the vegetarian focaccia for brunch and want to come back for dinner.
Alas, this formerly affordable Italian gem is now charging haute cuisine prices for simple country cooking. Prices have risen at least 50% since our last visit. Sorry: won’t be back for $30 past and $45 entrees.
We love Palma for special occasions. It's pretty pricey but the food is phenomenal. New Years eve last year was perfection. That's why we decided to return. This year my only complaint was the service. It was good, but not exceptional. We weren't greeted when we first arrived, and we had to flag someone down for our check. Small things for sure, except when you're a picky person like me, and you're paying top dollar, you want top service. But the place is gorgeous and the food oh so good. I'll be back!
This restaurant is an absolute gem. We booked here for the New Year’s Eve dinner and the effort they made for the evening was incredible with such attention to detail. The rooms were all transformed into a romantic paradise with flowers, balloons, and candles, absolutely stunning! They even provided us with party hats and tiaras. Our dinner was all pre-set but we had choices and it was all very delicious, we had oysters, beef tartare, and halibut crudo for starters and pasta with clams and pasta with guinea fowl for primi and for the secondi lobster, ribeye steak, and lamb chops. The service was friendly and attentive on such a busy night. The band that played later on the night was great. An amazing and memorable evening, thank you so much!
Magical , relaxed setting! Palma never disappoints!
As always, the best
Wonderful food and service, as always. Our server Victor was outstanding.
Fabulous restaurant. The food was incredible and love the decor and ambiance. Definitely come back next time we are in New York.
Food and service was fantastic.
Food was excellent! Very authentic Italian! Great service!
The setting, ambience, service, experience overall are wonderful, maybe near perfect. A joy to enjoy. The special pan-seared chicken was good. Crisp exterior, expectedly juicy inside. The cheese-loaded angelotti were also good. Not really anegelotti, much more like ravioli. Considering the level of ambience and service, we wish the food was a bit more exciting, more interesting. Are we just jaded New Yorkers who expect too much? We will leave that to anyone who reads this and tries Palma.
Unbelievable! What a gem! Food was beyond delicious and the ambiance was lovely! we cannot wait to go back!
Absolutely fabulous -- the food the staff the décor --a wonderful evening!
Food was amazing, I recommend the meatballs and rice balls for appetizers! We got there about 15 minutes before our 6pm reservation so the hostess asked us to have a seat at the bar, we got cocktails and then waited until 625 when multiple parties after us were seated. Apparently the hostess forgot about us.
An amazing place. The food was delicious, a beautiful place and the service very welcoming.
Palma gets an A+ for ambiance and service. The wait staff was attentive without being pushy. The restaurant decor also reminded me of a Tuscan farmhouse - which I'm sure was the desired effect. I have no complaints about the food other than it was overpriced, as so many Italian places in the West Village tend to be.
Nice place especially in the garden. Food great.
It was amazing with delicious food!!!
We’ve been coming to Palma a few times a year, for a several years. This is not my first review of my favorite restaurant. Since moving two hours north, it’s more challenging, but we still make it a point to celebrate special occasions at this outstanding establishment. Since our first meal several years back to the one we enjoyed just this past weekend, every single dinner has been consistent and the service nearly impeccable. Although the noise level is high, you forget about it when you’re treated with attention and care. They remember when you send a note with your reservation and wish you a happy birthday or anniversary. You get seated where you request to be seated. They developed their own gluten free pasta recipe which is - for one whose stomach churns even eating supposed gluten free pasta elsewhere - unbelievable (NOTE: the kitchen is not gluten free)!!! Make their own pasta? Check. Beautiful surroundings in a private garden? Check. Great neighborhood? Check. Top quality food? Check. Service almost to a fault? Check. Go to Palma. You won’t be disappointed.
Really good vibe with great pasta and so many fantastic appetizers! Great service as well. Can't wait to go back!
Good cauliflower and artichoke appetizers, good wine, Barbara. The pasta was well prepared, but mine was at room temp, pappardelle
Dessert was good, my wife appreciated the pannacotta.
Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful service.
My second time back and it was just as amazing as my first experience!
This is a great “go to” for me while in NY. Love the ambience and the food is always AMAZING!
Great place to enjoy dinner conversation (quiet & intimate) with fantastic food. The ambiance is made cozy warm lighting (not harsh) as well as little nooks & crannies everywhere you look. Remeber BOOK ahead of time because, this place always appears to be packed. A++
Best dinner, as usual!!
Best restaurant, super cozy
Will return next tine in nyc
Very sweet place. Food amazing. Service helpful and courteous. Did not feel rushed. Book front room.
